I RECEIVED my Hercules today. What a great figure!! Captures him just how it should. Here's hoping they do the Wrecking Crew over again on this buck! Then it's "Smack down" time!!
|
If anyone needs him, Retro Shocker is back in stock (for now) on Amazon. If anyone missed him from the upcoming new Marvel Legends Retro Spider-Man toyline, you can find him here while he's still in stock: https://www.amazon.com/spider-man-le...ransformers-20

My Sentinels are out for delivery...
MY SENTINELS ARE OUT FOR DELIVERY!!! OH YEAH BABY!!!! EDIT: Package was delivered to my apartment's package room, so as soon as I get home I can have some fun before we head to the movies. YAY!! Glad they arrived before we fly out. |

Totally concur. Wrecker would be the only one that would need new tooling as he has that Biker jacket sculpt jumpsuit attire. The other 3 have cookie cutter costumes that would only require new head sculpts & Piledriver given a studded harness, & studded boot & glove cuffs. The main thing is that none of them should be any taller than retro Herc & 80th anniv Thor. Tallest member of the crew is Thunderball at 6'6. |
Marvelousnews with some minor updates.
https://marvelousnews.com/252-29614 There are at least 8 more Toy Biz redos (not counting Hulk and Toad, I guess) in the works. They'll be from all over TB's history with the Legends license, so not straight recreations of wave 2 and beyond. Iron Spider is planned as part of a Spider-Man anniversary event scheduled to run throughout the year, with at least 12 other figures. Sleepwalker is going to be in the wave for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which is also where the previously revealed D'Spayre is dropping. Knull is coming in a two-pack with a character that is likely Venom (I'm guessing on the Omega Red body again). |

Yay *rumored* 2 pack for Knull! I was hoping it'd be something like this rather than BAF, as while I like the character, not enough to get a wave .
Interesting to note about potential Sleepwalker figure. I know some people here will be happy for that. I'm sure this won't happen but I'd love to see an Umar, but I figure the female wave spots will be taken by MCU Scarlet Witch or Miss America Chavez (this is the movie she's going to be in right?) I'd also be even more thrilled if we got Morgan Le Fay - she's a sorceress and she appeared in the (ghastly) 1978 Dr. Strange movie - c'mon Hasbro, you know you wanna reference that film. But that's me wishing - I'm hope we get as many evil sorceresses as possible. |
Well it looks like I need to contact both FedEx and Hasbro as only two Sentinels were delivered:

