Cool customs LordMudd!
Here's how the Joy Toy 1/24 Steel Bone Mech looks with 1/18 pilots. Without modification, it can fit half a regular 1/18 Free Man pilot or a full smaller and more flexible pilot like ayanami rei from takara microman action force line.Attachment 59287 Attachment 59288 Attachment 59289 |
I found this thread really interesting. My question; what do you think is the best scale for Military Themed Toys? I know the question is kind of broad. So, please bear with me. The 1/35 scale military scale was my favorite. Due to the model builds I think. I know there is a big difference in 1/18 to 1/35. I just wanted to get a "gauge" on your thoughts.

A few customs. They are mostly made from MTF, with a few Joe bits mixed it. Most are original characters, but I also have my takes of Croc Master and Major Bludd.

Some more of my customs. A couple inspired by Herr Trigger from the Venture Bros and You're Next as well as my take on Snake Eyes, Scrap Iron and Chuck Norris. The rest are originals.

The Fisher Price adventure people started it with me. You got figures and vehicles. They you had Mego do the Comic Heroes. Superman and Spiderman could team up to help the fire fighter rescue the wilderness ranger. It was over. I have no problem with other scales. But 1/18 had the cross line scale consistency while being able to have vehicles that were big enough without being too big. The crossover to military preference was really inspired by G.I. Joe. They weren't my first military figures in that scale but the were realistic and had in scale military vehicles. What is it about 1/35 that appeals to you? |
