The second Gwen on-display definitely looks like an unpainted prototype. I hope this is just an alternate head that comes with the figure. I don't really want to have to buy two figures of her, but I do kinda want the option to have her unmasked.

On another note, the Taskmaster figure is being displayed with his Udon-inspired headsculpt, now. Need pics here.

For serious?

GONNA BUY FIVE NOW.

avcprime 07-11-2015 01:56 PM

Not sure how i feel about the venom, seems like the body proportions are not right to me, but I will get him :)

The embargo is solely fan created, and has always been fan rumor but Marvel loves to stoke the flames on it.

I mean we did get Omega Red, and Cyclops in MI, with Emma Frost, Rasputin Juggernaut, and North Star coming up. So if there really was an embargo, those all would have been pulled. Heck, Illyana wouldn't have made it into the Dr. Strange set even.

Avengers and Spider-man are in right now. The toons are helping with that as is the MCU. X-Men will make a comeback later on the merchandise front once they get a stronger audience foothold again. Fantastic 4, not so much. They've tried a couple times already with those on the two previous movie lines and a legends line. Those didn't do well. Fantastic 4 banks on screen, but typically not on shelves outside of the main 4 and the fantasticar. The movie is leaning more ultimate universe fantastic 4 and wouldn't really need a toy line until maybe the sequel. At which point Hasbro could possibly merge the Fantastic 4 line and X-Men lines as one toy line if Fox really is looking to merge those cinematic universes.

It's a matter of timing and striking when the iron is hot. Right now it's not.

Ok, now I feel the need to chime in here...
Yeah, the F4 movie lines all bombed, mostly because the movies were awful. I honestly don't understand why anyone would want a Jessica Alba Invisible Woman figure or Ioan Gruffudd Mr. Fantastic figure in their collection :D

However, I disagree with your statement about F4 Legends not selling. Fantastic Four comic-based figures typically sell pretty well.

The Toy Biz box sets sold well over a decade ago, and subsequently, the 2006 F4 Classics line was highly in-demand. Albeit, the Classics line's popularity may have been helped by its rarity. But anyways, check out the aftermarket prices on the Skrulls, Kang, and Dragon Man. How can you claim that only the main four characters are the only ones that sell when it comes to F4 Legends ?
A couple of years later, Hasbro even proved that Legends collectors would buy F4 comic-based Legends, and the figures didn't even have to be good, lol ! Again, the relative rarity of the figrues may have helped, but have you seen the aftermarket prices on the F4 Legends Ronan wave ? Pretty pricey for some of Hasbro's worst figures, lol.

Anyways, sorry for the rant. I just wanted to offer an amiable and respectful retort to your claim that Fantastic Four Legends don't sell.
Here's hoping we see some more big reveals this weekend !

Awww...I actually liked those two figures. Actually, most of those movie themed FF legends figures were good, except for Dr. Doom. Those are the figures I used to fill out my collection, since like you said, that Ronan wave of FF Legends was pretty horrible.

SDCC 2015 - Hasbro Marvel Panel - The Toyark - News

Galaxy Ranger 07-11-2015 04:26 PM

The 3.75 line is such a step backwards that I wouldn't even display these with them. These are even low for custom salvage.

Starlord67 07-11-2015 04:38 PM

Well I guess I'm glad we're getting a new Namor..but I was hoping for the green trunks. Isn't that his X-men costume?
I'm hoping against hope that Black suit Spidey does NOT win and we get a new character altogether!
I think I was hoping for more Legends news...What has been shown has been GREAT...but I figured we'd see more.

Iceman 07-11-2015 04:40 PM

That 4" Hyperion will be a cool repaint but I already customized my own since the current figure is so cheap.

Robogeek28 07-11-2015 04:47 PM

Wow, Abomination looks fantastic!

A-Bomb remold please Hasbro. :D

redkomic 07-11-2015 04:47 PM

anyone who thinks we are not getting a alternate head for Onslaught is just fooling themselves.

Captain Nash 07-11-2015 05:16 PM

I feel a great disturbance in the force. Oh wait..that's my disappointment. I should have learned.

I also think it's a little trollish to have the X-Men "situation/not am embargo" be what it is, and have a Sauron in the case as a custom. And anyone that thinks that there's no unofficial soft embargo/ban I don't see how you can say that now. it's rather telling that the ONLY X-Men figure in the dios is a custom, yes? Or are they just "not popular" anymore? Respectfully disagree with anyone who's not seeing this now.

I would hope so. I'm just surprised they didn't state as such as the panel.

redfox 07-11-2015 05:41 PM

So I'm assuming the Sneak Peeks are for next year SDCC exclusives.

3.75 in. Lockjaw= Inhumans
6 in. Abomination & Namor= ????

Snowflakian 07-11-2015 05:42 PM

Gamora is win outright. Can't wait to get her. Two ways to get captain Marvel for your preferred version of her, so that's nice.

Most of what they've shown are ones I'd buy. Nice to get Lockjaw soon too. A couple skips in there, but those will be nice for the people that do want them. New Warriors is getting another member done, so that's great. The return of comic packs is awesome.

Looks like the line is coming back in full swing. Slowly but it is and that's great to hear.

En Sabah Nerd 07-11-2015 05:48 PM

REALLY disappointed with that Gamora, now I think I won't get it since it doesn't go with the other Guardians in scale and that's her worst look, boo Hasbro boo.

CMIII 07-11-2015 05:56 PM

OK I am preordering 2 Spider Gwen's

I do hope they fix a few things with the Unmasked...
1) Hair needs to be Shorter and she needs a Hairband
2) The Masked version looks too pink they need to fix the paint
3) The hoody part needs to be a Detachable so you can chose the look of Fully Hooded with mask, Hooded no mask, and Gwen Head

Robogeek28 07-11-2015 06:22 PM

First things first, why is Red Skull's head on Onslaught's body?

Second, that Onslaught body, is it a remold of Thanos' body? If so, I'm sure that means his hips won't have any outward movement.

CMIII 07-11-2015 06:25 PM

Hey is there any way to send what Hasbro said to Mattel

•Success is due they think is in part to that they are listening to fans.

He is the Red Onslaught. Johann Schmidt clone with Charles Xavier's brain and catalyst of the Axis event.

Alrighty then.

Thanks for the info.

Dr Kain 07-11-2015 06:47 PM

I'm confused. Is the Red Skull in the giant robot armor the build a figure for the wave with Mockingbird? What else is in that wave? And where does Spider Carnage belong?

avcprime 07-11-2015 07:17 PM

Cool Spider Carnage, Why do I have to be such a spidey fan? lol.

Taking a guess...I'm gonna say that the Red Skull will be most likely with that Cap/Mockigbird wave...while Spider Carnage will more than likely be the swap figure with Venom.
