I did this and they already shipped Phage and Venom. Venomized Gwen isn’t even in Target’s site.

Remember the Red Circle deal they have going now. I got most of the wave for $87.

Maybe the X wave baf is Krakoa

StuartGreen2019 10-10-2020 08:55 PM

I didn't see it posted here, so sorry if I'm repeating, but Toy Shiz has a new Marvel Legends team interview and these were the most interesting bits that stuck out for me:

- The new 3.75 inch figures will start with '80s classic characters, so M.C.U. and more modern versions of characters in that scale aren't planned yet. There are also more 3.75 inch Retro figures that they haven't revealed yet.

- The team spoke about Maximum Carnage and they know that Carrion and Shriek still need to get made. They need to figure out which waves to release them in first before we see them. Toy Shiz also mentioned Nightwatch and '90s suit/jacket Firestar were the only other characters missing to be made into figures from that storyline.

- Since Retro Spider-Man is a huge hit, we may see "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" versions of those characters in the toyline and Dan said they're aware of high fan demand right now. Dwight said the animated series versions weren't the original intention, but that they will mix in characters not from the show that "were too good not to" include in the toyline. Toy Shiz was asked by the team which animated series figures he'd like to see them make and he said Venom was his #1 pick. He also mentioned Blade and Alistair Smythe, mentioning he'd love a human form Smythe in the hoverchair before jokingly adding, "Just make them all." (I would be okay with that -- my wallet would not)

- In regards to more 'Into the Spider-Verse' figures, Dwight said that he'd love to do more and name-dropped Peter B. Parker and Peni Parker, as well as wanting more villains. While Kingpin was mentioned, unfortunately, they said they may not do another Kingpin figure so soon after the recent Retro figure.

- There are more accessories to be revealed for toys like ITSV Miles and Firestar. Toy Shiz said Black Cat's new cat would also be good as Maguire for a Mad Jack figure.

- There will be "several" items for Target's Retro event in addition to the Retro X-Men Gambit and Rogue. The figures and Retro event happens this December and it sounded like it's being hyped as an In-Store event.

I think I missed some, but those were the moments I remembered best.

MeLikeJinx 10-10-2020 09:37 PM

^ The next Kingpin will probably be an all black suit Kingpin, so he will still be very desirable IMO.

Also, I wish the retro X wave were just Gambit and Rogue... would make them much easier to find if they came 3 or 4 each in a wave. If they are one each in a wave of 6 figures... gonna be impossible to find IMO. Retro Storm was impossible to find for me and she wasn't even a Target exclusive.

The monster thing from Giant Sized X-Men? They said the wave would be all from the modern day series.

Virtually all the world's mutants live on Krakoa in the current comics.

Actually a Krakoan gateway would be kind of cool... doesn't have much to do with sentinels, though.

The Storm 2-pack is on sale for shipping again on target.com

Those are the ones. They were pretty Byrne specific, but some other illustrators revisited them.

Why would they go back to that place? They nearly lost Jean, Angel, Iceman, and Beast on there. :D :D :D :D :D

They might as well just reopened Genosha.

TheBlueMarvel 10-11-2020 07:40 AM

Random: Hasbro's created all of the requisite parts outside of the tunic; a Jack of Hearts could be delivered fairly easily at this point.

Hasbro?

sh002 10-11-2020 07:41 AM

Target has the toy offers again until 10/17. Luckily I was able to use the two offers last week as well. I repurchased some toys to get them cheaper and then I’ll return the originals back to the store. Also broke down and bought the Lori Dollhouse.

A lot of Storm and Thunderbird sets are listed in Targets around me on popfindr. Some stores have 2 cases. Now would be a good time to be able to get it in store or online with the offer.

Absolutely, I'm all for that. Especially the robot/android/synthezoids and incredible era-specific/fantastic costumes: Torgo (and the other Hulk Hunters: Dark-Crawler and Amphibion), Omega the Unknown, Wundarr/& his Aquarian form, FA Quasar (or Marvel Boy - of the not Vance Astro variety), and FA Captain Britain just to name a few.

Just bought them all! Really ingenius approach on these Kenner inspired figures. Besides, I need a break from 6 inch figures. Can't wait to see the rest of all this real cool nostalgic goodness!!!

A whopping 3 times the nostalgia for only $9 bucks? SOLD. In addition to the figure + Kenner cardback; those mailer boxes feel like both a classic comic + classic TSR boxes. Simple, refreshing. I feel like a kid in the 80s all over again....

I’m in on the retro line. Especially if they stick with the bronze age focus. More Avengers, more X-Men. Vision & Silver Surfer would be the top of my list.

How exactly are you guys getting them into your cart to purchase? Whenever I try to access them either via the website or the app, it says they are not available to ship to my area, or that they are only available for preorder at the moment.

sh002 10-11-2020 10:04 AM

Yep. Ordered all of the Retro 3.75” figures so far and will buy more of their comic releases. Especially if they make a Wolverine and as many X-Men. Hopefully they’ll also be sold through Hasbro Pulse and not Walmart.

In a militarily tactical sense, not smart at all. 1-2 tactical nukes would take em all out.

Yep, you can even use em as human sized Sentinels

Veronica Mars 10-11-2020 11:34 AM

Second half of Shartimus' interview with the Legends team is up, towards the end he gave them a wish list, Dwight said at least 5 of them were on the way

Captain Nash 10-11-2020 11:49 AM

I'm absolutely guilty of going off topic and I appreciate the interest in the new 3.75" figures, but I don't know if discussion of them should be better suited for the actual 3.75" thread - that's right below or above this thread usually?

Unless of course we're talking about wanting to get 6" versions of the 3.75" figures. the topic doesn't have to be completely banned, just trying to sort out the most logical place of discussions.
