They showed it, when Mystique got a hold of that file in the barracks that Emma, Banshee, Azazel, and a few others from First Class were dead. That's why Eric was upset and said to Xavier "you abandoned us,they all died" or something to that effect.

Saw it Monday and loved every minute. Can't wait to see Apocalypse in two years.

It's tops X2 and First Class by a long shot. I loved the future scenes with Bishop, Iceman, Colossus and crew. Wolverine was perfect and Fassabender as Magneto is now the best character/actor in the series. McAvoy as Professor is terrific also. Can't wait for Apocalypse.

Agreed, looking forward to the next one, although I really wish it wasn't set in the 80's and more in the present, because by doing so Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen most likely won't have roles in the movie unless they yet again do some past and future thing or something like that.

SPOILERS
These Movies are as much William Strykers story as much as the X-Men
There are still some Continuity issues but they closed the Charles Walking stuff Nicely (Still no Explination of Emma Frost)
Cameos: Kelsey Grammer (as Beast), Femke Jensen (as Jean Grey), Anna Paquin (as Rouge), James Mardsen (as Cyclops), and Lucas Till (as Havok)
Nightcrawler, Banshee, Pyro and Gambit are left out completely
so does this delete X-Men 2 & 3 or Just 3

What he said^ Although it didn't quite show all the villains but this is about the X-Men so it was awesome to see all of them, even the rumored Rogue scene supposedly being cut. Also I remember the uproar on QS outfit, but now I realize it fit the era.

QS was one of the best parts of the film. I remember thinking when I saw the stills of him that he looked horrible, but he is perfect in the movie. Loved that line "I think my mom dated a guy who could move Metal" and then he looks at him funny.

CMIII 05-28-2014 05:02 PM

I didn't see any explination of Emma Frost being an adult in X-Men First Class and a Child in X-Men Origins Wolverine which took place after. Which is one of two Plot holes still in need of closing. the Other being that the President tells someone in his office Named Trask to do something in X-Men 3 the Credits declare him Bolivar Trask (played by Bill Duke. This is a Fairly Obvious hole Bill Duke - IMDb) while in the DoFP Peter Dinklage plays him Peter Dinklage - IMDb

That could be a way of saying Magneto is his Father. I loved the scene where they showed the other Mutants watching the Stadium thing. Did anyone else notice they never called him Quicksilver?

CMIII 05-29-2014 05:15 PM

ok so heres what has changed:

X-Men (1999) Mystique was not with the Brotherhood of Mutants so it's possible that Senator Kelly and his aid are still alive. Rogue does have the white hair streak so the battle of the Statue of Liberty still happened just without Mystique.

X-Men 2: With Mystique not in the picture Magneto would likely still be in the Prison from X-Men with a Limited chance of escape. While Yes Stryker would have gone to the X Mansion it's Likely that Jeans Powers never would have gone nuts. Magneto would not have been a Alkali Lake and there for the death of Jean Grey would never have happened. Also Pyro never would have gone with the Brotherhood.

X-Men 3: All event are highly Unlikely since Magneto would still be in Prison. Jean would not have become Phoenix having not died in X-Men 2. This means Scott and Professor Xavier never would have died, neither would have Jean. Also Rogue may never have gone for the cure, Neither Magneto or Mystique would have been cured. Also Calypso would still be alive.

Wolverine: Much like X-Men 3 most events are Unlikely to have happened at all

Anyone read this and thoughts?

all that stuff is minor and you just have to accept it as a difference in creative teams. As for Trask he was never actually called Bolivar in X3 and he could just be a relative or something. Basically, X3 never happened either way lol. I wouldn't want them to stick to bad decisions from past movies, especially minor ones.

This goes into that whole different creative teams category, but technically the Emma from X-Men Origins is not a Frost. With Kayla being acknowledged as her sister, we can assume she is "Emma Silverfox".

Ugh, I wish they would have kept this. I would have loved for them to have fleshed out the future world more, besides the first few minutes of the film.

Good point on Emma Silverfox...And yes but at least it'll be in the blu-ray/dvd so that'll be something to look forward too.

Kinda funny to watch X-Men 2 now and just think most of it never happened

Just like reading a comic, lol.

Apocalypse!!! I feel like the post credit scene should have made him much bigger and given the full facial deformity, not just make him look like a grey skinned kid who just drank a blueberry slushy. Here's hoping they make him bigger and more physically intimidating for the next film, like how Thanos improved from the post-Avengers to Guardians of the Galaxy.

I'm sure they will...

Dang there's going to be an extended version on blu-ray next year, I need to remember to get that one instead of the regular one.
