They could also reuse/mod Peggy Carter, or reuse the Cuckoo's blazer

It’s been a big week for me. My hellfire club order finally arrived, the storm and Thunderbird two pack arrived, and the retro card to Kingpin arrived!
The hellfire club said is phenomenal! I’ll probably display Selene instead of Jean, but that’s my personal preference. I will say that the kingpin figure looks awesome! The colors are just great on him. When they initially announced the first build a figure I was really disappointed that he was in all white, this correct that mistake. I might even sell the initial BAF now.
As for the X-Men two pack, storm is a great figure. I feel that the pinless system restrict the movement a little bit, but they gave her enough alternate parts that it doesn’t bother me. I am a little disappointed and Thunderbird. He’s just kind of there. I’m happy to have him but he doesn’t really stand out on my shelf.

It can be pertinent. Especially if they make 3.75 versions of Antmam, Wasp, Yellowjacket plus others just like those. Would be really cool too if each came with even smaller versions of their characters.

sh002 10-12-2020 06:49 AM

Storm and Thunderbird are available to order online from Target right now and it looks like the toy offers can be used more than once.

Damn... I guess Shartimus doesn't really care for Excalibur... his wishlist had no Shadowcat, no Captain Britain, no Rachel Grey, no Meggan. No Blob either on his list... I hope most people don't think the toybiz BAF Blob is acceptable... that figure sucks and doesn't deserve his expensive secondary market price IMO... we need an upgraded Blob badly.

100% Agree with the Blob sentiments. He's hideous. They need a new one desperately.

Captain Nash 10-12-2020 07:45 AM

I agree I’d like a new Blob. I could easily have completed him way back when but he was a bit too over the top gross.

His wishlist was odd, and I would say not particularly indicative of what the larger fan community wants, unless Toyark & Fwoosh (the sites I’m on most) are way off-base. List needed more Excalibur, Longshot, West Coast Avengers, & outback X-Men.

TheBlueMarvel 10-12-2020 07:51 AM

FYI- the Blob was a Hasbro BAF.

I wouldn't be upset with a new figure, but I also like the first one and think it was one of the early BAFs Hasbro actually did correctly. The look feels pretty consistent with the way he appeared in that outfit.

Dr Kain 10-12-2020 09:07 AM

He's Blob though, he's supposed to be gross. If you were that fat you would be gross looking too.

Why would HIS wishlist be what the community wants though?

kylactus 10-12-2020 09:14 AM

Anyone in the mid TN area, there’s a bunch of ML MCU figure lots on the “offer up” site. I don’t know how to link. But there out of mcminnville Tn on offer up. If that helps.

Toy reviewers are just toy reviewers. Nothing special.

And yet, everyone knows him because of that.

Seriously though, leave the man alone. He seems to be a really nice guy and he doesn't go attacking others for their opinions like another toy reviewer does. Not to mention Shartimus clearly likes toys compared to that other guy that nitpicks every single detail.

hasbroherofan 10-12-2020 11:18 AM

I have no problem with him. I'm sure he's a nice guy in real life. There were some cringey parts of the interview though. Like multiple times trying to "subtly" ask that Hasbro ditch Target even when the Legends team pointed out that unfortunately, that's just not a financial reality in 2020.

I get being pissed off about how hard exclusives can be to find (though personally, I always have a fairly easy time at Target, especially compared to the barren hellscape that is Walmart), but asking a toy company to burn bridges with one of the biggest retailers in the country just because you're upset about not being able to get the Storm two-pack is a little silly.

That other guy sounds like Anthony

Dan Yun's latest tweet seems like there maybe another BaF this year

warmachine6 10-12-2020 11:34 AM

i think it might be the house of X wave or is that scheduled for next year ?

I assumed it would be for next year but maybe not. I can't imagine what it could be unless it's D+ stuff, but if it's X-Men related I'm game. That or, Hasbro said screw it, we're putting out the Eternals stuff (very very very unlikely)
