I'm more excited that it likely means Marvel really is heading towards a Thunderbolts movie.

We've got Abomination back in play, Taskmaster and Yelena upcoming, Zemo just made his comeback, Ross is in charge of The Raft/Superheroes in general, and Mac Gargan was already set up back in Homecoming.

Not to mention 'The Leader' is still 'canon' thanks to that comic tie-in, Justin Hammer was last seen when Trevor got nabbed by the real Ten Rings, and Fin Fang Foom might actually become a reality instead of being an in-universe Iron Man comic character.

The sheer amount of figure potential is great.

As for figures:

I wouldn't mind a better movie Yelena figure announcement. Maybe the black outfit she has in some of the scenes.

Also could use a Justin Hammer and Hammer Drone 2-pack. Endgame War Machine could probably be reworked into a drone fairly easily.

I think it's interesting that they took that character and made her a Loki

It kinda makes more sense than the comic 'Sif's intended reincarnation' Loki.

Particularly when you consider that the MCU has been overhauling some of the more questionable stuff from the comics.

It's funny how the only reason Hasbro night be doing a comic version Eternals wave is due to the vast amount of negative comments & vibes towards the extremely lame MCU based wave. They figure, "well at least 1 Eternals wave will make us back the $ blown on the MCU versions". Just looking forward to the Excalibur set reveal.

He also needs his classic blue trucks as well.

They should have just gone with the canon set first as a SDCC, fan channel, or even Amazon exclusive. It would have sold to Kirby fans regardless of the movie tie-ins which we all know are obligatory.

I found Death Dealer at my local GS a few days ago & decided to utilize my lone HAND Ninja for his new body as the buck Death Dealer is on, is extremely restrictive when it comes to putting him in various MA poses. Simple paint job on the head/hands & now I got a more comic looking Death dealer who left the Mandarin's side & joined the HAND.

I see what you mean, which would be significant for a female mold and notable given the lengths to which they seem to have gone to hide it. Provided that it is indeed an ab crunch...

Or, more likely, because they're not a well known property and this would be the first time in history there'd be anything approaching interest for Eternals figures of any sort, regardless of medium.

I am loving Sylvie! I am quite surprised they gave her the hooded shaw. I figured they wouldn't bother but I dig that they did. She has been a bright spot in the show to me. I don't want to get into spoilers, but @veronicamars and @shinzero02 I actually am enjoying the Sylvie mash-up/backstory. It feels very MCU to take two seemingly different ideas/characters and mash them together. It hasn't always work but this one is working for me so far.

I have too many hopes for only one more figure from Loki. I want the "Vote Loki" suited Loki from the trailer (my guess for the second figure in the D+ wave 2) but I also really want Hunter B-15 and C-22!

The tale's already been told. The Eternals have been around since the 70s and this is the first time anyone other than HeroClix (and a single Ikaris figurine from Eaglemoss) has deigned to make merchandise of them. If they're making toys of them now it's directly because of their vastly increased profile due to the movie, not some sort of apology to try to win back hardcore Eternals fans (if there are any out there).

The Eternals and 4th World were terrible concepts by Kirby. Thanos and his brother from another mother Darkseid are good characters the rest no one cares about.

There's so much loaded into the last few statements, but everyone is entitled to their opinions. There're Fourth World fans aplenty and Eternal fans as well - most of which are rolled up in a Kriby love blanket. Are these characters as well known as some others? Of course not, but neither are Alpha Flight, the Hellfire Club, the Soviet Super Soldiers, the Starjammers, the Imperial Guard or a host of of other characters for which niche enclaves of comic fandom are pining.

Darkseid pre-dates Thanos and while there are some similarities, the characters are quite different, especially in their motivations.

Oh don't get me wrong, they certainly have fans. Just about every character under the sun does. I personally have a soft spot for Sersi having read some of the Avengers stuff with her in it a few years back. But I don't think it's an exaggeration to say they most likely wouldn't be making Eternals stuff period had their profile not been raised by the movie. Or at least not right now. Ain't no shame in that. That comic book Guardians of the Galaxy box set didn't magically materialized out of nowhere in 2014 either. It's an observable trend Hasbro has been doing for a while and all I was saying was that if there really is a comic Eternals box set coming, it's most definitely because of that rather than in spite of it.

4reelz...and Darkseid's game isn't nihilism, entropy, or death. Where's the fun in that? While he might engage in genocidal acts with little to no compunction, Darkseid wants most to subjugate every sentient being in the universe to his will/whims. And he wants everyone to know that he is DOMINATING them while being powerless to stop him.

No. While the Eternals may have fallen by the wayside in Marvel, DC's fourth world material became a solid corner of their world. Darkseid may be the most well known New God but he rarely shows up without the others in tow since without them for context he's reduced to a generic invading alien trope who's not as fun as Mongul is at that point.

I for one loved the visuals of the Eternals but the stories fell flat to me. I wouldn't say no to a box set...but I don't see it selling that well. I mean if you want to print money put an "X" in front of it. X-men sell ..that's just the way it is.

I so disagree with you on the Fourth World stuff outside of the Forever People. Them, I don't care about, but Mr Miracle, New Gods, and the Jimmy Olsen stuff was spectacular (well, most of the Olsen ones).

And I care about the other characters besides Darkseid. That is why I was so pissed with the utter disrespect WB gave Steppenwolf for their dreadful JL movie.

At least, Superman The Animated Series did them justice.
