Cosmo.

Even though I have no interest in the new Rogue, I will say that I love that she has pinless legs.

See i am the exact opposite. This pinless stuff makes it a major pain in the ass to do mods or fixes if need be. Granted it makes the fig look a slight bit better but id rather have the pins especially given hasbro qc issues.

I absolutely have always wanted that.

Really didn't like how Negasonic felt like half a sculpted figure, thanks to rather plain and unremarkable half below the waist. Saw that Robo on one of his Fwoosh Play Days had swapped out NTW's calves with Nico's for a more detailed and accurate look...and cursed myself for not thinking of it before. Took A LOT of hot water baths, but the swap required no dremeling or drilling, and I'm MUCH happier with her now!

I need a few pairs of those Nico/Magik boots.

There's Magiks as far as the eye can see at every Walgreens near me, so let me know if you want me to pick any up. I'd send them your way for retail plus shipping just to get them off local shelves.

MeLikeJinx 11-08-2020 08:54 PM

That pic is so wrong... where's Yukio? Need Yukio so Deadpool can say hi Yukio and bye Yukio and Yukio can say hi Wade and bye Wade.

I think X-23 is currently the cheapest figure with those boots.

Given that I never had success with pins when I would try to mod figures, I gave up on ever taking apart legs. It was a giant hassle and a waste of time.

Anyway, Figuarts has been doing pinless joints for a long time, so it's nice to see Hasbro finally doing it, especially because now the female legs don't get all warped from standing up straight.

You could probably make a Yukio figure using a modified Nico figure as the base. It'd just probably end up looking more like Yukio from The Wolverine rather than Yukio from Deadpool.

The days and (non covid) limitations of not being able to go toy hunting are now at an end. I lost my best friend, my absolute four legged companion yesterday. His care has required me to be at home almost constantly for the last three plus years (difficult when I was so sick last year, but fortunately so many stepped in to help) and was the main reason I have not been able to get out and have relied on online ordering, and I think he would want me to try to find some happiness even without him. So here's to hunting days again.

Nash, my friend, I'm so sorry to see this. My condolences. I've had my fair share of pets as well. It's never easy when they pass. I'm sure he was the best.

Thanks all and any unspoken thoughts too. It's really appreciated - he's been with me almost as long as I've been collecting Legends. I got him in March of 2006 and started Legends in the fall of 2005 with the TB Sentinel wave aside from one Thor I picked up back in 2003/2004. Having him for so long, even the last few months which were rougher than just his normal care, and having such amazing legends releases have been two bright spots in my 2020. I sometimes thought "maybe I should stop collecting six months after he passes" because my mind works that way sometimes. It likes symmetry, but I know I won't stop. I could say I owe it to him to keep collecting! But no, I think definitely time to slow down a bit. I do feel like sometimes in the last three years I was so tired and worn down from his care that I would get figures I really didn't need as a consolation, don't really need to do that anymore.

However that's just what I did this afternooon. ha. I took off a half day to get away from the suddenly silent house and went to get groceries which I was going to do yesterday until weere suddenly rushing him to the ER vet, and I did stop at the local Target (Rivergate), either the second or third time since the pandemic hit. They did have about a half dozen of the Storm/Thunderbird sets, some of the AoA wave and the Widow wave, which due to near complete absence in retail this year I hadn't seen the AoA wave in retail before. I did get a second Storm/Thunderbird set, with one that had slightly better hands and will keep her in her angry goddess look. None of the new Rogue/Gambit but I guess that's not out quite yet?

Anyways, I'm not sure when I'll make it out again but I doubt it will be months between like it used to be. The spot by the desk sure looks empty of blankets, and the recliner just doesn't feel the same without him snuggled right up next to me. it's time for me to get out and live some again.

Wonder if the art on the back of the HasbroPulse Silk box has any hints.

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/01...g?v=1600958073

Of the characters Hasbro hasn't done yet, I spot Miss America, Mandarin (we're def at least getting an MCU version), White Tiger (Angel Del Toro), Sin, Cosmo and the Celstials.
