I returned 5 Storm and Thunderbird sets and plan on returning 2 more. Got the best paint apps for the 4 sets that I’m keeping and made use of the $25 off offer twice plus the $1 consolidation discount. There are a lot of sets showing up everywhere and it’s still available online. I wonder if it will go on clearance anywhere.

I understand people getting a bit desperate to get this set as the Red Hulk exclusive was very hard to find and GI JOE has been a fiasco (though I don't know if that is an exclusive) I was one of the ones freaking out as I could not miss this set since the set was SO important to finish off my GSXM collection but I'm lucky...I was able to be in line first at a local Target and get what I needed plus sets for other folks here. Soooo... Yeah. I understand the freaking out a bit but don't condone feeding the SCALPERS. If anyone is looking for something from Target please always PM me. I'll help any way I can.

Just got my Storm/Thunderbird 2-pack in the mail today.

Yeah, I don't really condone scalping and I know I kind of feed into it a little, but they have been a few things I've really wanted to be really sure I got and two of them just happened to hit in the last few months. I think I've done ebay 3 times total in 15-20 years - Hellfire Club, FA Storm (Thunderbird as bonus but he was not why I bought the set in any way) and for the first Moonstar I got. I might go that route for Firestar if necessary but otherwise there's no other figures/versions i want THAT badly.

My local Target had TONS of the various two sets, a peg full of Mystiques & Domino, and a bunch of the squirrel girl figures on clearance.

Precisely. While some people feasted on the Cobra Island exclusives, I only ever saw Beachhead and Roadblock all but one time apiece...in which I picked them up. Never again afterwards. I never even once ran into a trooper or Baroness, and I was checking multiple stores a day up to 3 times a week. Daily searches on Popfindr were fruitless and if their results were to believed...southern AZ Targets received a whopping total of four (TOTAL) spread out amongst 5 or 6 stores we have. I had no choice but to head to ebay for Baroness and said to hell with the trooper altogether.

Neca distribution has been equally as bad down here. I've gotten lucky and haven't had to resort to scalpers with that thank goodness, but my workplace puts me in multiple stores throughout the course of a day, so I'm able to hunt more easily for stuff than say the average collector who might only get out to hunt once a week...in which in that case are likely to be screwed.

My local Targets are now drowning with Storm and Old Man Logan sets, with DP and Magneto sets being a bit more scarce. Hopefully when this next go around of Joe exclusives drops, Target won't shit the bed with the order and have larger amounts like the Storm sets, and less like whatever stupidity they were doing before.

I would assume so...I found that box set at my local Gamestop yesterday...but have yet to see it anywhere else.

I never thought I'd see the Punisher bike on the shelves at Target. They also had Spiderman Retro line though only Gwen & Peter Parker were left. You can bet I made use of the Target $25 coupon. I also grabbed the Jurassic World Brachiosaurus -- It's not quite suited to my collection but I like it when ridiculously over-the-top toys make it to retail.

Oh no shit? I just realized your profile says you live in Tuscon. Are one of those Targets the one on Spear? Or close to Spear? Sorry, I forget if it was directly on there. My wife's parents live in Tuscon, so we go there occassionally to visit them and naturally I look at the stores there for stuff.

nope. just fits perfectly, the hand too. the arm (from the bicep) i swapped after soaking briefly in hot water. no modding at all (other than removing tattoo with acetone)
