Thanks. I'm looking forward to them. I don't get to do comic book figures too often.

They're out. People who ordered them through Locker Toys, a Hong Kong retailer have them in hand. Check the Hiya Collectors group on Facebook.

Good to know. Don't have a Facebook account, so I don't have access to groups. Locker Toys is basically direct from the factory, so that means they'll be making their way to retail within the next few weeks.

I may get that Supergirl... and I'm not even collecting 3.75" figures. One questions for Hiya fans though: how's the hip and thigh articulations on these figures? Because I don't see any on these prototype images...

I'm also looking forward to your review, Joe!

These are just early 3D models. None of the official articulation cuts have been made yet. The hips are mostly fine. They legs swivel at the upper thigh, right where they meet the hip joint connectors.

Huh. I honestly forgot that Supergirl and Wonder Woman wore pants in their default costumes.

Gotcha. Thanks for the link!

Booted up Injustice 2 again for s**ts and giggles and it got me thinking about two things right off the bat:

1. I've said it from the start but I seriously hope they bring Nightwing back for IJ3 because Damian suuuuuucks and it still kind of pisses me off that he replaced Dick.

2. Since it looks like figures of the DLC characters won't be put off until after the main roster I really hope they make Starfire and Darkseid.

Chili 02-10-2019 09:01 AM

Not crazy about the female figures. Almost no curves whatsoever. They look like dudes in cosplay.

Don't worry, I forget pants all of the time...

Just not on my figures.

Can't someone just PLEASE make 3.75" figures of the current live action versions of the classic DC characters? From the DCEU (especially WW) and the CW series???

Is that really so hard???

snake5289 02-10-2019 07:40 PM

I've been playing a lot of Hellboy today trying to get him to level 30 and it got me wondering what would be the chances of Hiya making a figure of him? Since they have the deal to make Injustice 2 figures would that include him since he's part of the roster or would there be extra hoops they'd have to jump through?

I believe they'd have to also deal with Dark Horse which would add some hoops I'm sure. I believe the folks at NECA explained that similar multi-licensing issues are what prevent them from doing things like the Alien as it appeared in Mortal Kombat X.

snake5289 02-10-2019 08:41 PM

I figured as much. It'd be awesome if they can though.

To my knowledge the only Hellboy figure out there that's this size is that one from the second movie and it seems pretty pricey.

At the moment yes. Mattel holds the majority of licences. They seem to hate 1/18 scale and given even if they decided to producea line by the time it hit they'd be loaing the license it's very unlikley to change.
The fact Hiya was able to find a niche to produce these figures is a good thing.
And we can hope that the new license holder isnt 1/18 adverse when mattels license expires.

Jeremy Kin 02-11-2019 05:30 PM

In my opinion, this is awesome for $20. Not my scale, but I like suit design from Injustice 2. Definitely will buy Flash, Supergirl and Wonder Woman.

Injustice 2 - Black Canary and Reverse Flash by Hiya Toys - The Toyark - News

redfox 03-11-2019 11:59 AM

Nice character choice with Canary. Wonder what accessories or additional heads she'll come with.

snake5289 03-11-2019 06:42 PM

I'd guess an alt screaming head with a Canary Cry accessory. Other than that I got nothing.

New Injustice 2 - Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Red Hood and Swamp Thing Photos from Hiya Toys - The Toyark - News

deecee4 03-15-2019 05:19 AM

Really liking the Swamp Thing.

Oliver Tan 03-16-2019 12:18 AM

Sorry, I won't buy anymore from Hiya Toys. Most disspointed for me which is the the paint issue. When I got my Batman figure, the paint is totally worst (one of my kryptonite fist doesn't paint at all. With this price, I could buy a Marvel Legends rather than this figure.

icematta 03-19-2019 05:07 PM

Only Red Hood and Swampy are worth it, the arms and mostly the shoulders on the female bodies are really weird...
