Yeah, they said the AvP movies were being wiped out back before Prometheus came out. Plus, Prometheus pretty much copied the concept of the first AvP for its plot.

Yes, but nothing in this movie was coherent. Why would the people walk onto an unknown world without proper protection? Why did David kill the Engineers? Did he meet with them? Did they piss him off? How did he create the eggs and Facehuggers? Why did the spores affect these guys in mere minutes instead of hours? How come the Xeno burst through the captain's chest in minutes? How come no one questions whether or not Walter was not David BEFORE they went to sleep? Why didn't the girl just shoot the Neomorph instead of staring at it? How did she not know there was blood on the floor? What happened to the dude with the burned face?

Again, this does not make the movie incoherent. Some of those things are just CinemaSins type complaints. And the others are questions about the movie's mythology.

Alien Covenant is a coherent movie. You can follow the plot from point A to point B.

Prometheus more falls under the incoherent label since from its opening scene with the Engineer drinking goo, you have to watch the movie several times to even speculate as to whats going on thee.

Yes. Case in point, the Charles Weyland character in AVP and Peter Weyland in Prometheus, Covenant.

I still just want a 1/4 scale Dog Xeno from Alien 3. C'mon NECA, whats the holdup?!

A bad movie deserves bad figures.

This said, I just don't get these designs (not NECA's fault, but the movie makers'). What's with those laughable munchkin xenos anyway? I hope against hope there is a logical explanation in the film. However, after the visually stunning but otherwise stupid and deceiving Prometheus, I highly doubt there is one.

I'd rather have a proper sequel to Alien/Aliens (I actually was excited for Neill Blomkamp's idea!) than a prequel trying to explain the origins of one of cinema's most mysterious and terrifying creature ever. It's the principle of a magician's trick: the awe of magic remains until it is explained, and then it's too late to go back.

So glad his trash is cancelled, Assembly Cut forever.

Alien, Aliens, A3 are all near the same level IMO.
There are things to appreciate in Covenant.
The rest are pretty much trash.

The idea of resurrecting gerriatric Hicks, Ripley and Newt is a bad one.
Pure fanboyism nonsense.

As for Neca's figures- they look bloody awful, and so did the practical versions they were based on. The impossibly smooth and skinny Neomorph is a much superior design.
& They totally should've been cast in translucent plastic.
