I don't think the BAF being "deep cut" totally rules out the possibility of it being Mr. Hyde. He is pretty obscure compared to a lot of choices I thought would be more likely such as MODOK, the Brood Queen, or Mojo.

Could it be Lilith? I mean she should probably be bigger than a standard ML female figure

Those aren't villains though so putting them in would be pretty insulting to the notion that it's an all-villains wave. Granted you do doubt it'll happen.

I could easily see Hasbro considering Hyde "deep cut" because he practically is.

Speaking of obscure 90's characters I would really like them to do Sepulchre in the line

They should just do a 90s wave line. This way I can finally get Sleepwalker, they can do someone like Cardiac, maybe another New Warrior, Sepulchre for you, Blaze and Llith from Midnight Sons, and Shiva from X-Men.

Yay! I just summed up the last page of posts. Can we get back to appreciating the custom and discussing Marvel Legends?

I love the detail you did in the eyes as they really pop out against the entire figure and make him look truly threatening. If that were a real figure, I might end up buying it despite never really being a huge fan of the material. I enjoyed the first film and the two animated movies, but not enough to read the comics since I'm still working on Silver Age and Bronze Age books from Marvel and DC.

Thanx For all the Great Comments. Much Appreciated.

I am absolutely on board with that. Never heard of her before the Thunderbolts arc she was in, but she's quite interesting.

Also voting to put Sersi in her bomber jacket look in this wave! Much prefer that to her classic green swimsuit, though some of her other green looks have been better.

How about the alternate Swordsman and Magdalene. Yeah, I'm that one person who wants them made.

And that's all I've got, I think all the others I'd be interested in would predate 90's or be X-men characters.

If Hyde is considered a deep cut then that's who I'm going to guess it's going to be. He's 90% done with the Mr. Fixit mold, just need some slight alterations, a new head and recoloring.

I just figured, that since he was somewhat highly requested, he would be too prominent, but I'm grasping at who else would fit for general (non X-Men/Spider Man), maybe Armadillo - oh god, it's probably going to be MODAM.

Yeah, without going all pseudo-intellectual it's fair to note that "deep cut" on its own is pretty subjective based on the community being pooled. The comic-reading community should be at least aware of Mr Hyde, he's had enough appearances, but then the general public will most likely be unaware that there's a Marvel character using that moniker since he's not a headliner villain and he's had next to no media representation.

Marvel kinda pushed him when the game Marvel Heroes was running (before the owner basically forced Disney to have to cut ties). He was a recurring boss in one of the major grinding zones. Also he technically was in Agents of Shield.

In terms of Obscure BAF characters, I'd go for Crimson Dynamo Galina edition, Spider-Slayers, Blackheart (classic not that 'new' mess of a design) , Maybe that guy who was supposed to be the head of all feral type mutants when Marvel was pushing for them to actually be a race of their own.

MeLikeJinx 11-03-2020 08:24 PM

I don't like these vague hints... they should go back to doing the black silhouette thing like they did with Silk and Elektra and Sif.

JJJ has been revealed, so now we need Robbie Robertson and Betty Brant right?

I would absolutely love that! And a Ned Leeds alternate head with the Hobgoblin rerelease that has to be coming!

They could be going for a pun - Executioner?

sh002 11-04-2020 07:42 AM

Fortnite Rabbit Raider is in stock online at Target. He can go well with White Rabbit and other figures. Plus his glasses will fit Retro Peter Parker.

That's some really sharp thinking there.

I dunno, I’ve got an axe to grind with all of these puns, can we cut it out?

sh002 11-04-2020 09:24 AM

For a deep cut I’ll take a BAF Shiva. I’ll be in the minority and take a BAF Weapon H as well.

Maybe we'll get Razor Fist

Yeah a lot of discussions about deep cut are tricky because obscure to comic book fans means something totally different than say, obscure to a mass retail audience. So I could see it being Mr. Hyde, especially since they all but guaranteed they plan to reuse parts from the Mr. Fixit body in the near future.

As for the wave itself...I'm really hoping we finally get an updated Lady Deathstrike. I think she and someone like Red Skull would be good well known anchor characters for a wave like that.

I'm thinking it's very likely we'll get a figure that's an update from the original TB Bring On the Bad Guys wave and she seems an obvious pick.

We've just gotten a Pyro, while people may not be happy with them we've gotten Loki and Green Goblin not too long ago, and I think at this point it's safe to say that Hasbro just can't manufacture an acceptable Abomination (for whatever reason, it just seems to elude them). All that's left is Blackheart and Deathstrike. The wave will likely have one female figure, and the current Deathstrike is and has always been horrendous, and the Blackheart figure, while in need of an update, is still IMO passable. Odds would seem to slant towards Deathstrike.

But I do think we will get one "big name" villain in this wave. Just not Loki or GG.

usernamedustin 11-04-2020 12:57 PM

All this talk about deep cuts...
Is someone looking for a knife fight?
https://i.postimg.cc/sDjMS9K8/IMG-4136.jpg

My predictions/wishlist for the Bring on the Bad Guys
1. Arcade
2. Dormammu
3. Red Skull
4. Mandarin
5. Mephisto
6. Toad
7. Skrull Trooper
BaF: Awesome Android, but I really want a Brood Queen, Blob, or Cameron Hodge.

Honorable Mention: A better Loki, but I don't think it is likely so soon after the last one.
