Can someone at the con ask NECA if they are going to do any Showa Godzillas?

It still baffles the mind how a face hugger hugs the face of a preying mantis in order to make that Mantis Alien (same goes for the crab alien), but it does look fantastic!

I always chalked it up to a weird Weyland-Yutani Xeno crossbreed experiment.

Sweet Jesus. The Gorilla and Mantis just so happened to be my favorites as a kid, so I'm gonna auto-buy both of those.

Probably done through an artificial host who feeds the alien embryo with Mantis DNA. Or it's just a simple gene mix-up like the Ripley clones.

I'm not exactly blown away by the 'hugger but I know I'll buy it anyway. And it's no wonder it got swapped out of the creature pack...

Mantis and Gorilla alien! These were my favorite two Kenner alien figures and now they're in the first wave of NECA's homage figures! Hopefully Bull alien is one of the next homage figures because that's the only other one I really want.

Cool to see that Raynor's visor can lift up, they didn't have to include that but they did and it makes the figure that much cooler.

I hope the Snake Alien gets made.

Love the Kenner eggs - are they likely to become a release?

The colour variants of the Aliens and their life cycle, do you think they'll get released as standalone figures, or... I'd guess they might, as selling the entire life cycle bar the egg would be a hell of a draw for what would otherwise just be a repaint.

I'm buying them all either way!

Aside from swappable heads and hands (and weird paint apps on the mask), what's the difference between the Ultimate Jungle Hunter and the older version?

BTW, this doesn't look hand-painted...is that a retail Vasquez? If so, she's looking great. Sometimes NECA's final versions don't look as good as their prototypes (AKA Bishop), but Vasquez looks amazing.

They said paint apps aren't finished, final version will look more accurate. New articulation as well.

With those shipping soon, they are likely final versions.

To elaborate just a little on what Joe said, the arms now feature double hinged elbows with bicep swivels and gauntlet rotation (maybe not the left arm so much because of the hose connecting the gauntlet to the upper arm). The torso is now fitted with an ab joint as well. Not a ton of new articulation as to put the old figures to shame but enough new to get some more out of the upper half of the figure in your posing.

I'm down with the Ultimate Jungle Hunter since I don't already have one.

Not sure yet if I want to get Scarface though. I love the weapons he has from the game but I was never really into his Metalocalypse look. I always went with one of the movie skins.
