It probably is but I'm pretty sure we haven't actually gotten confirmation on it. If that is just the colors War Machine uses for one scene, like some military demonstration or something, then I would be okay with it.

It is one of those things I just won't be happy with.

I don't think they have the rights to use Norman. I think it's just the Gov/army pimping War Machine out since Rhodey got it.

Agree. It was in no way necessary for them to go this route. War Machine is bad ass in its grey and silver.

Even if they did it wouldn't make sense with no setup. I think it's just hard to take War Machine seriously if he went into battle like that. If it was at an air show or something, then whatever.

This leads to the obvious question, why would the military still have the War Machine armor? Tony has been hardcore about not selling them his tech. The armor was stolen and then they modified it. You would think Stark would take back ownership after he sobered up in IM2. At the very least he would have slapped them with all kinds of lawsuits for stealing his tech and stopped it's usage.

I would look at it like Tony knows Rhodes (poor Terrance Howard) is the only person who can and or will use the armor. I know it's a little bit of a stretch to expect the military not to mass produce the armor but that's the only way I can see it and get some sleep about it. They have done a good job keeping continuity between each Marvel movie and the comics they depict. I trust they will create a plausible reason. I haven't seen the trailer yet. I'll catch it on tv soon enough.

I am hoping it is one of those things when he shows up in that get up and Tony is like "...No...I liked the last one...and that is saying something seeing it as Hammer design!"

probly an air show type deal where they try to sell the idea of needing more and with alien/loki invasion still fresh leads to a public hatred of stark/ironman
