Fantastic Four definitely had some awesome Celestials in the comics. Lots of cool figures HasLab can do for decades to come. In terms of trying to make them all, Premium Roleplay is an affordable alternative, to create as many of these great giants...

So people gonna spend $100+ for hands to display with your figs? Some of you must be rich!

Super Joe 04-17-2021 07:12 AM

^^^ a helmet at $99 (or hand for a total of $198) can be affordable. Compared to huge HasLab $500 figures, it's a bargain. I'm cool with just helmets. Yet those in the MCU, a special few can get a big hand like Arishem here,

FYI - that's Tenebrous ('of the darkness between') and Aegis ('lady of all sorrows') pictured. While they (especially Tenebrous) resemble Celestials in some respects (armor and size), they are actually Proemial Gods: some of the first beings/gods following 616's 'Big Bang' that Galactus trapped in the Kyln eons prior. They featured as a prominent sub-plot in Annihilation; Surfer killed them both at nearly a cost to his own life. Galactus arrived late to confront them after Norrin had located the duo. Galan marveled at the feat he had single handedly achieved, resuscitating his herald to full strength.

^^^ made the image swap (was supposed to use that image for another post at the 3.75 thread). Thanks!

Dunno if anyone's seen any spoiler-y interviews with the cast of No Way Home in the last 24 hours, but I think we're gonna get a veeeery exciting Spidey wave for the movie by year's end haha

Harbinger 04-17-2021 02:26 PM

I’d like to see a comic ronin redone. Make it like the old two pack one just using modern body etc and include both a clint barton and maya lopez unmasked heads.

Hopefully some wired tentacles are in the mix...

Attack of the Sentinels!

sh002 04-18-2021 09:11 AM

The WWE Ultimate Warrior was on sale earlier this morning at Target online for $9.99. The suit is grey but it makes for a good suited body.

Speaking of X-Men, Marvel is rebooting the new comics again with another #1. And people wonder why I don't read current comics. I can't even keep track of what to read, nor what order to read them in, with them rebooting it every few months.

I hear ya, I really don't like Marvel's approach to "new creative team means a "new" series". There were some events that sure, I could see it, Heroes Reborn/Return. That was the first time Avengers/F4 etc had ever been renumbered. And a few years later they worked up the legacy numbering which still exists to this day. The Avengers title returning after a 5-6 year absence due to New Avengers made sense as well. Jason Aaron's Mighty Thor w/ Jane Foster made sense as it wasn't the same "thor" at all, it was not just a new creative team but a whole new identity and direction.

Uncanny ending at 544 was such a random number, but it coincided with a new creative team, and a "new" book starting a month or two later....as if the creative team had never changed before? when the next volume comes out and we all know it will...it will be what? volume 6? At least there was a length of time between vols 4-5 and 5-and whenever the next one comes out.

New #1 issues may see a spike in sales, but that usually only lasts for the first arc, if not a whole lot shorter. Legacy numbering can be daunting for newer readers but keeps the whole thing in order a whole lot better. It's daunting to see a half dozen Avengers or X-Men volumes as well.

Edit: None-figure rant button off....what's next to release? my understanding is the Shang-Chi wave should be released within a week, maybe D+ soon..possibly the same week or next month...when's F&tWS's last episode? I know MCU stuff is not my bag for the most part, but it's time to get that wave out, and while the Shang-Chi wave is much earlier than I expected, if it's out it's out.

The kid in me now really wants the toys. Death Dealer looks so awesome.

The trailer made me go from “I can skip these figures” to “maybe I’ll check Target later.” From the trailer, Death-Dealer sorta reminds me of an MCU Boba Fett.

Speak of Target, an apparently exclusive figure of Katy (Awkwafina) turned up at one: https://marvelousnews.com/252-28499
Retail on her is apparently $27!

hasbroherofan 04-19-2021 10:32 AM

That was cool. Death Dealer in particular has a really awesome design.

Veronica Mars 04-19-2021 11:36 AM

Are fights in public transit vehicles the new CGI sky beam?

Maybe I'm getting movie fatigue, but to me that looks super underwhelming.

Oh, absolutely giving off those Boba vibes. I'm excited to see so many aspects of this movie now. Especially the function of the ten rings as they stand now.

Saw that Katy figure. Looks beautiful, though I'm not sure what that bird accessory is meant to be, nor do I like what I'm sure is the $24.99 MSRP before tax.

Starlord67 04-19-2021 12:45 PM

Well I will definitely see it..looks very interesting.....but I'll pass on the toys.

Those are third-party, you can check his post in the customs threads for the details.
