I would say Mafex are in general more delicate than Figuarts. I think in both cases they have some flaws with their earliest figures. All of my Kabuto Figuarts have floppy legs for instance, but they were some of the earliest Figuarts as well. I know of a lot of the Dark Knight - BvS Mafex figures have issues, but the Justice League stuff has been much higher quality.
Does anyone here have a Mafex that actually broke? Were you able to get it replaced? |

Figuarts are slightly smaller, but then like Black Panther is exactly the same size as the ML figure, so it all depends. |

The scale is why I'm waiting for some reviews to come in before ordering. MAFEX can be really up and down. If he looks to be ML size I'll grab one- but if he comes in a bit smaller or too tall then I'll be saving the $$$... MAFEX did an awesome job on Deadshot but he's massive compared to every other 6in DC figure I have.

The Dark Knight triology batman (no.2) despite reviews, I knew his arms would pop off and still got it, yeah but at the time i was like holy crap. Also this was the first figure they did. Batman V Superman, Dawn of justice: Superman (no.18) his head would easily pop off , again like batman i was like hell why not. I was also not sure how long this line was going to last at the time as it was new. That Being said... BVS armoured Batman (no.23), and BVS batman (no.17) I have zero issues with. Then I got my hands on The new DK Triology batman (no.53) and recently I got the Justice League Wonder-woman (no.60) and havent had any issues, as well as being impressed with each of these figures. Yes Mafex had Qualtiy Issues within their joints, but not in scuplture work or paint. Their Joints have been improved with the latest models. This also there 105th attmept at making a figure so it should be alright. I hope that this line grows so that they can make DC comic Figures like this Batman HUSH one as well as based off Jim Lee's Style. If your not sure about getting a MAFEX figure watch the reviews first, then buy if available. i kinda replaced my old TDK triology with the latest one. |

I've had $300 figures that shatter if you look at them wrong, and $20 that fall off a shelf onto tile and not so much as a scratch. All that being said, I have the MAFEX Comics Spiderman, and he's FABULOUS. Articulation is smooth as butter, and looks impeccable. I assume the Hush Batman will be made with the same amount of dedication. |
