the reason were freakn out a little is cause of the history of scalpers like when the concept series came out you couldn't find any at stores, and these are being exclusives we all don't wanna pay prices that are triple or more then they are in stores...a easy example is toywiz is charging $34.99(without shipping) for war machine that's $22.00 more then they would be at walmart. we just don't wanna get screwed by the head hunters who buy them up and resell them on ebay or the toy sites who charge an arm and a leg.

we just wanna make sure were able to get them.

nakobass 04-20-2010 02:54 PM

These, In my opinion, are some of the Best Ironman Action Figures I have ever seen in my 30 years. They will go fast. Because collectors like me will buy possibly at least 3 of each to sell at a later date. And since those 3 inch figures are still all over the place. I don't think Walmart is going to take them down to make room for the 6 inch.

nakobass 04-20-2010 03:00 PM

Just Look at Transformers Animated Arcee. I had to stack out Toysrus to just get one. Good Luck finding her now. I really hope its not the case with the 6 inch Ironman, but better safe then sorry.

Well, the Stealth Operations Iron Man, exclusive to Walmart in the 1st line, was pretty hard to find in my experience.

I did, but they didn't last long at all.

nakobass 04-20-2010 04:48 PM

I think that's the main point. The figures come out in good numbers, but they just won't last long. If people really like a figure they will buy it. Collectors, Kids, Ironman Fans are all going to be gunning for the 6 inch Ironman figures at Walmart.

Hell yeah they will. Irritating to see these not out yet. I didn't see these today. I'm guessing now, earliest we will see these in the US is before May.

While I do think there will be plenty for everyone, my experience with the 1st line provides a different experience. A LOT of collectors were holding off on the smaller scale figures because prior to Toy Fair, there were hints at the return of the 6" movie line. Maybe the 6" movie line didn't do well at retail(not as bad as other movie lines, but it did last long on the pegs with many of the early waves), so we can say that it didn't do the best at mass market, but it was a hit with collectors.

The small stuff is cool, but the 6" is my fav. Hopefully there is enough to go around for all of us to find them at ease(when they are finally released), yet not encounter trouble, and not overstocked to the point that it dims retailer faith in 6" lines.

CyberScream95 04-20-2010 07:58 PM

Actually, I forgot about these figures. But I just happen to be going to Wal-Mart tomorrow, so I'll see.

So, the size?:p

Archienj7 04-20-2010 08:06 PM

Like I'm just happening to go in about ten minutes. ha haa With all the hype so far, I could see these being scarce for awhile. My TRU never got Arcee or Ratchet in, ever. Best bet to find them is a "super" Wal-Mart as they get a lot more stock than the regular ones do.

rob_charb 04-20-2010 09:47 PM

I'm not sure how Wal-Mart stocks their toys, as we don't have Wal-Mart here in Taiwan, but the Toys R Us I was at a couple of weeks back had 3 - 4 of each 6" figure. That's compared to the roughly 40 3 3/4" figures they had. The Toyland where I picked up my 6" Mk VI had only one of each though. So it would seem they're not going to be stocked in great quantities.

nomad1632 04-20-2010 10:42 PM

number wise you have to take in consideration that the 3 3/4" figure lines have been out in stores for over 2 months now and are fully stocked even the the rare ones like the war machine variant and concepts which are fairly easy to find and I see all of them in all stores such as toys r us, target, walmart, and kmart. I have hope will get fair numbers of the 6inch figures in stores and will be able to get them.

Guneagle01 04-21-2010 10:14 AM

Im still wondering why these things are already out in Canada and not here

nomad1632 04-21-2010 12:08 PM

yeah same here I'm not too happy about that...the waiting games getting old I mean were just weeks away from the movie release.

Morzilla 04-21-2010 01:08 PM

I have called one walmart store and on hold on another but so far nothing : (

What ______(verb) gives??? Any walmart employees in here? If so what's up with the release????

So I am under the impression that the blue eyed/arc WM is a variant?? dang, if that's so then I guess it's giving back the other one.

nomad1632 04-21-2010 01:30 PM

its all up in the air with walmart I ask people that work there in the toy dept and they know nothing and haven't seen anything in the back...I'm not happy about this I'm not going nearly every day to my local stores cause I don't wanna lose out on these figures. but no new sucks.

we basically came to the consensus that its a variant but its hard to say it very well could be part of the movie that the glow changes at some point. I have both and they look great next to each other and the differences are very straight forward.

TTT 04-21-2010 01:58 PM

Found them this morning in B.C. Canada.
War Machine is AWESOME ! ! !
Can't believe he is a WM exclusive...get 'em while you can !

shadow024 04-21-2010 02:05 PM

Yeah, decided to register finally.
I work at walmart, and help with the toys department. We actually put these figures out last week. Woops.
I guess there can be many reasons for some walmarts not putting them out yet. Maybe they didnt get their shipments, the manager is clueless, or even the associates. Hard to say.
Also, it seems we didnt get ALL the figures, like I have not seen any mark I or IIs or the Iron Monger figures at all. I see Mark IIIs everywhere. Hopefully we will get more in with the ones we dont have.

Edit- Oh, I guess those were 1st line figures, that might explain why we dont have any.

Unfortunately, that's a very fine line to tread and it rarely works out. I still have hope, though.

The short answer is there are different distribution routes for different countries/continents. It's mostly because the import/customs laws vary from country to country. In some cases, physical distance from the manufacturer's warehouse(s) also plays a factor as well.

Archienj7 04-21-2010 04:01 PM

Cause Hasbro has been getting good at screwing us over lately. Ba dum dum ching :)

T16skyhopp 04-21-2010 04:12 PM

The Canadian ones are on multilingual cards, the US ones are not, so may be coming from different routes/factories or produced earlier.

ludovicotek 04-21-2010 04:51 PM

Checked local Wally World today and nothing.

nomad1632 04-21-2010 06:43 PM

I'm checkn every day now, I'm dedicated to getting these figures!! I'm definitely envious of that the Canadian stores are getting them first very lucky but so unfair cause were gonna have allot more of a challenge in gettn them in the US
