I've seen enough to know that by now Donnie would of had a creepy moment where he caught April in her underwear, where TMNT a japanese show. The latest episode "The Alien Agenda" went up online last weekend. Another network (probably Canadian) must have broadcast it ahead of America

Optimus Neeson 02-12-2013 04:08 PM

Blah, then I'm way off track.

Anyway, my point about anime is that they've been doing those exaggerated emotions for decades. So it's not really above everything on TV, unless there's been a mass cancellation of anime broadcasts.

You've got me confused. There was no new episode last weekend. There hasn't been a new episode for over a week. New Girl in Town is more than a week old. Also, I didn't know there would be a new episode today. Is it always on Tuesday? I could have sworn new episodes aired on Fridays.

Dude, yer late to the party. That post I made was made on saturday (Or sunday)
New episodes air saturday morning, though for the last two or three weeks, and this week as well they started airing them on friday nights, with the repeated airing on sat morning.
And yes there have been new episodes. It's been about a month now since the latest run of new eps (Starting with the Rat King)
Rat King, Kurai, Snakeweed, and this upcoming episode called "The Pulverizer."

Oh right, that goes without saying, The anime influence is throughout new Turtles. Especially Mikey. I just meant the transition of expressions Donnie had in last weeks episode was especially enjoyable

Ah, got it.

Optimus Neeson 02-16-2013 10:27 AM

I'm pretty sure Pulverizer is Casey Jones in-training.
Also, for a while, I had the impression Karai might be Splinter's lost daughter, since he never actually says she died - but the romantic angle she has with Leo is giving me serious doubts about that theory.

I was thinking the same thing as it slightly reminded me of a episode of the early 2000 series where the young turtles try to train a nerdy kid how to defend himself and he grew up to be Casey. And we properly have the shellraiser. But highlight for me was stoned Raph

Why should it? 1, the turtles aren't biologically related to Splinter, and even if they were? 2, if Kurai is Splinter's daughter, no one involved is aware of it yet, save Shredder.
So far (As far as I can remember at least. A lot's happened since she was introduced), the turtles haven't even told Splinter about her.

trebleshot 02-18-2013 09:55 AM

Based on what I saw of the Pulverizer, he's got a loooooooong way to go before he hits Casey Jones status. Unless the show's writing team are doing a complete re-imagining of his character. Which would kinda piss me off, to be honest. Casey was NEVER a Turtle fanboy.

Splinter finds out about her in "Alien Agenda", when Leo comes clean after the fight in the Kraang lab. But since he's never actually seen her, there is still a possibility that she is Yoshi's daughter and Shredder did the whole "raise-her-as-my-own-to-turn-her-against-her-real-father" thing.

Crazy Jetty 02-18-2013 11:50 AM

That's right, I remember that now.
And you know, last time Splinter would have seen her, would have been as an infant. So even seeing her he wouldn't recognize her. It would have to be something Shredder would reveal to Splinter in a battle, to basically kick him when he's down.

It would create this whole weird incestual situation that I highly doubt the network would put on a children's show.

Crazy Jetty 02-18-2013 02:26 PM

That's only half of what I said and you know it.

Don't misquote me.
First post you've made since I took you off ignore, and already I'm regretting it.

trebleshot 02-18-2013 02:49 PM

If Splinter and the boys were biologically related, then I'd say there would be an issue. But since it's already been established that they are not, I'd consider it a moot point.

They could do the whole "we have a bond" thing where Splinter and Karai can sense a connection between them. Chalk it up to "Ninja Sense" or Force powers, or whatever. It's not like that plot device hasn't been done before.

Even still, I would much rather they go with your idea, assuming the producers are planning on revealing Karai as Splinter's long-lost daughter at all. They may keep her as Shredder's biological daughter, but have her turn on her father due to Leonardo's influence instead. Or go the other route and fully embrace her father's vendetta.

Trebleshot addressed the other half. I saw no need to repeat what he said.
Also, I don't know what your problem is. You overreact for nothing. I haven't done anything to you whatsoever. It's like you choose to pick apart every little thing I say and twist it into a negative perspective for no reason at all. Again, I don't know what your problem is. I never did anything to you. Please put me back on ignore; you'd be doing us both a favor.

Starting with the whole Razar idiocy, virtually everything you say to me comes off as some low level trollish bait to trip me into some flamewar with you.
Whether or not that's the intent, I don't know but every damned responce you make to one of my posts reads that way to me.

I made two valid points that you shouldn't feel like the Kurai/Splinter relationship is less possible just because Leo and Kurai are starting to show romantic interests to one another (Which only seems to make it more likely, in my opinion), only for your immidiate responce to misquote me, cut it in half, and try to paint it in the most idiotic light you can. When you know damned well the whole thing was one statement.

And you do this shit like this every time you make some sort of responce to me. That is my problem. Every responce you make to me reads like you're trying to troll me.

If that is what you're trying to do, then the only proper course is to ignore you.
If not, then we just obviously do not have compatable personalities, in which case I appologize for my part and admit you are completely correct. We'd be doing each other a favor to just ignore each other. In that case, have a nice life, and I bid you Adieu.
