Maz Kanata - Star Wars Black Series Photo Review - The Toyark - News

Maz is up!

Not the most exciting character, but it's well done for what it is. I think the whole wave's paint budget went into her boots.

I wish those red guys didn't have that arm design... reminds me of Seinfeld's puffy shirt. Should have just used regular armored arms... the rest of him looks cool though.

Dragasses 10-20-2017 08:02 PM

gawd the praetorian designs are terrible. hopefully there is some reason why the most boring/intricate designs are what we got.

and I like almost everything.

deecee4 10-20-2017 08:39 PM

I'm looking forward to TLJ but none of the designs are doing it for me. They're pretty much lazy and uninspired across the board. Praetorians look like they were a first draft in the design process. I think banging out these movies year after year is starting to take its toll creatively. Star Wars needs a nap.

Looks like he's gettin' ready for his sithtz bath. ;)

CobraCoffee 10-25-2017 09:29 PM

Good god you take some of the best action figure pictures on the internet. I love looking at your reviews.

Dr Kain 10-25-2017 09:37 PM

I'm sorry, I can not take that figure seriously. It looks like he is sitting on the toilet and getting ready to take a shower afterwards.

Snoak is a prime example of why cloth goods are terrible.

Bearjew 10-25-2017 10:22 PM

Reminds me of Hugh Hefner.

Anybody have a Darth Revan they want to sell ME?
I have yet to find it anywhere. If I don't find it soon I will be ordering am entire case fro BBTS

TimothyR 10-25-2017 11:38 PM

Looks like he's got some fuzz on his face.

Good luck getting him to sit with rubber.

Yeah, I can understand not liking soft goods, but I think at least this one is pretty spot-on in terms of how the clothes look on him. Plus, as you mentioned, were they a soft plastic or rubber, he would never be able to sit.

Dr Kain 10-26-2017 05:50 AM

I would take him not sitting over a bathrobe.

So you'd rather the character in the movie have a different outfit? Because as far as we can see, Snoke's outfit basically IS a bathrobe. This figure is pretty accurate in that regard.

Maybe snoke dons a suit of exoarmor...i mean he does look pretty decrepit and brittle.

Well we've only seen him as a hologram thus far.

He has the bathrobe in promotional images for TLJ, I actually forget if we see him beyond his face in the trailers so far.

Please dear lord above don't let there be an accidental windgust blowing robe open bit.

We do, in the background of one of the last shots of the most recent trailer.

Ah, the background part might explain why I don't remember.

Tomax 10-26-2017 09:04 PM

And that is when we learned that Snoak was originally Ezra.

Doesn't look too brittle when he is destroying Rey with the force

Wonderful Toys 10-31-2017 08:22 PM

I wonder if there's a compromise for these cloth goods that don't turn out quite right. The Multiverse Keaton Batman from Mattel had a semi-cloth cape, but the outside had some kind of faux-leather coating that looked pretty cool.

Whoa. I just watched the newest TLJ tv spot on youtube and there is a scene almost like this except opposite. O_O
