let the army building commence! For the Emperor!
|
I used to play 40K all the time in grade school so I'll definitely be picking this up. Really hope we get some Chaos Space Marines, Dark Eldar, Daemons and Tyranids.
|
It looks really immaculate. I can't imagine it going for less than $100.
|
Will have to get one of those. An army of these would be fantastic but would cost several thousand. I am guessing we're looking at 100 US a figure. If i had the money i'd buy an army and setup an oversized "table top" in my garage.
|
Looking goood!! Given it’s Bandai and not Figma, the pricing will hopefully be reasonable. It’s 8”, so probably will be a bit pricey though....

Hulk's are bigger SHF figures that are about $80-90 maybe before shipping? I'm assuming these are getting a US release and will have plenty of chances for free shipping though.
But these also seem way more complex. Maybe they can get a lot of reuse out of the molds between figures to bring the costs down, also hopefully the license costs aren't that bad either to keep the prices down. |
Yeah if it turns out to be at around the $100 price point, I might get it as a cool one-off piece but no way I'd be able to collect multiple variants of this guy...which is most likely what Bandai would follow this one up with.
|
Reading this they're just calling it Bandai and not SH Figuarts, or Chogokin (thank god haha), so I'm wondering what line this will be released under? They all have pretty different price tags.

I don't know how this will be released actually. My gut feeling is it'll just pop up with a "Bandai" label but no already existing line name attached to it. This might have something to do with the Games Workshop license. |
Price revealed: 11000¥, around 100 bucks. Pre-orders open October 5th. Sadly I don’t have a source but the picture was most likely taken at the currently happening Tokyo Model Hobby show.
The picture carries the Premium Bandai label, so that pretty much confirms it's a Japanese product, if the joints weren’t any indication. https://i.imgur.com/wyDGVak.jpg |
Damn I was really hoping they were going to do something like they did with the Pacific Rim figures and make this reasonably priced.
I'm still very interested in this guy though. |
Looks like they're doing some kind of crowd funding for this.

Pre-orders are live!
You can either order from Games Workshop themselves, they will collect orders until either 9000 are made in total or once they close orders November 2nd. These orders will then be fulfilled by Bandai Japan, shipped to GW and distributed from there. They also plan to stock hobby stores but recommend ordering directly from them since they can’t guarantee which stores will get stock. Bandia themselves have also opened an order page on their Premium Bandai webstore. I have no idea if that's it or if other Japanese online retailers or western shops like BBTS will offer pre-orders as well. Personally, I went with Games Workshop - I got my Primaris Intercessor Space Marine for 90€ shipped, I think that’s a steal considering what the Japanese Yen price is and knowing that I will completely avoid custom fees this way. Anyways: Lots of pictures, accessory count is finalized with a rifle and a combat knife, plus extra hands. Release date is March 2020 from Bandai, orders from Games Workshop might take longer. https://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000139831 https://www.games-workshop.com/de-DE...ce-Marine-2019 http://www.toyark.com/attachments/56...0268099-j1.jpg |
Those joints just look wrong, but, as expected, it's waaaaaay out of my price-range for a figure of that size anyway...
|
If delivered to the US 100 USD. If delivered to Australia 210 AUD (142 USD). Guess i'll have to pass on this.
|
Made to order ONLY? WTF.
|
He's over $200 on BBTS, and while I know he's cheaper from other sources it's a shame he comes with such a high price tag.
|
Already sold out on BBTS.
If they make Dark Angels then I'm buying. |

Please don’t tell me people paid 200$ for this. That’s highway robbery. Literally double the price. Jesus. Anyways, it seems like this went well for GW. I didn’t follow the website after putting my order in on Saturday but looking at it today - yup, 9000 reached, orders closed from them. This was probably just testing the waters, the response seems positive enough to make more and to make it more readily available. |
Wow no time to think about this at all. I don't know Warhammer much but the fans are there. I guess when you consider their tiny unpainted figures cost a lot, a full large figure for like 4x the price isn't that bad.
|
$200 on BBTS and already sold out through GW?? Wth, this is an awful release. So much for getting one.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. There's always seemed to be a demand for GW stuff outside of the model range, and GW is kinda notorious for artificial scarcity. Hope they change course, I'd like to get one. |
If anyone is still looking for this, NipponYasan offers the Japanese release for only a small increase in price from Premium Bandai, that's more expensive than getting one from Games Workshop, but since their orders are closed it beats paying 200 bucks or whatever people are charging now.
