BUT back to topic, anyone hear a date or preorder listing for the Avengers Amazon 4 pack yet or the ANT MAN wave of Legends??

Captain Nash 04-10-2015 07:21 PM

I check Amazon daily in hopes the Ant-Man wave is showing up. Not so much the four pack. As soon as I see the ant Man wave, I will post the link right after I get my preorder in.

Zend 04-10-2015 08:47 PM

Now that we've seen Yellow Jacket from the movie, I'm super disappointed we're not getting a movie figure of him.

Dr Kain 04-10-2015 10:06 PM

Got Iron Fist today and one of my friends let me borrow his Miss Marvel and also gave me the Thor pieces.

I'm seriously still super bummed about Richard Rider being a skeleton floating in another dimension and almost nobody in the stories seems to give a crap. I can only wait until he is revived, along with Wolverine.

I could not agree more regarding Nova and the GotG crew. Richard Rider is one of my favorite characters. I have grown to enjoy Sam Alexander but I would take Rich back in a heartbeat.

No continuity.
No decades of sloppily edited stories and convoluted events.
Just great artists and writers making great stories without restrictions - basically what DC has been doing with Earth One, and what Marvel's Ultimate universe started out as, but without the need to continue each story until they wear out their welcome.

But that's just me.

Considering it seems like neither company can get their writers to stick with continuity that might be a decent plan. I always laugh how much Marvel applauds Bendis and yet he is one of those writers who just up and changes something to suit his whim.

I am currently committed to a couple months out on Previews orders but if things do not get better from both companies...so much for comics...again.

VonPooten 04-11-2015 05:29 AM

I may be the only one who thinks this, but I've really loved Bendis' run on Uncanny X-Men. He's brought the title back to its core, being socially relevant, and the new characters he's introduced are FAR beyond those Jason Aaron made up in WaTXM (Shark Girl? Eye Boy? Ridiculous) or Generation Hope (flying, super speed, and fire/ice powers, very original).

Unlike the others, Bendis takes time in exploring his cast's powersets, which I really appreciate. I'd LOVE to see figures of Tempus, Triage, Goldballs, Hijack and The Stepford Cuckoos, who have needed figure representation for years.

Also, I've never been a fan at all of the disco diva Dazzler. Ultimate Dazzler continues to be one of Bendis' greatest contributions to comics, so I'm glad to see her adopting a more rockabilly design. She'd make a great figure too.

Really hoping that Walgreen's Daredevil wave has a Netflix fig in it!

Daredevil wave?

Anyway, Iron Fist is cool because I like the amount of hands he comes with. On the other hand, I don't like how his hip articulation works.

Odin is awesome, however I think mine has two left feet. The legs are different, but the feet appear to be identical. Not sure what I can do about that though.

Oh yeah, and yesterday while I was at a different Walmart I saw this:

Got this guy in the post today from Amazon. Even though I wish the leg joints were different and the green on the torso doesn't quite match that of the head and arms, I think it's a great figure. Of all the Ruffalo Hulk figures we've had so far from Hasbro, this one has the best head-sculpt, in my opinion at least. Here he is with his predecessor from the 2008 movie.

Dr Kain 04-11-2015 09:46 AM

So what are some figures you guys want to see in Legends form? I would love to see:

Sleep Walker
Morbius (the costume he had in the Midnight Sons series)
Cloak
Dagger
Living Tribunal
Silver Surfer
Classic Green Goblin
Mysterio
Classic Electro
Spider-Man Noir

ChuckSass 04-11-2015 12:15 PM

Aside from Moonstar or Jessica Jones I'd want Sersi.

I just read the eternals, and if I can't get the whole lot of them I want a Sersi/Crystal swap, they can be their more iconic suits or the 90s looks with the leather avengers jackets, I don't care.

I agree with a lot on this list, with the exception of Sleep Walker, (very D list character, he had a comic for like what...ten issues?) and Classic Green Goblin. Toybiz hit Classic Goblin like a late 90's Barry Bonds home run...outta the park and into the bay. It was that good.

Cloak and Dagger are highly desired for me, as well as classic Electro. I'd like to see a classic Eddie Brock Venom from Hasbro though, as well as them finally getting around to Blade (on a new buck hopefully) and a few more female figures, namely Mary Jane, Gwen Stacy, and Typhoid Mary.

