I saw a what looks like a more classic Falcon figure on fwoosh.com, is it just a custom or is it the real deal.

Go to the Fwoosh forum that says Retro Avengers/West Coast Avengers in the Baxter Building File, you'll see what I mean.

Seeing the Iron Man in @StuartGreen2019's Perez styled wave, which is a pretty nice wave btw;), got me thinking about some of the comic based Iron Man armors that we need a figure of as well as armors/figures that need updating. These are just my personal favorites.
https://i.imgur.com/YqsiTZW.png **Neo-Classic: We received this armor in the very first Legends Vintage wave but the figure was horribly out of date by then (2017). The figure was originally designed for the Iron Man Armored Avenger line that came out between Iron Man 2 and the Avengers. The figure itself was never released in that line but it was designed around 2010. **Renassaince: We've never had a figure of it and it's about time we did. https://i.imgur.com/RUQ7ZoV.png **Secretary of Defense/Pentagon/Pre-Extremis/TB Wave 8: What ever you want to call this armor, it was the basis for the Toy Biz Wave 8 Iron Man. https://i.imgur.com/mbDW77u.png **Extremis: This armor was in the first Return of Marvel Legends wave. It was good compared to some of the other figures but it was undersized and those hips didn't allow for much movement. And Hasbro made alternate hands but never gave them to us outside of the Norman Osbourne Iron Patriot figure. **I haven't found a name for this armor but it seems to be the most recent Iron Man armor in the comics. It looks like a modern update of the classic Red and Gold armor and is possibly inspired by Endgame's Mark 85 armor. |
Happy new year, folks.

THAT is the classic Falcon that I'm pretty sure we have all been waiting for! I hope it comes out in 22'. I have bypassed all the previous comic based versions in hopes that this one will be coming soon. |
This classic Falcon and a re-issued Tigra with better hair that covers both her ears would be nice, kind of like Meggan's hair from the Excalibur 3-pack.

Haven't been on in a bit. I hope everyone had a happy and healthy holiday season. I need to get my top 10 list from 2021 together. I also have a wish list in the works for 2022. I saw some great ones a few pages back. Solid choices!

Were Thanos and Stiltman in 2021? If so, then they are definitely on my list of best figures along wtih Psycho Man, AoA Colossus, and Sentinel.

After much thought, here's my top 10 of 2021.
1) Stilt Man BAF- he was a huge want for me. The ability to make him ass tall as you want is pretty awesome. I'm 6'3" and I have enough extensions to make Stilt Man stand taller than me. 2) Modular Armor Iron Man- the 90's Iron Man show introduced me to Iron Man. I always loved the design. Looking at this figure just makes me happy. 3) Ultron- He's damn near perfect to me. I love it! 4) Sentinel (HasLab)- He's pretty great, and the addition of the Bastion and Female Prime Sentinel figures are pretty cool. It definitely has some issues, but it has a presence when you see it in a display. 5) Thanos- Just an awesome version of a classic Thanos 6) Armadillo- Once they announced him, I knew I was going to want him. He's a solid BAF and is a lot of fun to mess with. 7) Lady Deathstrike- Another solid and fun figure. I'm happy to have an update to the old Toy Biz one on my shelf. She's great to pose! 8) AoA Colossus- While I like the AoA wave, it felt a bit lack luster, with the exception of Colossus. He's a tank and I love it! 9) Baron Zemo (Falcon and the Winter Solider version)- He's literally the only live action figure I picked up this year. I don't normally buy any. But I like Zemo as a character and I loved the look from the show. 10) Dormammu- Just looks great to me! Can't wait to put him next to that upcoming classic Dr. Strange! As for a top 10 want list for 2022... 1) Feral (let's finish X-Force!) 2) Random (Let's finish X-Factor too!) 3) Exodus 4) Genesis (Cable's son when he was trying to be Apoclaypse) 5) Avalanche (I have the old one, but and update would be nice) 6) Classic Mockingbird 7) Comic Style Smart Hulk 8) Speedball 9) Fixer 10) Atlas |

^It's easier and more cost effective to reissue a color edit.
Tooling a Falcon and Redwing costs big bucks, as apologists might admonish. This ain't the Joe line where Spirit gets his familiar, along with other accessories and textured details. Maybe, if we're lucky, the rumored 3rd Falc will come with the Joe eagle repurposed as a falcon (despite size and structure differences) for the deluxe rate of 30 bones. /s |
MarvelousNews posted concept art of Thor and Jane from Love and Thunder. The images are on Twitter so hopefully they load OK for people.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FINv5NTW...pg&name=medium https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FINv5XIX...pg&name=medium MarvelousNews also posted what appears to be Tessa Thompson taking a selfie in her new Valkyrie costume. I'm a bit suspicious of this one since it's a selfie coming from a random Twitter account. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FIJWE6yX...pg&name=medium |

Amazon delivered my Human Torch today. I've seen an abundance of every single figure in this retro wave except for Johnny, he's always been completely absent in stores but thankfully he was easy to nab online. I passed on the Walgreens Johnny because I didn't care for how light-orange he was but this one's pretty firmly red so I was on board. There's some paint slop with the orange on his arms but since it's all supposed to be fire anyway this is fine by me. What I really like about this Torch figure is that there are no costume details tethering him to any specific FF lineup so he works outside of the retro assortment too, you could even have him stand in for the Jim Hammond Human Torch if you feel so inclined. In non-toy news I finally saw No Way Home today, I quite enjoyed it. Now I'm really hoping that this year being the 20th anniversary of Raimi's first Spider-Man stacked with this new movie's use of the character finally gets us a new '02 Dafoe Green Goblin. |
Speaking of No Way Home, it's kind of interesting retail distribution on this. I was out Monday night and hit a few stores, saw plenty of Eternals, AOA and the Fantastic Four retro figures (though missing certain figures here and there) but absolutely none of the Far From Home wave. Is this actually not retail streeted yet? I just find it odd that such a huge film doesn't have a retail presence yet.
|
Yeah, I've only seen Strange and Miles in stores, but no one else.
|
Yeah, for once people are buying up all the movie Spider-man figures, which attest to the popularity of the movie and the toys hitting at the right time (Christmas).
