I remember this reveal, but had fallen out of the line by then. Did this ever come out? I see some store listings as sold out, but no in hand pics.

DC Direct canceled it a few months after it was announced.

My excitement for the line can't be endangered as I never watch Mcfarlane interview. I was never a fan so I know to avoid it. Love the Dc comics universe though so I'll keep buying unique characters.

My Walmart has like 2-3 pegs dedicated to Gi Joe yet Walmart.com can't seem to get enough of exclusive figures for the line and Hasbro has said Gi Joe was one of their top performing brands recently.

So like I said this could more be indictive of brick and mortar retail's continued decline in the face of E-Commerce then a toyline faltering.

The GI Joe classified line isn't the problem necessarily, it's what hasbro is doing with it, Instead of making retro classified and nothing else, they decided to FAFO and piss everybody off making certain things exclusive. The standard Classified line is on discount everywhere while the Retro Classified is doing very well in general.

Atomsmasher 03-29-2024 11:02 PM

It's the weird waves that dont help. Ten shipwrecks and ten rock & rolls no troop builders. I dont know about retro the first wave is pegwarming hard here

The fact that some of the retros are peg warming at all is puzzling considering they are better than the standard classified figures.

Never were able to move them. I wanted to buy the Baroness at a discount for some cobra troopers but the price never moved. At the other walmart they got some crimson guard that stayed... until I found them. Don't know why people didn't pick them up.

Put me down for one Manhunter, Starfire, Captain Boomerang, Penguin, and Sergeant Rock!

I would like to get the Lucius Fox and Tumbler, but would probably have to decide which I want to go to bed with at night: The toys or the wife. So a definite maybe. LOL.

Tony_Bacala 03-30-2024 01:31 PM

I'm curious about the dates, most say 2025, but there is one that says 2025 with stuff that is out now. So hopefully all these actually mean spring/summer 2024

WallySparks 03-30-2024 01:32 PM

Wasn't Arnold Schwarzenneger supposed to do a Sgt Rock or Sgt Fury movie back then in the 1990s?

I find it interesting that the only Two-Faces we've gotten so far in this Multiverse line have been movie versions. As someone who got the original DCC two pack it doesn't affect me but I'm glad to see Phantasm getting an individual release. Also happy to finally see Starfire and I figured this is the look they'd go with since it lines up with the Beast Boy wave.

The BAF for the Forever wave is that giant bat from the deleted scene

I am surprised DC Collectibles never did plain clothes Bruce Wayne, this is a much needed figure. :) I'll happily re-buy these 4 I already have for him.
LOL at the Dude as a toy. I might actually get that. I love Jeff Bridges in that movie and in general.

Also, I am surprised, this year's line is not all 20 variations of Batman, for once!!! They even remembered people like Cassandra Cain and Starfire exist!

Harbinger 03-30-2024 04:16 PM

Man what is it with mcfartlame choosing the most gawdawful outfits for characters?! Toobad that once again the matrix figs by todd are statue crap!

Starfire looks great. That’s the exact look I wanted. Hopefully we get a proper comic Cyborg then to finish out the team.

Has McFarlane ever completed a team?

Seriously, that's a question. As in a team that's in the right uniform for the period?

I don't know enough about DC comics and teams. I know he tends to complete movie figures, that's because they're usually a small cast. I know he never completed the Suicide Squad.

He gets closer and closer. Marvel legends had 2 decades and still many are not finished. Todd has only had this 4 years. He’s getting there.

Batman Forever line doesn't look like as much of a home run as the B&R wave - maybe it will be different once we get more detailed pictures, but it looks like they might not have even gotten Carey's likeness. I also wish they had gone with the suited outfit - the jumpsuit just looks very...basic and generic as a figure. Also not a fan of the BAF Bat - I guess they had limited options, and it was too much to hope they'd instead have made like Two-Face the BAF and then did Chase or a Sugar'n'Spice 2 pack (I know, a pipe dream).

I'll still pick it up - I guess because I think the B&R wave was so awesome, there isn't much they could have done with BF that could have matched it for me.

A bit surprised we didn't hear any Batman 66 news, especially since some of the leaks made it sound like there was at least one more classic villain from the show coming. We also still so badly need Bruce and Dick at least, if not Alfred - I mean, we have that awesome Wayne Manor playset for them already.

ThorOdinson123 03-30-2024 08:04 PM

As Expected all the 2025 dates on those pictures were a mistake all these figures are coming out in 2024. Asoka The Geek got official confirmation from McFarlane.

CosmicCreature 03-30-2024 09:23 PM

Yay for Starfire !!!
Ok but Manhunters which are an army builder is a chase ??? awesome !!"No Man Escapes the Manhunter"
Damn it Sportsmaster is chase also ugghh .
I never found Movie cat woman and caped batman so this chase stuff recently is such a wild goose chase.
