It's on tomorrow night.
And I am incapable of watching videos online, so netflix isn't an option. Nor do I want to watch TV on the internet. |
I watch through the xbox and PS3 so its just like another on demand option.
So I was thinking of Gina Carano for WW. She actually knows how to fight. |
Ive always thought Marvel movies have generaly translated to to the big screen much better than DC but DC has better animation BY FAR. I really don't see a JLA movie working well in the foreseeable future. Nolan breathed life into the DC movieverse but I think they are doomed if they think they can copy and paste his vision all over their properties. A dark Superman? Lol wtf? I love Marvel but Superman is my number 1 dude and I have no hope for this new movie. I built up Superman Returns to my kids and that shit broke my heart. I would be amazed if this new movie isn't horrible.
They should just stick to cartoons. The first 2 seasons of JL were dope. If you had a choice between a JL movie with an unlimited budget or a brand new JL animated show what would you choose today? |
It's true. Plus they're gonna have to try and reboot Green Lantern after the movie bombed, then the non-starter that was the Wonder Woman TV show. Yet Marvel's next movie has a talking tree and a gun toting raccoon. Stick to animated JL and hope the new batman maintains

I still feel that Green Lantern's only real problem was that it tried to do too much, in too short a space.
Seriously, it had about a trilogy's worth of plot crammed into one movie. They had no business casting Ryan Renolds as Hal Jordan, but honestly he wasn;t that aweful. It was the fact they tried to work an origin story, training, social life, Sinestro, Hammond, Parallax, AND start building to the war of light all in one go. It was just too much. If they had cut out just one of those elements and made a stronger focus on the others, it would have been a much stronger movie. That said, Nolen is not directing the MoS movie (Producing, not directing), and I'm fairly certain it's not going to simply ape Batman Begins, but with Superman. Nolen is not michael bay. He knows how to make more than one film. |
Ryan Reynolds is great as Deadpool and might have been a good Kyle. He's too lively to be boring old Hal. They did cram a lot in there but that is what Hollywood tries to do. I think a better movie would have been training with Sinestro and then facing on stellar threat on an alien world. Maybe like fighting an alien army or something. Then at the end we get Hal and Sinestro celebrating together or something happens and Sinestro is thought to be killed. In the sequel you could have Sinestro either overreaching in his use of the ring (taking over his home planet?) and getting it taken away or just show that he survived but had to do really shady stuff to get back to OA then being kicked out. This could be shown in the first like 25 minutes. After that he finds his Yellow ring and then you've yourself an old fashioned showdown. It seems so simple but I guess it's not.
For me the visuals were just disgusting and unwatchable. It just looked cheap and cheesy. The costumes for the Lanterns need to go back to the basics. |
I think this film might be decent.
