Or, I dunno taking a crack here, it's a thing called lighting making it look like she has bags?

It doesn't work for me. It just looks off. And her lips are way too big. Is she trying to be Angelina Jolie?

metalalchemist 07-16-2016 09:57 AM

I am beginning to think someone at hasbro hates Carrie Fisher...

I wish she looked more feminine. All the female characters in Rebels seem undernourished and somewhat androgynous to me. Are there no curvaceous women in the Star Wars universe?

starsabered 07-16-2016 11:23 AM

Revan is good. Otherwise, it's a whole lotta "meh."

Thanks for putting this here. I am not sure why his cape is frayed at the end and I guess they leaned towards his TOR color scheme since I remember the gauntlets and chest armor being more red in KOTOR or at least a bit duller. Anyway Revan is still number 1 on my want list.

The Toy Box 07-16-2016 12:59 PM

Oh my god, what the hell happened to Leia's face? It looks like Rosie O'Donell merged with Melissa McCarthy in Tammy! And even worse, no photos of Revan. What is wrong with you, Hasbro? I respected you. At least we're getting a good Snowtrooper, right?

deecee4 07-16-2016 01:32 PM

From Hasbro's design director...
“the Leia figure shown at SWCE is a pre-production ‘first shot’ and is not final deco. We are addressing the delicacies of lips, eyes and eyebrows. The hood is also not stitched as it will be in final product.”

Wonderful Toys 07-16-2016 01:40 PM

Definitely damage control, but I could have sworn I saw the ANH Leia months ago and it looked better than this.

Dr Kain 07-16-2016 04:36 PM

You know what would be cool? An Ep IV Vader.

The Toy Box 07-16-2016 06:09 PM

Does anyone know when Revan is actually scheduled to release?

Tim 07-16-2016 06:15 PM

Sometime after September

That would be very cool indeed, and maybe just maybe with his appearance in Rogue One being based on his original 1977 look we could actually get that figure. Slightly asymmetrical helmet, torso cloth strips going over his shoulder armor, different gloves Vader huzza!!!

That's a great idea I didn't even think about that

Do we have a time machine to just go right now and get him?

They're soldiers, not supermodels. Hopefully the days of Mara Jade looking like a 25 year old super model when she is in her 60s are long gone. They could certainly do with some more body diversity though.

Thank god.

I hope they redo the head sculpt for Jyn and Leia. They look nothing like the actresses that played them in the movies. They still got a few month before these come out, I just hope they haven't started tooling/production with these sculpts already. Love the rest of the Jyn figure though. Maybe they can pack her with an E-11 or some other blaster rifle to go with the blaster pistol.

The one thing I like about the Hasbro Black series line is that they are going to make figures that Figuarts, Hot Toys, and the other high end figure manufacturers will never consider making. For example, characters from Rebels, The Clone Wars animated series, The Knight of the Old Republic, and characters that are now classified as "Legends". The quality can sometimes be suspect but they are trying to keep them affordable so that they aren't just limited to adult collectors. I love the high end figures and have many in my collection but I equally love the Hasbro Black Series.

That six-boobed dancer from Jabba's palace had some junk in the trunk.

Lol yes she did maybe a little to much. I can't believe they actually made a action figure of her she was in the film like 3 seconds

It's more than 3 seconds but it's always just as a background character, fun fact though she was going to get a figure back in the 1983 line but it never made it to production for whatever reason.

Wow I didn't know that i wonder why they scrapped it. After they made yak face you would think they would be open to any character

My recollection is a little scrappy here but I have this one book called like "1000 Star Wars collectibles" or something similar to that and as I remember it Kenner waited too late in the RotJ line to introduce the figure for production so it was received by the bosses as a "too little too late" figure. Of course I've also heard that it was something about not wanting to try and sell a toy of "fat dancer" to kids who would most likely be put off, I'm sure there's a lot of reasons that it fell through.

Weren't they gonna also make a rebel fleet trooper i read that in some star wars magazine

Dormamu 07-18-2016 09:30 AM

Mmm....I've got to get me "A Notha Ham" Leia. Because her cheeks look like she be squirreling away those Dantooine flapjacks like a Bantha.

Sabine I don't mind nearly as much. It's an interpretation of an animated character. Revan looks like he could make some noise.

And as much as I want some other characters like non-red arm 3PO and Lando Frickin Calrissian, I'd still like to see them try again at another non-derp Yoda that costs the equivalent amount to the plastic used.
