and as before, will add that these are all very nice looking figures.

not related to Simpsons Ultimates but Super7 has started in on Simpsons ReAction with four McBain-themed figures
https://news.toyark.com/wp-content/u...ion-mcbain.jpg the lack of any firearms is rather conspicuous though. I'm assuming/hoping that these rules don't apply to the not-available-at-retail Ultimates figures as Robot Itchy and Scratchy get machine guns. |

but it's not like I need to buy these either. |
Super7 has updated the Ultimates Krusty figure by removing any items related to smoking (alternate smoking head, alternate hand with cigarette, smoking jacket, Mr. Teeny's cigarette).
on balance these aren't terribly huge omissions by themselves. but between this and no guns for the ReAction McBain, I'd rather not let myself get annoyed by whatever else Disney plans to exclude from the Simpsons line. so I plan on saving myself the frustration (and my large sums of money) and just not buy these. I could regret it later on but that's life. |
Yeah I saw it on Twitter. This semi-recent trend of "censoring" toys to have a better image of the property which does feature the very things they are taking away from the toys is so dumb.
Especially for Super7's made-to-order system. What’s the issue here Disney? They won’t be on store shelves anyways. In defense of Super7, they added a new headsculpt and added a new accessory, even though that does not outweigh what was lost and only makes further implications about how this line will develop. For those who want to know what was changed: https://i.imgur.com/Kx33pJz.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/5jg6Q3N.jpg |
There's also the fact that there'll never be an Apu figure, who's way more integral to a complete Simpsons line than Duffman or Itchy and Scratchy robots...

cuz like I said earlier, I was always going to be of two minds about that situation. that I would be disappointed not to have one of the show’s core supporting characters but that I would be pretty tone-deaf to not understand why South Asian-Americans don’t see Apu as ideal representation. granted none of the characters on The Simpsons intend to be ‘ideal representation’, it is a show that specializes in broad characterizations and playing with stereotypes. but the dearth of South Asian-American representation in the 90’s (obviously it’s gotten better since) meant Apu became one of its most prominent pop culture figures and I’m sure many were not thrilled about that. |

So... super 7 gets rid of booze and cigs accessories for a Krusty action figure from the simpsons show?
messed up since Hasbro or whoever was able to make the Alan Grant figure for Jurassic World action figure to have an extra hand with a cigar |

photos are up for wave 3! includes C. Montgomery Burns, Ralph Wiggum, Kang, and Kodos
https://super7.com/collections/ultim...timates-wave-3 |
$260 for an evil old man, an idiot child and two very similar aliens (and lil Maggie alien). That's expensive. I dunno how you folk afford all the super 7 stuff. Multiple lines of figures over fifty bucks each.
|
Kang and Kodos are the first two figs in this line that have interested me, but $150 for the two seems excessive. I could be tempted to pay what I think is over the odds if Super 7 did a Futurama ultimates line

also gonna guess the episode-specific figures aren't selling as well as Super7 thought they would
|
I PO'd. All are fave characters for me, especially Kang and Kodos. I PO from BBTS as their ETA's are an optimistic guess.
|
$55+ for Ralph...oof
|
pricing aside they look very nice and despite what I said earlier about tapping out, I could cave into to FOMO.
somewhat off-topic but I've noticed that Super7 has announced three Simpsons waves planned but still only one Spongebob wave. I'm wondering if some people saw how out-of-scale the Spongebob figure was going to be and decided to cancel their pre-orders. |
Wow, that is so stupid. Why would you do that Super7? Didn't people already have to pay for that Krusty?
I still can't believe they have yet to do any regular Simpsons family characters. Are these made in scale with other Simpsons toy lines? |
