I'll have to gather my top 10 for the year soon. :) |
Seems like Hasbro is feeling some compensation issues when it comes to how big a box Amazon ships their single items in.

Awesome setup Bo Ttef! Just realized that it has been over 3 years since I stopped actively collecting Legends and last posted in here. Wow, time flies! It looks like there has been a lot of great stuff released. Hope you all are well.

My initial impressions of the Excalibur set:
Captain Britain - This figure is way cooler than I expected him to be. The paint work is great and the colors really work well together. I'm trying to remember where he used Excalibur though and I'm drawing a blank. I even skimmed through my Omnibus and can't seem to find a fight where he didn't use his fists to fight. Meggan - I have mixed feelings on Meggan. First off, the flesh paint scratched off the top of her right shoulder. Fortunately, since her head can't really move thanks to the brick called hair it's hidden away, but still annoying as all hell. There also seems to be something off about her face. I don't really think Meggan was meant to smile that way as she looks more like she is ready to trick your childen into her ginderbreak house and eat them rather than save the world. Shadowcat - It is weird that her hair is not curly, however, it looks far better in person than the images made her look. And who knows, maybe Hasbro can always pack a better head with Phoenix or something. I was amazed to learn she doesn't reuse the Firestar/BW body and is actually a smaller teen body like I thought she had. I wonder who else they could use her body for. I don't think Siryn was a teenager, though, I could be wrong. The paint apps are great. It is a shame they didn't use the pinless joints for anyone in the pack though. |
Does anyone have the Sasquatch BAF head from Deadpool they would part with?

HasbroPulse doth both giveth AND taketh away:
...Skrull soldiers pushed back to March. ...Shield pack pushed to April. |
My email said May for the Skrulls.

X-Force pack is back in stock on Pulse. Approximate ship 12/15 (today!) Went ahead and ordered, hopefully it will actually ship this month.

Right, I think keeping that era to late 91 (start of Blue and Gold team) on up to right before the Phalanx Covenant would be a solid early 90's date range. The teams were fairly stable there for a while, with a few exceptions. I think when the "90's" teams are talked about, that's the era most people are referring to, as well as adding in Generation X. after Onslaught there were a lot of change ups. |
With Hasbro's face printing technology I hope they make figures of the characters that meet Ned and MJ in Spider-Man NWH. I would definitely buy them.

That sucks. I missed out on both sets and am hoping they re-sell these again before Spring. I need 10 Skrull grunts & 4 SHIELD Agents. |

I'm more worried about picking up another Hellfire club goon. My tenth fig's arm was shorn off at the shoulder straight out of the package and I'm not trying to pay the $30 it's currently going for on Ebay. |

THere are still several villains that need to happen before I can call them good however. |

2. Gamerverse Miles Morales - Amazing sculpt work and packed with accessories. Raising the bar for Spidey figures IMO. 3. AOA Colossus - A massive hunk of plastic with outstanding sculpting. 4. Surtur - Wasn't expecting to love this guy so much, but he looks amazing in person. The sculpt, the paint, the translucent plastic choice. It all comes together for an outstanding figure. 5. Ironheart - Not my preferred costume choice, but Hasbro still knocked this one out of the park. The unmasked head may just be the best female headsculpt they've ever done on a comic figure. 6. MCU Scarlet Witch - They really nailed the likeness on this one and did a nice job translating the costume. 7. Xemnu - A character I honestly never thought we'd get. Reused body aside, they did a great job capturing the creepy headsculpt and the sculpted detail. Immortal Hulk had me really wanting a figure of this dude, and I'm glad Hasbro obliged. 8. Lady Deathstrike - Really great design and nice articulation. Another female villain to add to the shelf doesn't hurt either. 9. MCU Shang-Chi - Not the best figure but it's got a great sculpt and is extremely fun to pose. 10. Rictor - More of a symbolic victory; I've wanted a figure of this dude forever. He meant a lot to me as a teen. |
