Don't tease me. Soon better mean tomorrow or a couple days after. I'm so excited and glad I preordered.

Nice galleries for both. I just watched the new movie having never seen the original or read the book and really liked it. So might pick up the new It. I kinda wanna watch the original as well; I'll try to just watch the first half and save seeing the ending for the sequel.

I'd wait until after the sequel then, because the original series wasn't split in half like the films. We see the characters as kids through flashbacks scattered throughout.

Same goes for the new movies. The adult Loser Club will take center stage in the sequel, but all the kids come back, and have a major role in the sequel.

I wouldn't worry about ruining the experience by watching the tv series. The performances are so different, and the little tweaks to the story, I don't think it really matters much.

Boogieman4hire 07-13-2018 12:05 PM

To be honest I hope this new photo gallery isn't the production sample because that frowning face looks really off. It looks like Simon Cowell under that makeup. It all looked better overall in the picture of the package layout. I also really liked the metallic paint on the arms in that picture.

Ohh ok got it, sounds good. I'll just hold out for the sequel, thanks.

Awwwwwww... wife said "absolutely not" to getting these. She's terrified of clowns, hasn't seen IT! movies. I'll just live vicariously through everyone here posting pics.

Boogieman4hire 07-13-2018 02:02 PM

Offer her a balloon. Maybe she'll cheer up.

Tomax 07-13-2018 05:17 PM

im getting this 100%, this figure looks superb!!!!! better than the modern version

WastelandAngel 07-13-2018 05:19 PM

I'm ordering all 3 3 tomorrow, can't wait till I have them in hand

Satam 07-14-2018 10:10 AM

Googly eyes on the "talking" Curry Pennywise head fucking kills it.

Villano 07-14-2018 04:08 PM

Neca posted their August shipping schedule and no sign of Pennywise. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's not delayed.

SpasticPlastic 07-14-2018 04:17 PM

They add stuff to the calendar all the time. I expect they will update it 3 or 4 more times.

Nice catch!

AlanThCollector 07-16-2018 10:25 AM

So in other words we're paying almost $10 dollars more for an ultimate figure that really only has one new accessory, but still one less accessory overall.

Again someone please explain to me why that Georgie Arm couldn't come with the original Ultimate 2017 Pennywise... a figure (an "Ultimate" one at that) I've been saying should have included much more from the very beginning.

I'm still going to get this regardless because it looks nice and I'm a completis, but there is no reason why this figure shouldn't be a standard figure release. Extra money for a figure that amounts to new paint applications and one less accessory is a really bad joke... thoughts?

Captainkrabs 07-16-2018 10:35 AM

Yeah I'll need to get both...

Boogieman4hire 07-16-2018 10:45 AM

Son of a.... Crap my extra money was already adjusted to get the Pale Man. Wish I'd known ahead of time. By the way I pre ordered the standard release of Pennywise from BigBadToyStore. Still haven't gotten the figure or a shipping update on it. Did anyone else it from them and are you faring any different?

I agree that the price is a bit more than it should be, but Gamestop sets the price...not NECA. However, the figure itself is different. He has blood all over the collar, as well as the faces, and hands. You couldn’t make this interchangeable because of that. The hands and heads yes, but not the collar. There are people that want a bloody and/or non bloody version of characters. Look at Storm Collectibles Mortal Kombat line....they have a bloody and non bloody of every character. McFarlane originally did that with the Movie Maniacs, amd NECA made regular and battle damaged versions of several characters.

dukefett 07-16-2018 11:37 AM

It's definitely odd though to call any figure Ultimate when it's not and something is coming out at the same time. If it's ultimate include all those pieces as swap out parts like with Gypsy Danger or something.

They probably shouldn't call the first figure for any property Ultimate in any case.

I see what you're saying, but a paint job shouldn't warrant a price jump like that and in the past even when NECA would make a battle damaged variant of a figure nine times out of ten it would always be the same price as the original figure. NECA does have some say in the MSRP. It's common for online stores and brick and mortars to to fluctuate the price by a few dollars, but this quite frankly is kind of outrageous.

On another note (And I know I'm nitpicking here) I could be wrong, but Pennywise never appeared this bloody in the film. It was really just his mouth that was bloody. And He was never seen with Georgie's severed arm. They should have given him the bare bloody arm instead. So in a sense this GameStop exclusive isn't even technically movie accurate.

I agree with you 100%. Before NECA did Ultimate figures I never batted an eye buying two figures just to get all the accessories or looks and collectors like me just end up buying two Ultimate figures anyway just to have both looks at the same time without swapping parts all the time or having a bunch of extra heads with no bodies.

I don't mean to trash this exclusive, but it seems more like a cash grab than anything else. Perhaps they should have just gone the standard figure release route for both modern Pennywise figures because right now this doesn't seem so "Ultimate."

Well doesn't he bite Georgie's arm off in the opening scene? Maybe it fits in his mouth to re-enact that scene, and they just have him holding it because reasons :D It'd be really awesome if the sleeve slid off the arm though so you could have him waving the arm like he did later in the movie!
