no, i didn't like the way he looked nor his size.... he was based on the comic book appearance. I myself perfered the movie appearance. so i ended up going the legends route with the build a figure version.

as you can see here he blends in perfectly with the big boy selects

Yeah, he looks like he moonlights as a coal miner. The sculpt isn't too bad in person but the paint ruins it.

nice comparison of the MS and legends movie version ant man. i think it's safe to say i'll be getting the MS one. it has the closed mask which is how the movie makes him look. don't know why they made him with an open mask for legends version.

as for the paul rudd head, it looks like him.... kinda...

The two Iron Man figures are from Sentinel's Re:Edit line. They're a bit pricey due to being imports but they are very nice. They come with multiple hands, a flight stand, light up features and lots of articulation. The extremis armor even has a few die cast pieces (it's minimal but it is there). Honestly my photos don't do them justice. They're also coming out with a War Machine, Hulkbuster, Iron Patriot (comic) and the Black and Gold Marvel Now armor. Personally I'm hoping they do the classic red and gold armor

The Marvel Select Ant-Man figure is the Disney/Marvel store exclusive version.

Okay..I've never even HEARD of these things before..I'm so glad i found this site...so i just watched a few youtube videos and HOLY SHIT....these things look amazing!!! didn't see any prices yet though..hope they are not killer.

i think you told last time you got it off ebay and it wasn't packaged? are there any images of it packaged? how do much do they go for? so they aren't marvel select then huh ? hmmm they are bad ass looking, and they haven't done anyone else other then iron man?

I preordered it from Marvel's online store. It was supposed to ship mid July but arrived last Wednesday.

Peaugh reviewed the Bleeding Edge figure a while back and he shows the packaging in his review.

I bought the Bleeding Edge armor off of eBay but it was still sealed in it's packaging. I actually bought the Extremis Armor from BBTS first and liked it so much that I went hunting for the B.E. armor but it was sold out everywhere. I was watching a few auctions that were $200+ when a new listing came up for the original asking price ($180) with free shipping so I jumped on it. The price tag is rather hefty on these figures so I'll be skipping the next few figures since I'm not a big fan of those particular armors.

yikes@ $200.00 I'll need to see these "in person" somewhere before i drop that kinda loot on em..

if they're the same quality as say a HOT TOYS, then i guess they would be worth it. but they're in the leagues of say marvel select or legends... then that definitly IMO is not worth it. to each is own though.

yeah i've seen a display case of those HOT Toys.. mostly all from the Avengers Movies...those are AMAZING..like some of the best sculpts(scans) i've ever seen......but i'm still not buying them.

I got the hulk armor select...luv it. What other type of figures you would like to see in a select type collection....for me it would be GIjoe star wars a modern masters of the universe....and actually maybe DC

your better off buying it online. alot of regular retail stores don't carry marvel select. the only place i've seen marvel select is in disney stores, comic book shops, and if you were to go to a universal theme park.

Actually, the Legends thread was meant to cover both Legends and Select, since a lot of collectors tend to mix and match the series to get proper scale for some figures.

But if everyone's ok with a separate thread for Select, then that's fine.

has anyone gotten the unmasked ant-man yet?/ I can't find one in Canada, so if anyone can pick one up, I'll gladly buy it off them.

finally opened my MS Ant-man !!! very good looking figure, the legs seem abit loose, other then that very nice. also the tiny Ant-man CAN NOT stand on his own. other then that i like it !!
