Also, here's the last post he had on it:

Also, they're limiting sales to 2 per person, must have photo ID to pick up. |

People complaining about the release method is warranted because this is so demanded but don't get frustrated with the wrong company. This is just like when they could only do the DC movie figures under a limited release as a promotion because of Mattel and WB but people blamed NECA for the difficulties. |
As much as I dislike NECA for their fragile ego and Pacific Rim line, this is totally not their fault. It is absolutely Playmates restricting things, not NECA. Hell, the pixel deco is probably the only way they could get these figures released at all. And despite looking far below the typical quality of NECA's sculpts due to the simple cartoony look, they still look a million times better than anything Playmates is doing. I wish they could do more, like the 2003 designs. Hell, they'd probably nail the new movie designs to a T if given the opportunity, that's right up their alley.
A damn shame Playmates couldn't work something out. |
Neca has been pretty good at selling their SDCC exclusives on their website. It's usually 24 hours only or until the item sells out. I got the Pamela Vorhees retro clothed figure last year this way.

I'm new to NECA i been collecting as a collector since 1996 but I always just bought action figures as a after the fact back when toys were relatively cheap. When it was easy to buy 2 of everything in a transformers wave/line. That's w hat I collected and opwned. I didn't even open my Trendmasters Voltron and now I cant find it. So toy biz ML dC direct and Gijoe pretty much stayed in pckg. Neca a.t.t. was into making statue figures. But recently last year I started in with the Alien line, and Robocop, and now I'm getting terminator, adding to my alien collection, and picked up Predator figures too with more lines pre ordered. I find they have the most detailed realistic sculpts and the new added articulation to their figures, like the Rocky figures, is excellent! |

So bootlegs it is then! Just have to wait!

Wow, just seeing this. This has got to be one of the coolest exclusives in the history of SDCC. So awesome. Wish it were available to non-attendees like in years past. Still, mad props to NECA for even putting this out. I've said it before and I'll say it again, NECA knows how to make toys fun.

Oh man, those are literally the same Shredder and Foot soldier molds from like '09 that never got released. I just might have to buy me some paint.

Preds broken or missing hands, Alien figures that are laughably painted or broken... And it only seems to be certain figures, like the Kenner AvP two pack or the prototype Alien. |
Well then...that sucks. Soooo...anyone going to comic con? :o

I'm sick of all the licensing politics in the toy industry. The companies that monopolize so many movie and comic licenses are the ones who don't want to do a damn thing with them but produce the cheapest products possible for maximum profit, and then there's all these hyper-detailed figures being made in Asia that they can't even legally sell here because jokers like Playmates and Mattel hog the rights. Seriously, why does the American toy industry mostly suck(with a few exceptions like NECA)?

I'm actually moving to San Diego in 2 weeks. If I can scalp a ticket to the show I'll definitely try to pick these sets up! |

So, OK, Mattel & (maybe) Playmates suck, but they're not the majority of U.S toys manufacturers. |

Finally, a decent action figure of Shredder...and it's in video game colors, isn't sold as an individual figure, is a SDCC exclusive..CURSE YOU PLAYMATES!!!
Oh well, I will wait for the more expensive fragile Shredder from S.H. Figuarts, my playline turtles will probably kick his butt. By the way, am I the only one who noticed Sherdder female posture in the box? His legs are going inward and his arms are very close to his body. Quote:
