It's definitely hard to pull off that kind of joke over the internets without people wondering.

Glad you aren't an ass.

Thanks, but im afraid some may be more absolute in their thinking, and my original comment has stuck me in the "ass" catagory in their minds.Life goes on :)

The retail version comes with a captain america figure.

Never understood why, it should come with a Nick Fury figure if it wanted to make sense. Or yeah, Maria Hill.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones and those that whine and complain about the every present but rarely seen "scalper" have been just as guilty of the same behavior.

Point is, there is no such thing as scalpera so there is no need to throw that term around.

So what? It's still about half the price that everyone else was selling it for so it doesn't even compare. There is a huge difference between selling a figure or two and running a ebay store that consistently sells hard to find to figures at the highest prices. Or offering pre-orders of Con exclusives at triple the price when you don't even have them. No one would sell a high value figure for cost on ebay because it would only be bought buy a scalper and resold for profit.

Anyway seems like you are trolling to me because scalpers on ebay are really easy to spot. You don't often see them in stores as much because it's usually the loser who works at the TRU and snatches everything as it comes out of the box or a store owner wanting to increase their margin. Comic shops PAY their employees to stand in lines at Con and buy as many exclusives as they can get. Those are scalping behaviors. Selling a figure from your collection that is high dollar isn't.

Bubba304 06-10-2012 10:16 AM

would be cool to have but I don't have that kind of space, my Big millenium falcon takes up WAYY too much space as it is,

Ravenxl7 06-10-2012 10:37 AM

Are you kidding me? They make a Maria Hill figure, and it's an SDCC exclusive...

I doubt I'm going to have any luck with this, but is there ANYBODY that is planning on getting the set, but don't want the Maria Hill figure? I don't have any Avengers figures to display her with, but she'd make a pretty good April O'Neil...:o

The Falcon's wider, but you could still put it on top.

Yeah, trolling sure

ChuckSass 06-10-2012 11:43 AM

that Maria Hill will be mine.

denmasterprime 06-10-2012 03:14 PM

Just me or does it look sectional?

Like there is a new part between the "bridge" and flight deck. Wonder if some enterprising person might start casting/building some blue extenders in a few months..

Robogeek28 06-10-2012 04:18 PM

Four feet long?

Yowza, even if I still collected MU I'd never find a place to put it.

kenm2474 06-10-2012 08:36 PM

As cool as this looks it wouldnt work for me for 1 I am a 6" collector and 2 I am a to scale guy so this would have to be the size of a house to make me happy.

trekking95 06-10-2012 10:04 PM

Cool! We will never get a full scale one since it would be likely 100 feet long so this will do.

EDIT: Yup, being sold for crazy prices on eBay.....
Any other way to get them without going to SDCC?

Are you new to toy collecting? Of course there are scalpers. Less than 5 minutes on eBay will prove that.

UltraPrimal 06-11-2012 12:20 AM

Oh man! It's going to an expensive SDCC for me.

Boba Fettuccini 06-11-2012 12:50 AM

I've scalped a few times when I'm really short on money. I've purposely bought rare figures I didn't want just cuz I knew I could make more than what I paid for them in trades or ebay sales.

So yeah, scalpers exist.

...

Don't judge. I needed gas and music equipment.

This might be the first exclusive I turn down this year. This thing is gonna be a monster. :(

Haha same here! Although if they end up putting it in a blister card, than dang it's for sure bought!

Lmao. Well put, Boba. It costs Hasbro a few bucks to make a fig and they charge more than the cost of production for their product. That's called commerce. Nothing wrong w that, right.

Scalpers exist, however. They know who they are. That's their bread and butter. They go all in. Yes, it's borderline loser behavior, but you can't cast blame... just play the game... don't be stupid, be keen.

Scalping on eBay is rampant and unstoppable. Don't like the prices, don't buy. Simple. Don't be stupid, be keen. Lol. Bears repeating. Scalping fellow collectors on an online forum is not cool, however. You can fight it and shop smart.

Do your homework and be patient.

FrankCastle 06-11-2012 11:11 AM

it definitely won't be taking the flight with me. If I did buy it I would pay FedEx at the Convention Center to ship it

Optimus Vader 06-11-2012 11:15 AM

The SDCC Helicarrier looks great, but it's a big pass for me even if there are extras that make it to HTS after the con and I happen to be looking at HTS.com for the six minutes it'll probably be available. Too big.

..and the retail version looks like garbage now that we've seen the SDCC version.

Edit- I want to see videos of people lugging these things around the con.

Exodus 06-11-2012 11:30 AM

WTF just for the figure itself...
