The description alone really says it all.

Height: 38 inches
Weight: 10 lbs. (of cookies)
Width: 20 inches
Depth: 19 inches
Fur: blue and tumbled
Eyes: googly

Makes me smile every time I read it.

This might be my first Hasblo purchase since I quit buying GI Joes in 1990.

littlewolvie 07-12-2019 11:40 AM

And in the meantime do they absolutely zero with a beloved property such as GI Joe?

GI Joe was last in the public consciousness when Retaliation came out with a resounding "meh", and when they do stuff like the subscription they're 99% repaints, I don't have any insider info but I'm certain they've crunched the numbers, and if it was feasible to do something Joe related, they would.

There is supposedly work behind the scenes to make another G.I.Joe movie among other projects, so if that ever gets off the ground a toy line will surely follow.

I don't know what a kota is. I have a vintage radio flyer, though.

^ Kota the Triceratops. I remember people always joking about him on Hisstank back in the day... I never knew what they were talking about until I saw him at TRU one day. Hasbro made him too... or Hasbro's Playskool brand made him anyway... a giant Triceratops toy that nobody seemed to want.

Also the last ARAH Joe I bought was 1989, but then I started buying Joes again in 2008.

When everyone was F5ing like crazy for (I think SDCC Sgt.Slaughter... maybe Cobra Commander) the ride-on triceratops Kota kept being the only item on the "new" page... Rumor was that the Joe stuff was going up at 12am EST... and I think it went up at like 8am PST... so there was a lot of F5ing and a LOT of KOTA comments and screenshots... lolz... good times...

NOthing I want. Great news, actually.

Fans disappointed. Check.

Fans assuming this means Hasbro losing Star Wars license. Check.

"Not everything is for you!" comments aimed at adult collectors. Check (But then who is gonna buy this? Rich parent...or...)

Hasbro secretly catering to Furries. CHECK!

Yea same. If you don’t like it that’s fine but damn people on here acting like someone pissed in their cereal.

Whovian2018 07-12-2019 11:20 PM

Basically, there are people on here that think their army men, space alien and robot toys are cool, but this is kids stuff. The hypocrisy amazes me.
