Thrilled to see Ironheart revealed, she looks amazing too. Ditto for Thor.

Also if they can put that level of articulation into Ironheart then there is no excuse not to get a far more articulated Spider-woman soon, given how mediocre their articulation is compared to your average Spider-man.

Yes. Mr Hyde is Shang Chi wave.

Confirmed we're getting a second Age of Apocalypse wave with Sabretooth.

usernamedustin 04-09-2021 11:11 AM

Of course they will retool the Sentinel into Galactus.

Ultra Seven 04-09-2021 11:12 AM

Goddamn it, second AOA wave. That’s majorly disappointing.

I was irked when they announced the first one, felt vindicated when other people seemed similarly lukewarm, and now I’m even more perturbed at a second one.

Veronica Mars 04-09-2021 11:13 AM

Still no character with a tail or an Excalibur, at least when Matty teased something they revealed it the next show

You're both right, I jumped the gun. When Toonstruck said 'Hologram' Ironman, I assumed 'Hologram Head' Iron Man.

I'm happy for the Iron Man wave, it's a 'must have' lineup and I'm all in...per usual.

usernamedustin 04-09-2021 11:14 AM

I miss toyfair. They just revealed almost the entire year there. This trickling out info and very awkward scripted marketing stuff is pretty annoying.

Hopefully the hologram Tony head will match the hologram armor, it would not be beyond Hasbro to use two different translucent blues

I vastly prefer being inundated with all the info at once. I invariably leave these panels either underwhelmed or disappointed.

Captain Nash 04-09-2021 11:21 AM

Decent but fairly expected reveals. I was surprised the F4 wave (which will be retro I'm sure) was only teased.

2019 me would have totally gone for the entire Iron Man wave for Ursa Major, but 2021 me is more space and money conscious so it's just Darkstar and Ultron for me.

Quasar is looking really great and I can't wait for him.

I don't dip into the MCU figures as much anymore but glad Final battle Thor is coming out for those that want him. He was definitely a crucial missing figure in MCU displays.

Biggest news for me of course is confirmation of a second AOA wave in the second half of the year. Of course Sabretooth being one of the key missing figures makes sense for that reveal. I assume Rogue, Gambit and Cyclops will be in the wave as well unless they're in packs. Hoping for Storm, Gambit (, Abyss and Nemesis for the other 3 and BAF. though Nightcrawler, Iceman or Bishop would be okay instead of Gambit.

Really surprised they didn't show off the Shang-Chi stuff, but I guess they're holding back on the MCU "to come" stuff even though it's already been leaked. Same for Eternals wave/packs.

Sad there was no further Excalibur hints.....but otherwise a decent if nonsurprising panel.

Edit; Oh yes! Extremely surprised no D+ reveal. I figured that would be a given. Because spoilers...reasons...(even with the leak)...but whatever, I'm only in for one figure. Sorry for you all who are invested in the MCU side of things, hoping you get to order this soon.

Ultra Seven 04-09-2021 11:29 AM

Did anybody else just expect... more? Like maybe it was because they’d spent a month or so hyping this panel up, but I just figured we’d see more new figures. I suppose it’s the fault of leaks that this feels so insubstantial, since they did show off a fair of amount of stuff, but considering that we knew that all of it was coming except Ursa & Sabertooth (who, even still, was a safe bet), it just seems like less than it was.

Yes, I agree, though I don't know how much to attribute that to leaks. When we already know 75%ish of what's coming it's hard to be blown away by the reveals. And we invariably expect to see more, so when we don't, we have set ourselves up for disappointment, or at very least, being underwhelmed.

That’s a much more eloquent version of what I was more or less trying to say. I completely agree that we’re setting ourselves up to be disappointed frequently by speculating. I was mostly hoping for a payoff to that Excalibur tease...

Archangel 04-09-2021 12:13 PM

Haslab Galactus with alternate Celestial heads?

