Though in all honesty, I'm really not expecting too much to be released upfront from this show. I feel like Marvel and Disney+ have been holding their cards so close to their chests with these shows. |
Think it'll really be August before we see She-Hulk ship?

^Nice!!
Crossing my fingers that we see that rumored Lady Deathstrike!!! |
Nice to have confirmation. Hoping we see some of the D+ wave finally.

Last year's toy fair they revealed quite a lot. The first Gamerverse Avengers wave, the Age of Apocalypse wave, most of the X-Men movie figures, some of the Strong Guy wave, Ultimate Riders Punisher, classic War Machine, AOA Apocalypse, modern Rogue, Nimrod, classic Storm, the Old Man Logan two-pack, and a few exclusives like Red Hulk and Iron Man 2020.
I'm not expecting nearly as much product this time, but hopefully we still get a good amount. |
This is what I think we'll see for the Fan First Friday reveals:
- The remaining Bring On The Bad Guys figures and the wave will be up for pre-order - Shang Chi wave reveals - Two or three figures revealed of the Iron Man wave - Two or three figures revealed of Disney+ Wave One - Two or three figures revealed for the Retro Fantastic Four wave - Two or three Classic X wave reveals - Two or three Spider-Man Wave Two or Fan Channel Retro Spider-Man figure reveals - One or two Fan Channel and/or Deluxe figures revealed - Maybe Eternals stuff, depending on whether its release date stays put They can do a handful of figures for each wave to not take up too much table space and not reveal too much, but still give fans a sense of what's coming for this year. And since we saw three figures of the September 2020 Retro Spider-Man figures last February, I'm sure we'll see some kind of Spider-Man figures revealed. I'm curious if an Avengers wave will even be released this year, given the movie waves, Disney+ waves and Bring On The Bad Guys waves planned. I'm also curious if Classic X is indeed a second "Age of Apocalypse" wave, a classic X-Men comic wave, or a mixture of both. If the Wave Two Spider-Man figures turns out to be mostly be a 'Spider-Man 3' movie wave, to be honest, I'll be disappointed to see that actually happen. After all, Wave One was mostly an 'Into The Spider-Verse' movie wave and if 'Spider-Man 3' figures are in Wave Two, it'd be a shame to see a lack of Spider-man comic characters represented in 2021 after last year's truly spectacular figures from the Retro Spider-Man wave. I guess we'll know for sure on Friday, depending on what Dwight, Ryan, Dan and the crew reveal. What do you guys think? |

If this Friday has a large slew of reveals like a con would have been:
finish up the BOTBG wave and preorder. I think this has to be the most likely reveal at this point. Reveal part or maybe all of the D+ wave, depending on how spoilery it is. If all is revealed, maybe even up for preorder I think one or two figures of the Shang-Chi wave is possible, but given we haven't seen a trailer yet, I"m not sure. If there's non movie figures in the wave, sure Maybe a figure of the next X-Men wave. But i'm doubtful on this yet quite honestly. I'd think a figure or two of the F4 wave is possible. Unless they reveal the whole thing and release in "summer" - which means like two weeeks at this point these things have been shipping. If that's the case maybe this up for preorder as well. |
In case a Hasbro worker happens to be lurking roaming these boards especially the Marvel Legends board...
how about a Marvel Legends Lou Ferrigno Incredible Hulk figure? just an idea and something neat which isnt another weird Spider-Man figure or some weird crap |

After seeing the posts asking for Marvel Legends figures of Bill Bixby as Dr. David Banner and Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk (which I would buy immediately), the ComicsintheGoldenAge Twitter account mentioned wanting to see figures of the Marvel heroes from the '70s/'80s and Ryan Ting replied with "Disney+ would like a word..."
Since Friday is now just two days away, I look forward to seeing what the Fan First Friday video reveals in terms of pre-orders and upcoming figures. |
I hope they show a lot. I got a friend who collects Power Rangers and he was let down by the amount of reveals they showed last week. Then again, that line isn't yet as big as legends, and it has other gimmick stuff to it. Considering this is around the time of Toy Fair, normally, I hope to get confirmation on at least 2 waves with some other teases thrown in.

One thing to keep in mind is that other brands are showing figures for multiple lines. Star Wars and GI Joe reveals are split between 3.75" and 6" figure lines. And Transformers are split between Studio Series and War For Cybertron. As for Power Rangers, part of their presentation was used to promote the new season of Power Rangers Dino Fury, Super7 MMPR ReAction figures, and kid oriented zord releases for Dino Fury. The Marvel panel will be more streamlined. They're not responsible for promoting upcoming Marvel films and tv shows. And while there may be some reveals for other Marvel toys, the meat and potatoes of the presentation will be Marvel Legends. |