My main list is easy. DnA run Guardians of the Galaxy line-up. After that I would not mind:

Cloak and Dagger
Runaways as a box set
Original Guardians/Guardians 3000 (preferably the 3000 look)
Lockjaw
Army builder boxes for Skrulls, Kree and Nova Corps
Darkhawk & Talon

Starlord67 04-11-2015 01:31 PM

Top 3
1.Polaris

2.Enchantress

3.Attuma

Original Guardians (3000)
Inhumans (Crystal, Gorgon, Triton, Karnak and Lockjaw)
X-men (First appearance Storm, Sunfire, Thunderbird & Cyclops)
Songbird
Cloak & Dagger
Darkhawk
Firestar
Firelord
Luke Cage (modern)
Ikarus
Sersi

Panther 04-11-2015 06:03 PM

Abomination (The Incredible Hulk movie)
Whiplash (Iron Man 2)
The Destroyer (Thor)
Iron Man Mark 7 (Avengers)
Chitauri (Avengers)
Malekith (Thor: The Dark World)
Kurse (Thor: The Dark World)
Ronan (Guardians of the Galaxy)
Scarlet Witch (Avengers: Age of Ultron)
Quicksilver (Avengers: Age of Ultron)
Vision (Avengers: Age of Ultron)

As you can tell I am a Marvel (Movie) Legends collector...LOL.

Captain Nash 04-11-2015 06:23 PM

I have a ton of ML I want to see but my top wants (not necessarily in order)

1. Polaris. Okay, yes, this is definitely my most wanted. Anyone familiar with my posts by now though likely knows this already.

2. Enchantress
3. Selene (Doubtful will happen EVER but can't stop a guy from wanting it done!)

Far and above those are my top 3. Beyond that not in any real order just most wanted

Justice
Firestar
Spectrum/Monica Rambeau)
Mockingbird
Sersi
Moonstar
Magik
Madrox
Marrow
Syrin
Exodus
Shadow King (FAF)
Attuma (BAF)
Morgan Le Fey
Songbird
Citizen V
Mach IV
Fixer
Graviton
Count Nefaria
Deathbird
Northstar
Aurora
Snowbird
Shamen
Cloak
Dagger

I guess you'd say that's my top 30.

Dr Kain 04-11-2015 10:50 PM

When it comes to making want lists, I'm about ready to give up. I know I'm at the point where I'l buy just about anyone haha.

But really, I want 90's X-Force and X-Factor members. Preferably in the 90's costumes. I don't know if it will happen, but it would be cool.

Dr Kain 04-12-2015 01:04 PM

I saw Thanos Spider-Woman today but she had a slash through her left eye and a huge glob of paint on her stomach, so I passed on her. I'll just have to hope I see her again and next time it will be a better one.

Wow! I am very impressed with both of these Hulk Figures. On the left of your screen we have the new BAF ML Avengers 6' Hulk and on the right is the older Walmart Exclusive Avengers Movie Masters 6' Hulk. The ML one is a little bit taller, is wearing the Avengers uniform pants and with two fists he is ready to SMASH. The MM one has a much more defined and muscular back, is wearing the classic torn pants and has his left hand open ready to CRUSH. I really love both of these figures!

Wow, there's a lot more re-molding there than I thought. Are the shins/feet the same?

Yes, good point. I forgot to mention that. The feet, shins, calves and knees appear to be very similar if not exactly the same.

Well in pics I initially thought it was just a new head, one hand, and the thighs. Clearly they made almost a new hulk.

I'd really like to know how they decide who gets new parts and who doesn't.

TomsToyChest 04-12-2015 07:05 PM

I picked up the Unmasked Captain America at the Disney store this past weekend. Nice paint apps, but the facial sculpt doesn't really look like Chris Evans that much. There is an alternate masked head sculpt in the package but no other accessories aside from a base. The base looks like it was lifted from the inside of a Heli-carrier.

http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1g2prrku.jpg

This was the last one in the store I visited. I checked their website and it was still available on there if anyone else is looking to get one.

When I get to opening it for a review I plan to do a side-by-side comparison with the Marvel Legends version.

Great comparison pictures!

As someone who isn't a huge fan but wants to round out the Avengers, is there a Marvel Legends/Select Hulk figure which is generally considered to be the best? I have a growing comic Avengers collection, but all of the Hulk figures don't seem to be particularly quintessential depictions of the character. Any thoughts?
