I've been redoing my shelves after selling a ton of stuff. Here's some of my horror figures.

I didn't even know they made that many Pennywise. I imagine you bought extra figures in order to use up all the extra heads?

Which witch figure is that up front?

You must have a NECA spare parts bin FULL of heads!

Shaun of the Dead. The BEST Zombies movie ever made!

You are correct!

Hellen from Mezco's Attack of the Living Dead line from 2006. I gave her a haircut, though.

You are correct!

It really is a very different collection. Especially getting multiple figures to showcase each version is a different perspective. I think this is very important because you reflect your own style here and I see a unique collection. Of course, buying more than one figure can be economically difficult from time to time. Congratulations. They look very nice. :)

Thanks! Yes, economically speaking, it will be getting harder and harder. I use to buy multiples of any figure that came with extra heads, so that I could display them all. When I realized that it would not be feasible to continue doing that because of limited money and even more limited space, I sold off a lot of the multiples that I had. Pennywise is the only one that I kept all of.

I understand. I hope you continue your collection very well. It's nice to see your shelves.

I have NO recollection of that line at all. Were they ever in stores or were they just Mezco direct only?

SpasticPlastic's collection is very similar to mine. One of everything. Although I'd only buy multiples if it's a different character (like Maria Hill/Quake). I'd love to have a collection like SpasticPlastic's Pennywise showcasing all the different heads he comes with, but like you mentioned, that just cost too much.

Prices definitely need to come down seriously all over the world. There is a serious economic problem in the world right now. Of course, hobby-related tools were always expensive, but after the pandemic, serious increases occurred in a way I did not understand. I missed some great vintage figures today.

I also have a lot of shortcomings in the field of Neca figures. When you do not focus on a single area, the collection becomes more difficult. I haven't been able to add a Jason yet if I have to sort. I need to get Dr. Brown. I don't have the Penywise balloon version. I hope I can find a few that are affordable. :)

I believe I bought that one at Spencers or Suncoast. They were available everywhere. There weren't very many characters, but they did 3 or 4 versions of each. Bloody, black and white, etc.

Just found this thread and wow that is a impressive horror collection, I love the distinctive looks of all the figures and how you did the display.

I only have one horror figure which is mcfarlane’s version of scream, but I would definitely buy a neca la Llorona if they ever make her.

Arachnid13 06-08-2022 12:42 PM

Gotta say I would buy Elvira if she wasn’t so top heavy, but I can’t say it isn’t accurate lol

That is the one from Amok Time Toys. She isn't quite as "bountiful" as the NECA one, but is still faithful, in plastic form, to her…plastic forms.

Cyclopswc 06-09-2022 08:02 AM

Let's be honest, no one watch Elvira for her WITS.

Wait, I remember you got the NECA Elvira signed edition, so I guess that's still in box?

It is still in the box. I haven't decided yet if I want to keep it or sell it.

I said "no one watch Elvira for her WITS."

So they watch her for her...? Something that rhymes with WITS?

I'm waiting for the unsigned one, because I know I'd want to open her, and it'd hurt me physically to open a $100 box. :)

You MUST mean knits, I didn’t know she did that for a hobby.

Thanks. Haven't opened him yet, but just looking through the plastic window, I have to agree.

Cyclopswc 06-21-2022 08:09 AM

Good stuff. Did they say they'll make a ManBat with open wings? I can't remember.
