Was wondering if any interesting marvel legends went up today while I was at work . Yasss for spiral looks perfect ! oh I see it was popular soldout . Thank goodness for EE otherwise id never get anything .
I was stoked for Dark Phoenix but does she have buck teeth?
Been wanting Avalanche also but lips are fishy.
Daredevil looks really good ! elektra looks great except the second heads hair is super funky . Bullsseye face sculpt is wack nothankyou .
In my opinion the rest are decent for a maybe but ill pass due to cost.
so spiral and mojo are bought for sure.
I cant seem to justify paying that much for that daredevil when I dont really like or want the others so ill continue to just pick a few and pass on the majority .

I wonder how many people prefer this Multiple Man over the trenchcoat version MM we got in the Apocalypse BAF wave. I remember this is the version we got in the MU line, but I always preferred 90s X-Factor MM with his trenchcoat.

I prefer the 90’s xfactor look.

I’ve been on the fence for the animated X-Men figs for a while, I still think it’s a lazy attempt to get them screen accurate, and I really don’t dig windowless boxes, but this Cyclops may have pushed me over the edge, that and the upcoming Spider-Man VHS figs they have announced, if this leads into a full on 90’s Marvel animated thing I could be onto another out of control collection. My question for anyone that has bought one of these VHS figs, how are they packaged inside? Thanks

Thatannoyingguy 10-01-2022 06:57 AM

Screw that VHS Cyclops. With shipment, this is close to $40 and they don’t even offer jacket with different alternate heads and blast effects. Too bare for $28. There are two different Cyclops figures that have blast effects and alternate head included for only $22 per figure.

That Spiral, though, holy shit! It’s amazing. Each arm is articulated as well as chest articulation. That is really impressive for a figure of this size! I preordered Spiral because it’s cheaper than the older one in the aftermarket. Also, seems like it has newer better articulation compared to the older one, especially in the hips area. Wait a minute… this is also PINLESS!! All the arms are pinless.

Daredevil set is tempting. I think I like the body on Daredevil better than Spider-Man, imo. Just wish Elektra wasn’t included, cuz I would’ve totally bought two pack of Daredevil and Bullseye.

Thank you very much! I missed out because it seems it must have become open for orders at some point and sold out. In a way, that’s ok given the price and number of accessories. I managed to snag Spiral though, so not entirely unhappy :)

This was my first time pre-ordering a ML and I must say that securing these preorders are tougher than securing a limited edition statue.

Kernel 10-01-2022 08:34 AM

The spiral from 2008 had a removable helmet and she looked really cool without it... on the fence about this one (prices increased value took a slight step back)

I missed out on Multiple Man the first time around, but picked up a single one on eBay at a small premium. I ordered a half dozen of these new guys. I'll keep the old one as a Jamie Madrox , but the new ones will be multiples. It doesn't totally make sense, but I think it'll work.

Serpentor sold out way too fast.
Utterly disgusted by Hasbro. More fuel for hatred.

Designincase 10-01-2022 03:24 PM

Serpentor was essentially a Pulse Premium exclusive. The website only had 19,300 units. So I think it's less speed and more about how much demand there was for this figure.

What is nonsense is "Star Wars The Vintage Collection The Rescue Set Multipack".

After just putting up the Mando/Ashoka/Grogu set. They have another with Mando w cloth cloak/Grogu/Moff/Dark Trooper.....

How many Mando molds did they make? This is becoming theatrical with how many versions they've made.

Raine24 10-01-2022 03:35 PM

Serpentor was gone in like 4 minutes after he went up for public orders. I snagged one during the Premium window, but I can't imagine how frustrated I'd be if the add-to-cart glitch wasn't there and saw him snatched out of my cart in the middle of finishing checkout.

JCarterVA 10-01-2022 04:01 PM

This was an expensive weekend with GI Joe Classified, Star Wars Black series and Vintage, Marvel Legends and the Headless Horseman from Four Horsemen.

So are there more available when release time comes, or is it no chance if one fails to pre-order these announced ones?

EvilMonkeyPope 10-01-2022 04:23 PM

I love that we're finally getting Wicket in the Black Series & hate the price gouging.

Zigerlion 10-01-2022 04:38 PM

That Indy does not look like Harrison Ford.

A lot of Pulse exclusives come back in-stock once actually released, but not sure about Serpentor.

CelticMutt 10-01-2022 07:56 PM

That Mojo is the exact same one as the 4-pack, with a slightly different deco. Same with the Longshot - exact same sculpt* with a slightly different deco. I'm betting that since the 4-pack is still available on the Pulse while all the previous ones rapidly sold out means that either Hasbro is just breaking up the set to recoup costs, or something happened to the set as a whole and it just hasn't been officially canceled yet.

*I'm 90% positive the 4-pack CAD head and the solo release head are the exact same.

I don't know about cancelled. But Hasbro pulled this same stunt last year with power rangers. They had a Pulsecon Pudgy Pig set that was way overpriced. Then a week or two before the con. Queue a normal wide release version at a much more sensible price. Worse is the figures were exactly the same, including deco.

No doubt that at this point, a good number of people who wanted Mojo and Longshot, just cancelled orders. A mass release was always planned. This isn't them recouping costs before the set didn't sell. They only have about 11,000 product on pulse. That is way too low for a one and done set.......unless you always planned to do a solo release.

Tarkin 10-02-2022 06:09 AM

I was hyped for Indy. Likeness is passable but looks inferior from the render they have on the box. But given Hasbros inability to get Harrison Ford’s likeness just right I’d say that’s their best effort so far

The old Star Wars Han Solo figures look more like Ford than the new Indy fig. Just sayin.

That's a lot considering the most active GI JOE online forum has 25534 registered members (many of whom probably aren't active anymore, maybe not for years and some don't collect 6"). I know a lot of (smart) people don't engage in online fandom, but there must be a whole lot more people into Classified or a lot of scalpers (but at $80 already...I mean...I guess fear of missing out will get people to pay 50% more than original price.)

Oh I see. I will have to keep a close eye around release time then to pick up what I missed out on. They don't even seem to last a few hours for some of these figures before getting sold out.

Alphonse127 10-02-2022 02:59 PM

I GET what they were TRYING to do with Cammy, combine her SF2 and Alpha costumes... but it just doesn't work.

That and why are her legs covered while Ken keeps his arms bare?

It just looks inconsistent.

It should be a Ranger suit inspired by her garb, not multiple outfits of hers layered on top of each other with a couple Ranger-y bits on top of them. It's messy.

deecee4 10-03-2022 04:32 AM

Its the otherway around...a Ranger costume with some of Cammy's visuals traits barely implemented into it. And her other distinguishing gear simply pasted on top of that. Would've been a lot more interesting if they tried to implement her beret in the helmet design and somehow work the basic shape and color of the ranger glove with her cool glove/forearm brace thing. But that's thinking too hard and why do that when people are going to eat it up anyway.
