Silver Surfer Fantastic Four Black Panther Daredevil Spider-Man Wolverine Punisher Ghost Rider The Avengers The West Coast Avengers (via Master Pandemonium, another character I want) The Xmen X-Factor Galactus Dr. Strange Etc... It's sort of comical that you said that, especially given your demonstrated knowledge of Marvel. They'll get to the remake of the Wrecking Crew...don't fret. Until then, people (myself included) have been requesting a revsit of Blackheart for a long time and scratching our heads at the Select version being our only option for Mephisto. The tease in this list is a welcome one. |
If we do get a second Bring On The Bad Guys wave, I'm curious if Abomination would be the Build-A-Figure or a Deluxe Fan Channel release. I just hope the next inevitable Leader figure is the orange-and-black suit version with the "Jiffy Pop" giant brain (after reading that description about Leader once in Wizard Magazine #60, I've never gotten that out of my head). Since Hasbro has some kind of Captain America figure planned, I'd love to see that revealed as well to go with the rumored Baron Zemo figure.
I also hope we'll finally see the Retro Fantastic Four figures on Wednesday. I hope that we get a fully visible Invisible Woman for the main wave and that Hasbro eventually makes figures of a completely invisible Invisible Woman and a new Human Torch with "grill lines" on the figure's body. And of course, more figures of Fantastic Four villains are always welcome. I'm also curious about what Hasbro has planned for Spider-Man. We've seen some 'No Way Home' figures, but since we don't have a trailer and some sites are saying the film may be delayed to 2022 due to COVID, does this mean the line will be pushed back or will it come out before the movie like the 'Black Widow' movie Legends wave? I also really, REALLY hope we'll see some Retro Spider-Man figures. I know I keep saying that I hope they make a "Death of Captain Stacy" suit and glasses version of Doc Ock with bendable wire tentacles, but I'd also love to see if the rumored classic figures for Lizard, Shocker, black costume Spider-Man and Hobgoblin turn out to be true. I hope you all are having a great day and stay safe, everyone. |

J. Michael Straczynski and Joe Quesada wrote "One More Day" and then Quesada wrote the just-as-terrible "One Moment in Time". Dan Slott wrote a lot of Spider-Man stories I didn't care for as well, such as "Spider-Island", "Ends of the Earth", "Superior Spider-Man" and the Peter Starker run of "Amazing". Slott's run on Spider-Man is one of the worst I've ever read, but quite frankly, Spider-Man hasn't been the same since "One More Day". I haven't bought a 616 Spider-Man comic, or Marvel comic, regularly since the "Sins Past"/"Civil War"/"One More Day" nonsense.
Back on topic, I'm curious to see what Marvel Legends figures get revealed on Wednesday's livestream. |

Mary Jane didn't disappear, they just didn't marry. Mephisto erased the history of their deep and abiding love.

Well heck, For being the Lord of the underworld, he isn't that tough if street fighter level heroes such as Spidey, DD, Punisher, Wolvy & Black Panther have beaten him. I personally don't care for the character but for those of you that do, I don't see him coming in any other way but as a BAF or deluxe release. |

A couple of quick things: Spider Man might occasionally fight some petty street level foes, severely and perpetually pulling his punches in the process, but his powers elevate him far above "street level" to the point of making his characterization as such a popular misnomer - a misnomer that the Superior Spider Man story demonstrated to be a fallacy. He has super-human speed, agility, durability and strength (just as strong as 3/4 of your coveted Wrecking Crew - I guess they are also "street level" villains) all of which allow him to achieve feats like confounding an entire X-men team singlehandedly in the pages of the original Secret Wars, or defeating Thunderball - while he was in possession of the Wrecker's crowbar - in one-on-one combat in his own book. Daredevil was able to defeat Blackheart shortly after his "birth" with the aid of Spider Man who provided the super-powered muscle. However, IIRC, their victory, as with most demonic encounters, was more so attributed to the pureness of their souls than force of hand and Blackheart's "newness" to the plane. Ghost Rider, Wolverine, and Punisher fought Blackheart together in The Hearts of Darkness one shot. You may not be very familiar with the Black Panther as he has been written in the 616. His powers may put him more in line with a Wolverine-type (marginally super-powered), however, his mind and the technological resources of the most advanced society of humans on the planet elevate him far, far beyond. He defeated Mephisto via preparation and mobilizing the technology and brilliance of his Wakandan scientists to cut off Mephisto from the source of his power. There are a lot of Marvel stories out there man. Check them out, you might like a few. |

I actually have a few of the comics you mentioned. I'll take back the street level comment bout Spidey. He is above DD & Frank. His 10 ton strength is the same as the Crew members but they are more impervious to punishment as they have taken on Thor & survived his punches as well as a with Hercules. Mephisto as a figure would be of no use to me as I'm more into physical type characters that I can actually pose in cool fight scenes in normal regular settings. With Cosmic or Godly type characters, not so much. Mephisto is not a brawler, he's a devious planner/schemer. Already got Doom/Loki to cover that. I do hope you guys get him & Blackheart, just not for me. |
^^^I agree that while Thunderball, Bulldozer, and Piledriver are all the same strength as Spidey, they do seem to be a bit more sturdily constituted. Honestly, I think they should be in the 20-25 ton range similar to Valkyrie.
I hope you get your redrafted Wrecking Crew too. It would be a win for me also since I've complained from the start that the Crew was too large and that they were made so to match that oversized RotML/SDCC/Odin wave Thor buck. I'm glad the 80th version of Thor fixed (for the most part, it still tracks a tiny bit too big) the problem, but now the Crew is all messed up. Too bad too, because that Wrecker sculpt is fantastic. Hopefully we get as good of an effort when they revisit. We also need classic Beta Ray on that Warpath body... |
