Ah, hadn't read that far. Makes sense.

It threw me for a loop too since I'm only following the main AvX with freebies, and a few side comics. None of which were the one that happened in. |
Interesting... so we are going to be getting X-Force Wolverine and Archangel as regular releases, and only Psylocke looks to be the only exclusive to the SDCC. I think I'll just wait for the regular releases next year. I'm not that crazy about the body that they use for Psylocke anyway.
I can't wait to see the new female body that they are making for Moonstone, and I hope Ms Marvel will be the variant for Moonstone. |
But I imagine the X-Force AA will be hard to come by.

Thank you for bringing up MU stands! I bought lot of the Star Wars stands when HTS had them available and I love them!
Please forgive me but I must shout: HASBRO PLEASE MAKE MU (AND GI JOE) FIGURE STANDS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ON HTS LIKE YOU DID FOR THE STAR WARS FIGURE STANDS!!! Thanks! |
Jean grey, moonstar and moonstone!?!?!! Amazing!

Spoiler: Colossus did not and cannot give up the Juggernaut power. The demon Cyttorak needs to take it from him just like he took it from Cain Marko in Fear itself. Colossus has tried to plead with Cyttorak recently that since he now has the Phoenix power Cyttorak should remove his Juggernaut power like he did to Marko when he took on the Serpent's power. Unfortunately, to Colossus' surprise, Cyttorak refused. Cyttorak stated that Colossus has become his favorite avatar of Chaos in thousands of years because his constant battles have brought Cyttorak more offerings than Marko ever managed to. Colossus threatened to use his new Phoenix power to fight him, to which Cyttorak said to the effect of "Bitch Please, you're on my turf" and just cast him out of his demon realm. So far, seems like this change is permanent. |

Day before the panel, Dwight Stall told me there was a problem where the MU had run out of UPC numbers, and started to go to a different prefix. The retailers figured they could delete the old ones when they got the new ones, but Hasbro caught that error before stuff went out. Then they had to go through all of the communication related to that issue and basically start from scratch. Then, during the panel, Adam Biehl said that the "sell-through" wasn't as good as it typically was for MU, and they were surprised that the first wave was still peg warming. Then, fellow Arker Trainwreck got ANOTHER story: "that they shipped too much Early Series 4 stuff before the Avengers movie and the movie toys and Legends had MU peg warming as many collectors went to those other lines." So what I gather is that a combination of reasons fucked up MU distribution this year. First wave went out, and sold well, and then while Avengers and RoML started coming out, MU distribution started to have some problems with the UPCs. So wave 1 revisions came out and began filling pegs while collectors 'focused on' ML and Avengers. By the time they were ready for wave 2, it was royally behind. At least, that's my best amalgam of the answers. The other possibility is that they just plain screwed up the distribution timing, and couldn't get their story straight. Quote:

It felt a bit embarrassing when the crowd wasn't nice enough to humor the Hasbro reps about their side projects, or get too excited about the little news we got. That being said, Hasbro should have skipped talking about Bonka-Zonks and avoided talking about Ultimate Spider-Man's show. They could have breezed over that kid-stuff and everyone would have let it go. Quote:

They said he'll be dealing with these choices in the near future. Mostly in the AvX story, but some during the fallout afterwards. I just think they have too many writers/artists working with the character at the same time. No one can keep it all straight in a linear continuity. Quote:
He was pretty frustrated that they can't get figures out fast enough to finish a current team. |

As for Archangel nothing looks changed...unless they end up releasing him without the chromed wings. |

Plus how often marvel says "Oh you can read the main series and know what's going, the rest is just extra stuff." Yet you'll get lost like no tomorrow if you even dared tried to do that. As what's happening with me and others. xD Seriously, can we have one event that's even moderately easy to follow? The last decent self-contained event they did was the Thanos Imperitive imho. And that's because you could figure out what's going on by just reading it and the Nova prelude. |
