When it comes time to redo Absorbing Man, some kit-bashing may be in order, with Tigershark's upper body with alternate arms, and Hydro-Man's legs repainted purple to match the Build-A-Figure.

Thanks for the heads up. Gamestop has really stepped up with their online shipping with my experiences over this past year, so I just placed an order there myself. |

I’ll pose the X-Men with that new Blackbird that I’ll rarely transform.
http://www.toyark.com/attachments/61...7e70b5f0d.jpeg Rogue is currently sold out and the 2 Spider-Man figures are still listed as coming soon. |
Has anyone checked Popfinder for Rogue and Gambit?
|
new rumor is the Hood is supposed to also be in the BOTBG wave. That's two figures for me then. though of course, was still hoping for more.

Dunno if anyone's seen it but Marvel Select is doing a classic Titanium Man!

Can the next boxset be Pet Avengers vs The Pets of Evil Masters?

This BOTBG wave is looking more & more like a huge pass for me. Don't need another Doom, Red Skull, Loki, not a huge fan of Arcade, nor Lady Deathstrike. Had it included Count Nefaria, Mr Hyde, Classic Moonstone, I'd be all over it. Many villains that have never been done but are on everyone's wish list & yet they keep making the same bad guys over & over.
|
I just realized the irony of someone with the username Nimrod posting in a thread about Marvel toys. XD
For those who don't remember, Nimrod is the name of an X-Men villain. |
And again, Count Nefaria comes up. He's a great general Marvel villain, Iron Man villain and he even was an X-Men villain for one story. While it's a shame he presumably isn't being included in this wave, the amount of posts mentioning him on various sites make me think he's to appear on several "top 10 want lists" for sites soon. Given he would not be too difficult a figure to sculpt I can see him coming soon.
but yeah, Lady Deathstrike and Hood are great. Arcade I can understand the excitement, but I can't stand him personally, so no interest there. Some of us don't need another Doom or Dormuumuu. and Scientist Supreme will be great for some but easy pass for others. Will have to wait to see if the final figure is Stevil or not. Maybe soon though we'll see Graviton, Count Nefaria, Wizard, Attuma, Titania, Maximus the Mad, an updated Mandarin, an, an updated Maestro, an updated Viper, classic Moonstone and (less likely) an updated Blackheart, Morgan LeFay and Crimson Cowl. That would just about set me perfectly for villains, not including the handful of Spider-Man villains and the swath of X-Men related villains I want. |
Ooh. I hope the rumor of the Hood is true.

Nefaria is certainly a classic, although he's not heavily used considering the character's age. Graviton is another villain I frequently see brought up that I also think is due for a release even though he's again not very recurring.

:D Arcade is a far superior X-Men villain than Nefaria. Nefaria only killed a member by accident, Arcade is a master assassin who plays games with his opponents. Hell, he even got his own video game based on him. I don't see a game with Nefarira's name on it. :) |

Nefaria and Graviton are lesser known heavyweights that present a threat to heroes on a level easily comparable to the likes of Doom, Ultron, Mags, Loki, etc. They are important villains to an expansive cross-section of comic geekdom that have been requested for the duration of the time I have spent here on the Ark.
While the two don't often show up in Marvel books, when they do, they do so with gravitas and an abundance of dramatic tension. You don't casually stand off, mano a mano, with these characters unless you are an upper echelon hero. And even then, you are still going to require assistance to put them down for the count. For all of the far more obscure and far less consequential villains that have been delivered, I for one would be very happy if Hasbro could dial up some fan service for characters such as these. Having to patiently and dutifully wade through the Prowlers, Spymasters, and White Rabbits is fine (no offense to their fans, they just aren't villains I needed) provided I get some sort of trade-off in the bargain. Why did we have to wait so long for a proper Doom and how much longer will we need to wait for a well done Ultron? Destroyer? Comic Kurse? Kang was such a beautifully crafted relief, one that has left me more than a little nervous as to when I will receive my next fix. Hasbro needs to really work on their operant conditioning reward schedule as I may just lose interest altogether if they keep stretching out my treats in this manner... https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...psemda9mej.jpg https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...psk3hw7ufx.jpg https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...pswg24kipb.jpg |
At Walmart I saw someone switched out the new Carnage for the one from the previous Venom wave. It was quite an ingenious swap.
|
I'm glad some of you are mentioning Graviton. He was always someone I wanted but then again I'm also the guy who constantly rallies for Xemnu. But man Graviton was the shit in the Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon show.
