I have enough daughters to have a basketball team... Im not kidding :) they each have their own hobbies and loves. One HATES all things comic or "nerdy" as she so elegantly puts it  another LOVES wrestling and star wars another WoW an anything fantasy and another is an Anime nut so really we spread the board

I keep nothing off limits from them and my eldest always plays with my transformers ...for the life of me I cant figure out why she refuses to believe me when I tell her tigatron is a good guy

uberlad 08-02-2012 05:01 PM

I'm working on nerding up my 14 month old. I've been hunting the old Spider-man and Friends line (and the DC/Star Wars scaled counterparts).

For now, he seems more interested in climbing things or rolling balls around on the floor.

well that's the way to do it, both me and my wife would have loved a huge family but she has very rough pregnancies so its really not worth it. my 2 boys are amazing though i couldnt have asked for 2 nicer and loving children.

if you get a minute you should check out my blog its all about them (and toys of course)

Little guy loves anything avengers and is always very excited when we find a new figure for our shared collection. I'll set up Dio's with him and he gets to take down any figure off of my personal shelf so long as he plays nice, really adds a whole new level of enjoyment to the hobby.

Speaking of joy; the look on my boy's face when we first watched The Avengers movie damn near made me tear up, he just about exploded with excitement lol

My son is 3 and he has been by my side every time i walk into a store. Took him to see Avengers in 3d for his first movie. It was a great time to be a dad. My son knows than 90% of the people that work at the comic shops know.

WOW!

RodimusVTS 08-03-2012 03:54 AM

I mold, and cast so my 4 yr old, and 2 yr old sons think that my energy weapon accessories, and other parts in my drawer are for them.

I try to keep my collection out of their reach, but these 2 boys are very resourceful, and often out smart their 15 yr old brother, and 12 yr old sister. One distracts them while the other climbs on a chair to get at what they want. It is really fun watching them play w/ their Imaginext, SHS, and Marvel Adventures figures. They always seem to be trying to act out scenes from the cartoons.

Its good to see another thread like this up as it seems that a great deal of us on here love to show off/brag about our nerdy kids. ;D (I say that lovingly)

Not too long after I first joined this site I started a thread similar to this one where Parents could contribute pics of their kids action figure scenes or "dio's" and I got a whole bunch of awesome pictures.
Despite the thread itself being dead for quite some time now, I figured I'd post a link to it in support of keeping this "collectors with children" thread going strong. :)

Sorry, I haven't been on in awhile. None of those are the board books I bought for my son. I have seen the ones you've got there, but those are "too advanced" right now. These are the ones I got, every page is a board instead of paper pages which my son would destroy right now.

I've got about 2 or 3 of those boxes of 4 for my daughter. They're like Spidey and Friends or something like that. Were Rhino and Vulture are all good guys and play together :)

Not in these! Spidey uses his powers to catch the baddies!

Thank you, ill have to keep a look out for these then, my youngest would love them. he likes to try and destroy normal books too.

WoRkAh0LiC 08-06-2012 01:03 AM

I have a 6 1/2 year old son. He loves action figures and I taught him how to enjoy playing with them but take care of them at the same time. You will never catch him banging his figures against stuff or throwing them around the room. He simulates impact lol. We both go figure hunting together, but he sometimes gets tired and tells me he wants to go home... That's normally after the 5th or 6th store we go to in a day ha ha! For the most part, he loves looking at all the new toys that I buy. However, he knows that some are to open and play with while others are meant to keep in the packaging. One day, I will fund his college education with action figures!

If you can't find them in packs then check your local Dollar Tree. You can get each one for a dollar. That's how I got my sons their SHS, Spidey, and Transformers Animated board books.
