I'd like to see how that turns out, actually. I've been meaning to grab Aqualad and Artemis since, aside from their head sculpts, they fit in pretty well with the Classics aesthetic.

I can do that swap tonight when I get home to see how it would look for you guys :) Oh and you can currently snag a 6" YJ Aqualad for $5 on TRU's website. I've also heard that they did the same in the stores.

DC Universe Young Justice Action Figure - Aqualad - Mattel - Toys "R" Us

I also have the DCIE Ice figure, and if you think that Superboy has an ugly face sculpt wait until you see her.

Pics?

I'm thinking of just buying her and Aquaman so I can be done with the line now. Unless I get Damian.

1987olds442 01-05-2014 11:52 AM

Will do... I'll take some tonight when I get home.

Had my 2 YJ Heads altered to match the DCUC line better.

That Superboy looks nice. How much was he?

1987olds442 01-06-2014 05:28 PM

He was $18 shipped :)

kenm2474 01-06-2014 06:46 PM

Its really Amazing that some of the most sought after characters in the DC Universe are never made and they wonder why sales are down. (Red Hood,Superboy)

CMIII 01-06-2014 07:16 PM

it's the double edged sword... You need to entice the buyers what Mattel didn't get was when you Halfassed something you drive people away. But had they put out the big names in 2012 - 2013 the line never would have gotten numbers. It's been said here "You need to get the Stores to buy the next line" for Mattel they also need to get the customers and the Total Heroes line does not have the customer support that the 4H line did it's why by SDCC I expect the announcement that Total Heroes is cancelled.

The sad part is Mattel is ignorant of the DC fan base they understand $$$$$ and not the customers.

For those who are Wondering Batzarro is the Biggest Failure of the entire series in 4 days the figure will have been up for purchase 1 month and still hasn't sold out so I am guessing Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin chose him

......I don't think Total Heroes has even been released in brick-and-mortar stores yet.

What the FUCK!!!!!??

That looks nothing like the one they showed at SDCC.

CMIII 01-07-2014 07:22 PM

Dr. Kain I was going to say it was a Knock off... The lines are not right and the face is wrong..

No the line isn't in the stores yet and it already doesn't have the support it will need to stay in the stores...

If it's not in stores yet, then we have no way of knowing if it has the support or not from the general retail audience. I'm not saying I want to see it succeed, or fail, but seriously? Calling a time of death before the line has even been delivered to stores is asinine.

kenm2474 01-08-2014 02:39 PM

This is a good looking Superboy. I may get it if my Custom Superboy I ordered dose not arrive. http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...1&d=1389024557[/QUOTE]

CMIII 01-09-2014 06:43 AM

Boy Blunder your not getting what I am saying. Go back to 2011 DCUC is cancelled at wave 20.. Mattel show DC Universe All Stars Waves 1 & 2 Superman, Batman (both new 52), Red Robin, and Superboy Prim, wave 1, and Larfleeze, Supergirl (Black costume), Plasticman (Flashpoint), and I forget the 4th (probably some varient of a character we've had 20 times already. They are announced at SDCC in 2011, shown physically at NYCC 2011. The customers didn't go crazy we still wanted C&C figures. So at NYTF only wave 1 was shown and wave 2 as well as the series cancelled

Dr Kain 01-09-2014 07:10 AM

It was Steel, someone who NEEDED a rerelease!!!!! -_-

Yes, but you also don't seem to understand that Total Heroes is not exclusively collector-oriented, judging by the aesthetic direction and intended play style. DCUC, the All-Star waves, Club Infinite Earth, all of that is targeted more at collectors, whereas the Total Heroes line appears to be aimed more for a general audience, be they adults, kids, etc. This is also why certain recognizable characters get overexposed in other lines, to get the all-mighty dollar from people who aren't going to give two hoots about the Metal Men or Parademons.

Kids and parents don't always keep up on things like Toy Fair/Comic-Con reveals, and certainly can't attend all of them, so until the figures hit stores and their intended demographic votes with their wallet, we simply do not know what support Total Heroes may or may not have. You can use fan reaction to the All-Star line as a barometer for its support before it hit shelves, but you can't do the same thing with a line that intends to hit a large audience that don't attend industry shows/follow industry news like collectors do.

There was know way of knowing that. He went silent on me and never called texted or showed up on any message boards. It was supposed to be a 2 week or so build.
