Looks like brains is not the only thing Venom is trying to lick... err eat.....

BTW, I picked up 2 of the Scorpion Venom figs at my local TRU a few days ago. If anyone needs one, let me know. If not, I'm giving it to my boy. I just need to find him a good Spidey to go with him...

FancyPants 09-04-2012 08:12 PM

EL997 09-04-2012 10:10 PM

man...finding a decent spider man figure is like looking for a (expensive ass) needle in a hay stack. if anyone has one theyd be willing to part with PM me

did any of the figures come with articulated fingers cept for the mcfarlane/sinister six/fearsome foes/snapshot version? i feel they are integral to the spiderman figure

Do you see what I see?

This was taken at my local Target in Alhambra, CA (Alhambra is South of Pasadena and East of Los Angeles. It's still technically Los Angeles County). Aside from the obvious lack of MU figures (all the pegs to the right of the MLs are supposed to be MU. I found a solitary Storm fig hiding behind some Amazing Spidey figs), there is a Wave 3 Neo Classic Armor Iron Man on the middle peg! There's also another one behind Steve. When I first saw this, I thought to myself "wtf? Wave 3 has hit retail already?" Then I took IM and Steve over to a scanner - both scanned as the same UPC. After some contemplation and a conversation with king1026, we came to the conclusion that someone probably bought a case or two and returned these to Target. Some scalper kept all the high demand figs and returned IM. I personally like that figure a lot. He's pretty bulky in comparison to Extremis IM and the paint job is pretty spot on. I guess they can't scalp them for much like the rest of the figs in that wave...

If anyone's wondering, the rest of the figs are: 1 Thor, a few Extremis IMs, 3 or 4 Klaw figs, a ton of Bucky Caps and 2 or 3 Drax's...

Holy shit those are some outrageous prices. Looks like Canada HAHA.

wolverine2281 09-04-2012 11:13 PM

that's crazy that the ML's are still $14.99 despite the prices of the figures surrounding it

Yup, pretty amazing that they haven't raised those yet. The Target over here likes to fluctuate their prices like crazy. Every week, the price is different on those MU characters. Amazing Spidey is at $9.99 right now. It was $8.99 2 weeks ago. The MU figs were $11.69 last week... I have a receipt somewhere to prove that. I bought figs here, took them to Chino, returned them there and then re-bought them at $8.99 + 7.75% tax. Tax in LA County is $8.75%. Totally sucks to have prices like these, but you do what you gotta do...

Oh, forgot to mention that MLs were 15.79 last week I think... maybe the week before. One thing is for sure, they've got TRU beat on those comic packs by a whopping .20 cents! However, the TRU near Glendale has those same comic packs for $21.99 - gotta love price gouging just because you're in a more expensive neighborhood (by expensive, I mean the costs of homes are much higher there).

after my experience with a WM Manager flat out admitting to me that the Harvest has "priority over toys" and he wasn't sure when the new toys would be put on the shelves... that i should come back often and check the aisles, "just in case"... well, i just about threw in the proverbial retail towel after that.

if this dude runs his store this way, you can imagine every other WM doing the same crap - which explains the event horizon!

I am not surprised. I have a similar horror story from Target, but I'd rather not get into it right now. It happened last week and I'm still a bit irritated about it.

freakout117 09-04-2012 11:49 PM

Who has found an X-Force Deadpool in their area yet? I haven't but I ordered mine yesterday.

WoRkAh0LiC 09-05-2012 12:00 AM

Aw, screw it. Let me begin by saying that I already have the Spidey/Doom 2 pack. I wanted to get another one for my son. Go to Target, they have new Comic 2 packs out. Scan one, it says they have more in the back. Ask an employee if he can get me what's in the back so I can grab the one I am looking for. I specifically told him the exact one I wanted. He says he has to ask his manager. Comes back 2 minutes later and says that since there are still some on the floor, he can't go get any more in the back. I explain to him that there are a total of 12 packs on the floor, and there are 3 pegs for this stuff. If he went and pulled one box from the back, it still wouldn't be enough to fully stock the pegs. He said that I could talk to his manager if I wanted to. I go to the manager and start to explain. I repeat START to explain. Manager cuts me off and says, "We don't cater to collectors." I didn't even finish my sentence and this is what he tells me. I told him I was not buying it as a collector, but for my son. He simply replies with, "No, I'm not going to get it." I explain how there is space for more on the pegs. He replies, "We won't restock it until there are no more left on the pegs." I ask, "what if there was only 1 left?" He said, "Doesn't matter, I still won't restock until all of them are sold." The entire time he is telling me this, he has this attitude in his voice. He's giving me this rude a$$ look and sounds like a total jerkoff. I said again, "Look man, I know there are people that collect this out there. I just want one for my son. I know exactly which one I want for him. My son is a huge Spider-Man fan and I...." Before I could finish, he cuts me off and says, "look, I already told you no, so stop wasting my time." I looked at him in shock. I said, "OK, what's your name?" He gave me his first name. As I was walking away, I turned back and said, "What's your last name?" He gave me his last name and I clearly said, this is not the end of this. I'll be calling corporate right now. I called corporate and complained as I walked away. They said they would LOOK INTO THE ISSUE. I explained how he was talking to me, the tone of his voice, the attitude and everything. This was simply horrible customer service. If he had explained to me that they had a new policy (which I later found out when complaining to his boss in the store) in a calm and polite manner, then I would have accepted it. But no, he had to be a jackass. I never heard back from corporate even though I asked for a return call about the issue. His boss didn't do anything for me either, but at least she was nice and calm about the whole situation. I really hate how bad customer service has gotten in the past few years.

I seriously almost bought all of their 2 packs just to make them restock. Then I'd go and return all of them somewhere else LOL. My girlfriend calmed me down and I didn't do that, but damn I was so close to doing it. I was seriously FUMING. Anyways, that's my Target drama. When did customer service go out the damn window?

Wave 3 hasn't hit retail stores yet. How much did you pay for him online? Where did you buy him from?

freakout117 09-05-2012 12:04 AM

WOW dude, lousy service. I went to my local Target and the service was okay, I guess that manager has some issues.

freakout117 09-05-2012 12:05 AM

Bought Deadpool for about 25$ with free shipping from comixshop. I think that is the name...

wolverine2281 09-05-2012 12:13 AM

That sux WoRk. I've never had that problem with Target. You should have bought them all anyway with a credit card and just returned them later.
