Neither. I asked, and the clerk looked thru some of those plastic packing crates full of completely random crap. He found those 2 and no others. He said I was lucky, because he wasn't even putting them out, because there wasn't a spot for them on the sales floor.

OMG! I was there Sunday morning about 10:45 am. I walked down a couple of aisles and saw those plastic bins in the back! But didn't see the displays so I left.

I got it on SATURDAY, though. You were at the DURRANT road Walgreens?

Yep, I had been to the opening of TTC TRU at 10 then hit Target and Walmart and was heading up Capital towards Wake Forest when I did a search for Walgreens and it had me turn left on Durrant.

I have a preorder for the Luke, Darth, Chewbacka wave through BBTS. Didn't realize Darth was out. Still looking for the 6" Anakin and Clone trooper.

Checked out a couple of other Walgreens around on Saturday and didn't see anything, but will be a little more observant from now on.

You should share this find with the folks over at Jedi Temple Archives (A Star Wars Toys & Collectibles Resource; News, Photos and Reviews for Collectors - JediTempleArchives.com).

I'm not a member there. I am on Rebelscum, and shared.

Saw the Firefly, Back to the Future, and Escape from New York 80s-style ReAction figures at the TRU in Cary today, in addition to the Terminator figures they already had. They were putting out a large shipment of toys today and said they would have more tomorrow.

Falconhood 09-05-2014 04:48 PM

I'm not buying anything else (toys, not gas and food) until the toy show...so who's going to the Toy Show?

JangonateTK421 09-05-2014 09:00 PM

When's that Toy Show? I may have to bring the fam out.

I'm kinda on a toy fast, too. Trying to gain control of my 'gotta catch them all' mentality. Ask me how it's going when I find the new SW 6" figs, though. Need me a Vader!

Falconhood 09-05-2014 10:29 PM

end of this month.

Checked both Cary Walgreens, one on Davis and the other on High House, they both had full cases of Venoms.

THAT WAS EASY! Just got one.

Oh, I will be at the Toy Show in Raleigh in a couple of weeks, Falconhood

JangonateTK421 09-07-2014 02:00 PM

Found me a Vader and Chewbacca at a local Walgreen's. I really like Vader. Playing with him as I watch football. Good Sunday!

The Walgreens in Fuquay had a full case of Venoms over the weekend as well. I'm on the lookout for the Walgreens exclusive Classic Dalek from the Doctor Who Wave 3 line. I think I found a Walgreens that's putting them out on Wednesday. I just need one for my own collection. I'm also looking for the Dalek Attack Ship if anyone has any local intel on that. I know Barnes & Noble, FYE and TRU are all starting to carry the 3.75-inch DW figures.

Sadly I don't think I'll be at the Toy Show in Raleigh this month. It'll be the first one in several years that I've missed.

mj3141x 09-08-2014 10:45 AM

BTW, saw a few of the Nightmare Before Christmas 3 3/4-inch 80s-style ReAction figures at the FYE at the Cary Mall on Friday. I know they had Jack Skellington and maybe one or two others but I can't remember now which ones. I also saw several of The Rocketeer at the Barnes & Noble in Cary.

Yeah I know. But on the plus side I should have several new collections ready to sell in January, including a pretty extensive Transformers collection.

JangonateTK421 09-09-2014 12:03 PM

Still no luck with Agent Venom in Durham. Hoping to find him before the week is up to get him for $15.

Actually I'll have a lot more Star Wars out as well. Mostly loose POTF2, POTJ and Ep I, including some more vehicles. I'm moving in a few weeks so as I unpack all my stuff into a new "toy room" I'll be making more decisions on items and even whole collections that I'm ready to sell.

mj3141x 09-10-2014 10:23 AM

Just saw the major reset at the TRU in Cary today at lunch. They have combined all of their Star Wars stuff (action figures, role play, LEGOs, PEZ, school supplies, etc.) into one new Star Wars area (including new store fixtures) with dedicated endcaps for Star Wars Rebels and The Black Series. They even had two new Black Series figures: Luke (Dagobah Training) and Yoda (Dagobah Training). Both of which I passed on. They also have a similar new area for Marvel and pretty much everything else has been shifted around and reset as well. They also had more 50th Anniversary GI Joe stuff out as well (more Battle Below Zero sets and more Blowtorch vs. HEAT Viper 2-packs).

anindrew 09-10-2014 03:00 PM

Hi all! I haven't posted here in a while. Thanks to your reports, I stopped by my local Walgreens in Belmont, NC (near Gastonia/Mt. Holly) and found Agent Venom. It was nice to get him on sale, too. They had an end cap with several. They had no Star Wars Black series figures (yet?).

If you're into Transformers, they had some older cyberverse and Beast Hunter figures. They also have wave 3 Kreo Micro-changers.

Did they actually have Rebels figures out yet?

No, no figures and no vehicles. Just some of the other stuff in Rebels packaging (role play, etc.). And all that Command stuff. But the space seems to be set aside and ready for Rebels product when it hits.

I think the only Rebels piece I'm interested in personally is the Rebel ship. That looks like a cool (and unique) vehicle. Otherwise the whole line breaks my rule of no animated series stuff.

mj3141x 09-11-2014 11:37 AM

I was at the Walgreens in Fuquay today (the one at the corner of Main and Sunset Lake) and they had the 6-inch Star Wars Sandtrooper with black shoulder patch in stock.
