Looked back at this old pic and now it's got me wanting to pick-up a few Marvel Heroclix minis to go with the new Galactus.

Better off getting MU 3.75 figs, they're more articulated than these 80s ripoffs which have what, 5-6 POA? |

I need that Galactus, I need him BAD. I'm hoping to offset the cost by selling some other legends, if anyone needs these lemme know, I'll cut a good deal if you buy a couple or all of them :D If anything's missing from the pic, I don't have it haha

It amazes me how some here have been hyping these as some great new action figure when it's just a rehash of the cheesy 5 POA 80s Secret wars line from 85'-86'. And charging $14 for these is a damn crime. I bought em for $5 back then & that's the most I'd pay for them now. |
^^ It's the gimmick. They’re selling packaging. The action figure is little more than an accessory. I'll admit I was interested initially, until I saw some first-hand.
On topic, my Ursa Major figs have trickled in this week, along with She-Hulk. I dig ‘em. Mostly. The only one I'm not sure I'll keep is Hologram IM. Don’t get me wrong, he’s an excellent figure. I just don’t see where he really fits in my collection. Ultron is damn-near articulated comic perfection, and Stealth IM might be the coolest straight-up repaint I’ve ever seen. |

Your point about the packaging is spot on. I'm not generally swayed by packaging, it's so much refuse in my eyes to be tossed and recycled (hopefully). That said, many Legends fans seem to love the retro cards. To each their own, I guess, but at least the ML fans are getting their money's worth for their purchase. Quote:

Exactly why I went ahead and jumped on this guy before he gets too expensive. |

Dormammu arrived in the mail today. I just haven't been seeing this wave at all in my stores except for a single god-emperor Doom a couple of weeks ago so I just ordered Dormammu from Dorkside since he's the one that I wanted the most. Overall I'm happy with the figure even if the head-fire isn't that wonderful yellow they originally showed in his CG reveal render. In hand there's still a nice distinction between his painted face and the clear fire behind it. Including trigger hands at all is pretty odd but having them be the default hands out-of-the-box is plain funny, the other hands all work well. I like that his face-crown/frame is removable so you don't have to have him wearing it if you don't care for it. The construction on his elbow joints is pretty awkward and mine has excess plastic on his right ankle hinge that makes the joint difficult to work with but everything else moves fine. Hopefully we get a classic Dr Strange soon-ish, probably around when his movie sequel drops. |
Will we get Umar?