However, I think these 20th anniversary Legends would be a good opportunity to re-release Cyclops and Dark Phoenix from the TRU 2 pack. As we saw from the poor soul who posted the shot of their broken Dark Phoenix, Hasbro needs to get a new DP out with better QC. And a new Cyclops could come with the X-Factor Cyclops' extra head that used the optic blast effect. |
I'm thrilled to hear that we're apparently getting 13 new Spider-Man related figures for Spidey's 60th anniversary year next year! Whether it's for the Retro wave or the 60th anniversary wave, I'm hopeful we'll see some more civilian supporting characters made into figures next year. I'd love to see characters like Aunt May Parker, Flash Thompson, Harry Osborn, Mary Jane Watson and Joe "Robbie" Robertson get new figures. I'm still hopeful we'll see some kind of figures for the Chameleon, Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin and Venom next year, since Chameleon is Spidey's first Lee/Ditko villain and the other three are among Spider-Man's greatest and most popular enemies.
For the Marvel Legends 20th anniversary wave, I'm curious if that's where a new classic Hawkeye figure might end up, since we've seen the old Marvel Legends Toy Biz Hawkeye displayed in the background of recent live-streams. Having a new Hawkeye with an arrow accessory with a shrunken Ant-Man on it would be cool. I could also see a classic Thor with new alternate head sculpts and accessories released for either the 20th anniversary wave or for his 'Thor: Love and Thunder' movie wave. Personally, I'm hoping for new figures of classic Luke Cage, classic Iron Fist, classic Carol Danvers Ms. Marvel, any version of Wonder Man (whether it's Safari jacket or his black-and-red West Coast uniform, I'd be happy with both), classic red costume Daredevil, classic Longshot, classic Jessica Drew Spider-Woman, classic Magneto, classic Mystique, Ghost Rider, and trenchcoat, hat and sunglasses clad Thing as either 20th anniversary figures or for any other Marvel Legends wave within the next year or two. And figures of '70s Cyclops and Dark Phoenix on new body molds are a must for any upcoming Marvel Legends wave. I am excited that Storm and Jean Grey will be in the X-Men Animated Series wave, but I'm surprised Morph isn't confirmed yet considering his popularity. Hopefully we'll see new non-cel shaded, sold separately, Jim Lee era suit versions of characters such as Cyclops and Jean Grey in the future with next accessories. EDIT: I saw an interview with the Hasbro Marvel Legends team on the Adventures in Collecting Podcast channel and saw that Dan Yun had the 80th anniversary figures of Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man with the Retro Spider-Man displayed behind him, as well as a Toy Biz Spider-Man TAS Web Shooting Spider-Man with two other Toy Biz Spider-Man TAS figures hidden from view. I wonder if this is teasing that a classic Spider-Man re-release of some kind will happen after all. I also saw a six inch '70s Cyclops with the Retro 3.75 inch figure, so hopefully he'll get a re-release or remake too. |
I suspect Dan teases future announcements/releases by putting classic figures behind him. Although I don’t always get to check out the live streams to test that theory. But I do remember seeing cared Venom and symbiote Spiderman figures from the Toy Biz SMTAS line on Dan’s shelf back in April and wondering if those would be next in the Spiderman retro Legends. And now Hasbro has released a retro Venom and announced a retro black costume Spiderman. Ryan usually has what ever is current behind him while Dwight just has curtains.
|
Dan's background figures can be pretty hit and miss, but usually we do get some good results out of it. He did show Spider-Man figures for Shocker and Hobgoblin before in previous live-streams and they ended up being confirmed as new figures. Mr. Yun also did show figures for Lizard and Doc Ock in previous videos earlier this year, so I hope those end up being potential 2022 releases.
On the subject, I can't wait to get the Retro Black Costume Spider-Man and the other figures from the new Retro wave. I can't get over how impressive the Retro Spider-Man waves and figures have been. |
Took a few more pics after having to put them away until we get back from our trip on Monday along with a few other shots:

As far as the comic based Spiderman waves are concerned, only way I'd buy another classic Venom is if Hasbro throws him on the retro Hercules buck, otherwise, I'll just stick with the 1st Venom they made a few yrs ago. As far as his villains, I'm good to go with the majority that they have already made, especially the upcoming comic based Shocker & classic Hammerhead. I just need classic Tarantula on the new Spidey buck or Sunfire buck & an in scale classic Rhino. Black Tarantula would be a buy as well. As far as his allies go, a classic Hector Ayala White Tiger would be most welcome & long over due!
With classic Zemo jr coming out, the rest of his Masters of evil group is a must do! Classic Wrecking crew, evil Goliath on a 12' buck, Trapster, Titania, Moonstone, Blackout, Absorbing man & a legit Mr Hyde! Tiger shark needs to go on a newer buck as well. Scorpion, Whirlwind the Beetle & Shocker were also members & thankfully, those have been well done by Hasbro & they are a part of my MOE collection along with Grey Gargoyle & Klaw. |

And I wonder which Sabertooth we are getting in that Vulcan wave? |

^ That West Coast Avengers pic is my goal... except I am missing US Agent... and I don't have Silver Centurion either. I am also gonna put Moon Knight in my WCA display since I don't know where else to put him. And I guess I need the upcoming white Vision too... except I can live without a Vision. Seems like the West Coast Avengers is always changing line-ups though when I google their group pics to find who exactly belongs to that team.

Don't freaking tease me with Sleepwalker!!!!!!