StuartGreen2019 04-09-2021 12:27 PM

Today's Fan Fest was just... meh. Not just Marvel Legends, but all the Hasbro stuff today was underwhelming. I seriously miss the good old days of Toy Fair when we got all of the products revealed at the same time. We knew which toys were coming out, when they were coming out, and usually how much they'd cost. These Hasbro live streams usually leave me underwhelmed because it's usually two waves revealed, some talk, some role play items revealed, a store exclusive or two revealed, and a figure we didn't know about shown at the end. That was pretty much the same format today, but I was really expecting more content out of this.

I was also very surprised and very disappointed the Disney+ wave wasn't even acknowledged. Do we even know when those figures will go up for pre-order? Those are supposed to come out later this month or May, right? I don't remember Hasbro ever having a wave like this where they couldn't reveal all the figures at once because the series' characters, costumes and/or content hadn't aired yet so close to its expected release date.

I'm also disappointed, but not surprised, the Classic X wave will be a second Age of Apocalypse wave. I assume Rogue, Magneto, Cyclops and Bishop might be included, given their popularity and/or importance to the storyline? I was also expecting to see at least one or two Retro Spider-Man figures or acknowledgements to the leaked listings. I know that Hasbro doesn't talk about leaks or rumors, but it'd be nice to know when the Black Costume Spider-Man and Hobgoblin figures will be released. I'm also curious if the rumored Sandman, Lizard, Kraven, Rhino and Shocker figures are fact or fiction. I'm still hoping for a Doc Ock with bendable wire tentacles, especially now that Cannonball has been re-released with a new head and actually has legs.

Also, as a parting thought, do you guys think we'll see more stuff in May or June in regards to more upcoming Marvel Legends reveals? I think Dan Yun tweeted something about May having some Marvel Legends stuff, but I would've much preferred to have seen that for today's video.

What do you guys think?

ThorOdinson123 04-09-2021 12:37 PM

I agree it was kind of lackluster no Disney + figure wave and no showing the other infinity wave characters. But Hey I got my fat thor and I can't wait.

Archangel 04-09-2021 01:46 PM

This event definitely wasn’t earth shattering, but the Legends fans at least got the best of it. That robot Optimus is pretty damn cool though.

Almost forgot to place my preorder for Ultron and Darkstar through Dorkside! They just went live a couple of minutes ago there. Good luck! Get grabby!

Mimicboy 04-09-2021 02:35 PM

I too am a little disappointed about using another X-men wave for AoA wave 2. There are just very few I would actually be interested in. I kinda wish we could just get some peppered in throughout the X-waves. If they do it similar to the last wave (7 figures, 1 BAF, 1 deluxe figure) I kinda hope we can get a deluxe Iceman. His AoA look is close enough to his mainstream iced up look for me and I'd love an Iceman that came with effects, ice slides, and/or even ice armour!

My guesses for the wave:
1. Magneto
2. Cyclops
3. Rouge
4. Sabertooth (confirmed)
5. Mr. Sinister
6. Gambit
7. Banshee (I don't know if they would really dare do this version before a classic but I have always enjoyed this look for him. If he came out well I would buy one. Other more likely guesses to fill this slot might be Storm, Quicksilver, or Nightcrawler)

The BAF I feel has a good chance of being Holocaust (or Nemesis?) though Abyss or even an extra big AoA Colossus could be fun too.

I am curious about Dan's post implying they did not say Domino and Cannonball was a two pack. Does this mean multi pack? Retro wave? I would love a Syrin and Rictor soooo much!

All in all todays presentation left me more excited for what they didn't show than what they did. I am excited to see what else we get in the Infinity Saga line and I am totally ready to pre-order from the Disney + wave!

Dr Kain 04-09-2021 03:10 PM

Well, at least there was one Marvel figure revealed I actually care about, Sabertooth. That's more than GI Joe and Power Rangers got. This entire thing was a joke.

Don't care about the Iron Man wave at all except Ultron and even that is questionable. Cool that they hinted at Galactus for Haslab (per what others are saying), but that's about it.
