I saw 4 of these at my local Ross store today:

I didn't see any of the Batman 2packs though.

I'm glad I live in the UK. With stores like this, I'd be bankrupt in the US by now. :)

It's very easy to burn through money fast when you find great deals at discount stores.

The fact that this stuff is now showing up there regularly worries me. It's nice in the short term to have the good prices but in the long term it's not a good sign. I mean, what does it mean for MU that so many sentinels didn't sell that they ended up fire selling the stock? Probably means the chances of a wide release of FFF is less likely. If we get him now it may only ever be as con exclusive or online exclusive. Yes, they should have released the classic colors in mass first but I doubt Hasbro execs look at that. I mean, the Helicarrier is going the same way. A few years ago this just didn't happen and I think it's more a sign of the times that these toys aren't selling as well as they hope.

I bought two and I don't know why.

my local tru has them now at $129.99 and the tmnt sewer also started at $99.99 and is now at $139.99... wondering if this is against the law or not. price gauging by a company is very odd...

Odd? Not really. If there is high demand and low stock most retailers will increase the price. Even in electronics you see quick selling items set aside and put into bundles forcing people to buy the add-ons. It's a free market so it's not illegal. Price gouging is only illegal in some states and usually on things like food and gas after natural disasters.

At least you guys have MP Prime in stock down there. I was lucky enough to get some when a brand new TRU opened, and got them matched to the sale at $70/each, but after the first shipments TRU Canada said they aren't getting any more in.

it's probably cause they sent all their mp prime shipments here so they can keep increasing the price! :D tru is actually the only store i've seen this happen in. but maybe it's also because i like to shop at walmart, target and k-mart for my figs...

Iceman 12-11-2012 10:36 PM

Usually stores don't pay enough attention to toys to jack the prices up. It helps that it's exclusive so they can change the MSRP if they like.

Just hang in there a little longer

trebleshot 01-07-2013 06:38 AM

Saw FOC Sideswipe, Ultra Magnus and Air Raid yesterday and had to pass. Since they're remolds, I will hopefully be able to pick them up later on.

But I was able to score FOC Starscream ;)

DarthGzus33 01-07-2013 06:28 PM

I saw an Avengers Deluxe Chitauri Chariot on clearance at Target today for $6.48. I picked it up and then put it back. I have the basic Chitauri and he sucks. Even at the low price I couldn't justify a fig that I will get at a yard sale for 50 cents one day... :)

Th0r4z1n3 01-07-2013 06:46 PM

Passed up on MU Sentinals clearanced out at $17 each at TJ Maxx yesterday...still thinking about going back for them, they'd make good trading fodder at that price.

I did the same exact thing. Don't quote me, but they might even be cheaper at Walmart (they're clearancing Avengers too). I had a couple in my hand, but after starring at them for a few minutes I came to the conclusion that they'd need to be about a nickel for me to want them.

Phantomcrow 01-10-2013 02:11 AM

These look as BAD as i feared. Looks like I won't need Prime figures for a while.

Panthro1978 01-16-2013 05:14 AM

The Panthro Mega Action Figure. £34.99 was a bit pricey for one thing.

cobracobra 01-16-2013 06:23 AM

Yes 2013 Transformers look like hurricane relief toys more than high end high $$ toys.

Oh WoW-wa-Bunga! That's a lot of Turtle merchandise. :eeek

Phantomcrow 01-18-2013 12:05 AM

WOW, what store had that setup???? I have never seen that many Classics in one place EVER!

atomicsmurf 01-18-2013 06:20 AM

Wow! That reminds me of what TRU used to be like in the 80's when I was a kid. Massive stocks of Silverhawks, Turtles, MOTU, GI Joes. It was kid heaven back then.

bmorr 01-18-2013 06:52 AM

so thats where all the turtles merchandise went lol. The stores here are bare of any product. wiped out over xmas.

trebleshot 01-18-2013 08:49 AM

Passed on the TMNT ooze-flingers. Never was a big fan of the themed Turtle sets. Also left behind FOC Sideswipe and Ultra Magnus, but only because I didn't have the funds at the time to get both of them along with the FOC Kickback that went home with me.

Other than that, kinda dead in this neck of the woods, retail-wise.

That's a rather large blanket you're throwing out there. Care to elaborate? Only reason I ask is that I think a lot of the FOC stuff is great, MP Soundwave and his minion 2-packs are looking amazing and Encore Fort Max is going to be epic. And while I get that Beast Hunters isn't for everyone, I think some of them have really interesting designs. Especially BH Predaking, Ripclaw, Wheeljack, Soundwave and Optimus. Even BH Bumblebee has a place on my Psycho Bee shelf.

Haven't paid full price for one of those so far, yet I own every Cyberverse vehicle/mech suit they've put out. So Skyclaw, you'll have to wait.

Bought some of the new joes, but had to pass on the Colton. Did not want to, but the beard paint app was un-purchasable. It was so uneven he looked like he shaved half of his face.
