This is exactly what came to mind for me when I saw Mr. Hyde. He’s another “so close” version of a character we are unlikely to get another shot at it, thus making him super frustrating. Although, the modern Wendigo head reminds me more of Iggy Pop. I think it’s the hair.

To Blue Marvel’s very astute point, I was immediately convinced this was real because it’s so odd. The assortment is so out-of-left-field that you couldn’t make it up, and the hat really is classic Hasbro.

It's a lot of stuff. tierney was correct that it is the Aurora head. The torso, heels, and leg cuffs are from Emma. Typhoid Mary choker. Black Panther cape with the collar cut off. Upper arms are Dazzler with the glove cuffs from Storm. Lower arms, lower legs and hands are just plain black and I don't remember where from. The thighs are White Rabbit with the boot tops from Sif. The leg cuff is a piece of Rage's belt.

I cut the lower legs and spliced them together. The sleeves aren't puffy like they should be, but I like to make customs without paint if I can.

HAH! Yeah, a Pantera motif suits that Wendigo well. It definitely has a Metal enthusiast vibe to it. But I can't place all the blame on Hasbro, not even most of it. These contemporary takes and presentations of iconic Marvel characters are/were the brainchildren of the current stable of creative talent at the publisher. Just as with Mr. Hyde's trendy bowler accoutrement, I can only be mildly annoyed with Hasbro for opting for current artistic interpretations over something I subjectively consider to be more iconic.

For yung' comic heads, stringy-hair Wendigo and bowler-hat Mr. Hyde - with his nod to the 1900's Briton working classes - are a thing. I guess...

I'm hoping for these and a 90's TAS Chameleon - as well as the Armored Spider-Man who appeared in the Spider-Carnage saga of the show!

Got some email from Pulse telling me something will be on sale on Thursday, so I should re-up my Premium account. I'm all like, "BITCH, first, you need to tell me what it is I can buy and what time since I could possibly be working when it goes on sale, making it moot to begin with!" :D

Honestly, with how much I order from Pulse, I find that paying for the premium account just makes sense. It’s like 50 bucks for the year. If I order four or five things, that’s free shipping right there. It pays for itself. I don’t even mind if stuff ships a little later. I don’t need to be the first person to have a toy in hand. I’m not some YouTuber making reviews.

That's how I felt this time last year, but then every non-exclusives order except one made in the last 10 months I ended up canceling because I either found the figures in store or Amazon got them instock first, which meant my spending $50 just wasn't worth it anymore since I doubt my orders are just going to instantly arrive before I see them again. Hell, I preordered Zartan the day he went up on Pulse and found him at Gamestop a month ago. People are still waiting for their Zartan to ship. I'm still waiting for the Cobra Trooper to ship.

Pulse needs to tell people what they get for $50. The free shipping isn't enough. If I order 2 figures from Amazon or Gamestop, I get free shipping and get it several months earlier. I ordered Zartan on day one at Pulse and I am still waiting. I cancelled about 75% of the pre-orders I made on Pulse because I found the items in stores and sometimes cheaper than Pulse. As far as I can tell, the survey that Hasbro sent out changed nothing.

I'm pretty sure that they are going to ignore all questions about it this Friday. I am positive they won't even mention the mess of Target exclusives and G.I. Joe Cobra Island.

Yeah, my go-to site is BigBadToyStore, 4 dollar shipping on ANYTHING I want, and they get shit earlier than HasbroPulse. I got my Cobra Troopers and Zartan like 2 months ago, and I can have 12 orders a year and still come out paying less in shipping than Hasbro's premium membership costs

No pulse renewal for me. I only renewed last year for the Hellfire Club. And there's nothing as amazing as that they can tempt me with this time around.

I've ordered very little from Pulse, only as a backup order for a handful of figures, outside of exclusives of course. In every case of general release, the Pulse figures were always the ones to arrive last.
