I hope the exploding parts of the battle-damaged aliens are soft and flexible rubber or something or they're just begging to snap off at the earliest opportunity.

I have the first releases of these and they are softer, but still pretty stiff. No problem with breakage so far. I've had one fall off the shelf, too, and it was fine.
