His review was pretty un-thorough and somewhat rushed like they tend to be, but that's kinda his MO as he is usually the first guy out the gate with them. |

So far the revealed characters have all ranged from B to C listers. I strongly suspect at least one of the remaining figures will be a big A-list villain to serve as the anchor for retail. Given we've already just gotten versions of Loki, Doctor Doom (two of them, even!) and classic Green Goblin, I think classic Red Skull will be in the wave.
|
I’ve been thinking this where we finally see Ultron, especially with Jocasta having just come out. Ideally for me, the rest of the wave would be something along the lines of: Ultron, Mephisto, Red Skull, & Attuma. Judging by the “obscure” clue, Armadillo or Orka BAF?

I'd like to see Titania in the BOTBG waves
|
While I would love to finally get a Titania, my hope is for Mephisto as one of those final spots for the villain wave...

I see the merit of the increasingly popular idea that the Sony film Venom be repurposed as Blackheart. While the proportions and articulation of the upper torso are very satisfying, there are some things that I would want in the fig that point more in the direction of a unique sculpt. I really like the the TB textures and even though I have seen Blackheart illustrated without the pocks and spikes, I believe it to be an important carry over from the classic fig and would be disappointed to see it go. Of course, the lupine lower-legs are just as important as is a prehensile tail IMO... https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...psam3sgwzb.jpg https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...psw13bk2b4.jpg But any magic powered villain/hero will suffice for me, truth be told...Nightmare, Baron Mordo, Doc Druid, Damion Hellstrom, D'Spayre, Clea, Belasco, Kurse, etc. https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...ps6808npdf.jpg https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...ps3uu2ulxb.jpg https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...psxlw72qnp.jpg https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...psazp3i33q.jpg https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...ps68igt4wf.jpg |

I managed to find a Carnage today among a platoon of Symbiote Mileses and Gwens. They had 8 Miles, 5 Gwens, and just one lone Carnage.

I do agree his review seemed rushed, but hell, I tried to review an action figure once and failed so badly I never bothered to release the review publically and have never attempted to do another since, so I can't speak badly for him when I can't do them myself either. |

According to Jay C from TNI and Marvelous News, he said in his last video that according to his source the last 3 figures in the Bring on the Bad Guys wave are Hydra Supreme, Victor Von Doom and Lady Deathstrike
|
If true...Whoomp, whoomp, whooooomp...
Deathstrike is cool conceptually and wanted, however, design/version choice and execution are going to be pivotal. I'm quite curious to see what they do. "Deep cut" finally comes into perspective with that one, although I wouldn't have minded an Executioner, or definitely one of the Razorfists. Doom? It's currently raining Vics...short of a Future Foundation, I'm just not sure how hyped I can get for yet another Doomsey. Doomsdayman? Sure. Weird for sure, but, yeah, why not? Hydra Supreme instead of Von Strucker? So quickly after the two pack - is that fig in demand? In light of the last four, I'm kinda over Marvel's super-reich types - there's been enough glorification of repulsive dead-end reprobates. Unless it's Strucker, or Baron Blood...which I'm starting to think I'll never see. |
I'm surprised Hydra Supreme and Victor Von Doom might be in the wave, considering the cool Retro Doctor Doom we're getting. Lady Deathstrike, on the other hand, is welcome news. We need more female figures, especially more female villain figures. Lady Deathstrike is long overdue and I'll likely pre-order her once she goes up.
Since we have more Marvel Legends coming out in 2020, I'm curious to see what's left, especially since we have another Build-A-Figure wave on the way that may or may not turn out to be the Spider-Verse wave. So far, the Retro Spider-Man wave remains my favorite Marvel Legends wave of 2020 and I hope we'll see more of them in 2021. |
If it IS Doom (again) then i hope its at least the Battle Damaged, just got his ass beat by the Beyonder version from Secret Wars

I was kind of hoping for a new version of Madame Hydra or a Serpent Society member, but okay. Hell, I wouldn't have even minded Nightmare or Baron Mordo despite them already having Dormmamu in the wave. Lady Deathstrike might be cool. Anyway, Carnage is fantastic outside of three minor nitpicks. The first being that I hate him having toes there. I would have rathered it been rounded as if he had boots on, not bare feet. Secondly, I think I might put the gooey tentacle back piece from the original version on him instead of the new one as the one one looks kind of like a shell to me as poosed to just something coming out of his back. I'm not sure. I mean, the new one looks cool, but as I said, it looks like he has a mini turtle shell on his back or something. Finally, I wish had came with some alternate hands like an axe hand or a blade hand. Just something to give him some more display options. I understand why they didn't given he is pretty much an entirely new sculpt, which is utterly amazing, but it means the poses I put him in all look the same. Oh, and I would have prefered them to have retooled the Cletus head for him instead of giving him the head with some pagan symbol on it. |
And after reading Bo Ttef's reply, I'm reminded how much I'd love to see Hasbro make a Retro Secret Wars toyline! There are so many characters that they could do: Captain America with a broken shield, black costume Spider-Man on the new retro Spidey body, Iron Man II with a Jim Rhodes alternate head, the Monica Rambeau Captain Marvel, '80s suit Rogue, Beyonder Doctor Doom, Doctor Octopus with bendable tentacles, classic Lizard, Absorbing Man, Ultron... ah, the possibilities.

...but 2099 Doom would be AMAXZING!
