I hope that the new T-1000 uses better plastic, and that it will be compatible with the Robert Patrick parts. I think all my T-1000's now have broken arms.

Surprised how many people have had problems with NECA figures breaking. The T-800 is no doubt fragile, but Alien and other figures too?
Not to judge anybody, but I wonder how careful people really are. If you ever watch some reviews online, people rip figures out of the box like they're Playmates or Mattel. I always treated NECA like a Hot Toys. They are highly detailed, I know that it could break when I handle it too hard. People will attempt to pull the figure out w/o untwisting ties, or even bend the figure out of the packaging.

Otherwise go on there NECA CS Twitter or necaonline.com and get a replacement. They are great with handling broken figures.

That packaged image gives me serious doubts if that T-1000 actually has any neck articulation.

If the entire torso is the interchangeable part then yeah a ball joint at the base of the neck or head is still likely.

Good point, but the scenario that worries me is that the interchangeable piece might be the front of the torso and forepart of the head (face~ears). That way the neck has to split in 2, so a joint is unlikely.

Clearly the guy that did the incredible head sculpts for the Predator and Commando figures was out sick the day they needed this one done.

That looks a lot better than the first Genisys Arnold figure.

In the movie, that particular T-800 is sent back to when Sarah was a child. She grew up with that Terminator as her father figure. The organic overlay of the T-800 model behaves like any organic material and ages, even though the underlying structure is the same. Kind of the downfall of having a natural organic exterior is that it degenerates like any skin and muscle would. AKA: That's their excuse to have Ahnuld back.

This actually isn't new. In the supplemental material on the T2 DVD, James Cameron explained something to this effect, but instead of aging the flesh would actually just start rotting instead if the T-800 was in the field long enough (although he never said how long this would take...presumably at least months if not years). Freshly flesh-coated T-800s would be kept in cold storage until needed to avoid this. Apparently there was a whole extended future sequence scripted for T2 that revealed this stuff that was cut for budgetary reasons.

The makers of Genisys obviously played around with that idea and changed it from 'rotting' to 'aging,' which works as far as I'm concerned. It was one of the few things about the movie that made sense.
