Redbox rental using my 75 cents off code is bout the most I'll spend to see this. Same goes for Eternals.

If Hasbro were to do an Imperial Guard box set, like the Alpha Flight set, which 6 guardsmen are essential to include?

- Oracle

- Mentor

- Fang (with alternate Wolverine hands and claws).

- Smasher

- Warstar

- Titan

Personally I'd rather see a Starjammers box set and then have the more recognizable Imperial Guardsmen scattered throughout regular X-waves, although Warstar would likely be a BAF.

I think they'd have to have a Gladiator re-release.
Then, Oracle, Starbolt, Manta, Warstar and Mentor. Though since I have Gladiator I'd rather switch him out for Hussar, personally.

Harbinger 12-09-2020 07:22 AM

I’d like to see Smasher in a set.

Benn Roe 12-09-2020 08:25 AM

Fang
Manta
Nightside
Oracle
Starbolt
Warstar

That's even worse though because that means it's nothing more than cheap fanservice like CW did with Crisis on Infinite Earths, which had no substance whatsoever.

Just leave the Spider-Verse stories for the animated stuff. This movie is quickly becoming X-Men The Last Stand all over again. Or Batman vs Superman. Or... Well... you get the point.

WallySparks 12-09-2020 11:44 AM

I was out of town two days ago. Yesterday I went to a Target store. No Rogue or Gambit but the Target store did have about 3 or 4 of the Storm in white outfit along with some odd Spider-Man figure in a black and white outfit

Trivial Psychic 12-09-2020 11:58 AM

With all this talk of the possibility of a live action Spider-Verse film, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Kirsten Dunst was also reported to be returning to her role as MJ, and now there are rumors of Charlie Cox having signed on to the film as well.

Seeing so many names on the cast has me thinking we're definitely only going to be seeing these characters for a brief moment...similar to what we saw at the end of Star Wars Episode 9, when many actors and actresses throughout the trilogy and animated series were brought in to reprise their respective roles in voiceover fashion.

My 6 picks for my essential IG members would be:
Starbolt
Smasher
Nuetron
Fang-alternate Wolvy head
Earthquake
Electron

Bo Ttef 12-09-2020 02:42 PM

Only 6 Imperial Guard??? uh... I'll go with:
Smasher
Fang
Hussar
Manta
Neutron
Warstar

But then throw Impulse and Oracle into a cosmic wave

Dr Kain 12-09-2020 04:07 PM

And with a pack with Fang in it Hasbro can easily include a Wolverine head and hands.

You know, I'm not sos ure about Impulse, but Oracle is recognizable enough (in comparison to most guardsmen) that should might could pull off a single card release.

I went Impulse for a single just because he had a pretty cool "toy" look with that head. I was back and forth between him and Electron- which could have potential for generic Shi'ar soldier repaints.

Veronica Mars 12-09-2020 10:17 PM

They're bringing back Garfield and McGuire, but what about Bryce Dallas Howard?

Dr Kain 12-09-2020 10:21 PM

Seeing people's reviews for the Silt-Man wave actually doesn't make the wave look that bad. Some of the figures are growing on me. Miles and Pete could totally work as background characters with their unmasked heads. Gwen actually looks like an improvement over the original Spider-Gwen figure.

The only one I would have absolutely no use for the is Prowler figure.

Robb 12-10-2020 09:50 AM

A local Wal-Mart had Mr. Fixit figs for $11 .

ariellagunas 12-10-2020 10:28 AM

Favourite Imperial Guard? I'll play.
oracle is an obvious one.
So's Fang.
Warstar as a BAF.
Hussar is awesome looking.
Manta has been featured a lot.
And I like the colours of Astra (even if I a a great custom one).

ariellagunas 12-10-2020 10:42 AM

I like the idea of the 5poa retro line.
I have about a million (might be exaggerating ) of this retro figures, ever since the Alien ones. I do keep them in cards (bout the only thing I do); and I like the idea to have them all in comics long boxes, nest to maybe an old spinning rack to put comics in.
But I do need the gals too. I just wonder how successful and deep this line can go, but I don't think it will last.
Also: loving that Firestar. I got three, even if I'm not a huge fan. And that damn dog looks just like my bichon maltese, so my sisters are getting one too.
Bout the next team box set....
We all want Excalibur, but all those figures would sell individually, so maybe the Starjammers for next years SDCC?
Or the rest of the Inhumans. Thou I think Lockjaw and Crystal are already on the plans.
How about Power Pack! Too niche? Not popular enough? But body molds can be re-use for Valeria, Franklin and the future Fundation.

Veronica Mars 12-10-2020 04:01 PM

Would they do Alex and Julie as adults/older teens? How about a Slingers box set?

I know you didn't mention them, but they seem intent to finish out the New Warriors and classic Thunderbolts in single cards by giving us one a year, so really, I think the only packs I'd want to see are the classic Excalibur line up, Mystique's BOEM, Australian Outback X-Men and I know I'm the probably only one asking for it, but the Acolytes.

Benn Roe 12-10-2020 06:02 PM

You're definitely not the only one asking for it. I would be all over some Acolytes. Senyaka is in my top 10 most wanted figures, Colossus looked great as an Acolyte, and it would be a great opportunity to get more villainous ladies for the X-Men to contend with. I'd love Amelia Voght, for instance.

Nimrod 12-10-2020 06:21 PM

My top 3 team boxsets are of course based on their classic comic version:
Imperial Guard- 6 core members
StarJammers- 4 members
Excaliber- 5 members

Bad guy box sets based on classic comic version:
Wrecking crew- utilizing new Herc buck upper torso & 80th anniv Thor lower. Wrecker would need new sculpting for upper body due to his jacket
classic Marauders: classic 1st app Sabretooth is a must in this wave!
Masters of Evil 3rd incarnation: Baron Zemo, Fixer, Mr Hyde, Moonstone, Blackout & BAF of Goliath- no smaller than 12' scale!

Ultra Seven 12-10-2020 06:46 PM

So... uh... who’s excited for a deluge of MCU figures? From the trailers tonight, I’m really really hoping for a “What If?” Peggy Carter.
